I really enjoyed my time here for my birthday dinner with friends. The food and cocktails were amazing. There was a medical incident right when we came in and they still handled it swiftly and once things resolved, we were able to be seated and serviced. Highly recommend

La O Restaurant in San Juan is a total gem! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was on point—stylish, relaxed, and full of energy without being overwhelming. It struck the perfect balance between trendy and welcoming. The drinks were top-notch; expertly crafted cocktails that added to the overall experience. For dinner, my wife ordered the skirt steak, and I went with the grouper. Both dishes were absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot-on, letting the quality of the ingredients shine through. But the real showstopper? The Parmesan risotto. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor—it was honestly one of the best sides I’ve ever had. The ambience tied everything together: warm lighting, great music, and a design that makes you want to stay and soak it all in. Whether you’re out for a date night, celebrating something special, or just exploring great food in San Juan, La O delivers on all fronts. We left completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Puerto Rico. La O isn’t just a meal—it’s a vibe.

the grilled octopus was top tier, and the pizzas are great! there was a special pizza for cinco de mayo, which was amazing. they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions by switching ingredients in the pizza—very thoughtful gesture. also the mocktails were great, and priced just right. they charge less for the mocktail than its counterparts with alcohol which is very nice and not many places do that.

Staff was friendly, timings were very off. Drinks (that I ordered first) came when I had my main. As a starter I got the garlic shrimp, had to push myself as they were very very salty. And that comes from a person who regularly cracks some salt on dishes herself... Main was the salmon filet which was again very salty and inedible. It was recommended by the waiter to have it with potatoes but the royally sprinkled flakes of salt made the whole dish not very tasty. The salmon was a little bit overdone. I ate half the salmon and some veggies and potatoes but left most of my plate. The starter and main came very soon, I also had two other dishes on my table while I was still eating my starter and they then collected as it wasn't mine. Both dishes were quite oily as well. They seated me in the patio, to be fair, I was given the choice of eating at the bar at the entrance or the patio. Not a good atmosphere in the patio area either, kitchen is there and you hear yelling and dishes while every 5 minutes a cool blast from the Aircon exhaust passes by as well. Then the check came fairly well-timed but had to wait quite some time to actually pay. Again, people were friendly, just didn't seem very organized (restaurant was busy but not full) and the chef was way too liberal with the salt flakes. Pizzas looked very good.

The restaurant has a really cool vibe and would be a good spot for hanging out with friends or a date. The food was ok, nothing memorable, but the service was absolutely terrible. From getting there, we waited 20 mins for a table and the host continually said he had no idea how long it would take. Once we finally sat down, we were able to order, and that was the last time we saw the waiter. Someone else brought out our food and then when we finished, we tried flagging employees down for almost 10 mins to get the bill. We basically had to stand in front of an employee to get the check since our waiter apparently vanished. Wouldn't recommend. There are too many other options in the area

Excellent dinner!! Don’t hesitate for a moment! My favorite meal in PR, been here a month. We are off the tapas menu plus a pizza and everything was excellent. My favorite was the stuffed mushrooms! Wow. Great flavor. But everything was sooo good! Service was absolutely excellent

Such a great spot. Have no idea why I missed it before. Cocktails are top notch 🤌 We tried 7 of them and all were so balanced and so good (10 of 10 and believe me I am suuuuuper picky). It was late night so we tried only calamari and I always hate to much breading; to overcooked; super deep fried, but they were delicious and juicy. Sauce was great too, fresh and creamy. And service was amazing from point A (greeting at the door) and till all bar and staff service. Yarilis, our bartender, was amazing. So thoughtful and bright person. She made great recommendations and just made our evening. Definitely recommend this space. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was amazing! Service was exceptional. We had the stuffed mushrooms with chorizo, lamb sliders, and grouper with risotto. We made a reservation ahead of time and they called to confirm that afternoon. We got right in and had a pleasant experience. We enjoyed a nice walk around old San Juan after since it's centrally located.
