Service was terrible — the lady took our food and drinks before we were even finished. The food was so so but extremely overpriced for the quality. You’re better off going to Fogo de Chão for their $25 lunch. I don’t mind paying for a high-end restaurant, but neither the service nor the food were up to par for the prices. We also ordered other items I didn’t get a chance to photograph. I don’t recommend it at all. I’ve tried other Colombian restaurants with better quality.

The Best Colombian Food with Amazing Value ​I am absolutely confident to say that this is the best Colombian food around! The authenticity and flavor of the dishes are truly outstanding, making every bite a delight. Beyond the delicious food, the entire experience is elevated by very fair prices and exceptionally fast service. It's rare to find such quality combined with great value. On top of that, the restaurant is well-maintained, evidenced by the clean bathrooms. Overall, between the delicious food, the speed of service, and the reasonable cost, this place is an absolute winner. I highly recommend it to anyone craving fantastic Colombian cuisine!

Simple clean and inviting place with super friendly service and outstanding food! A must visit of your in the area I might even say even if you’re not in the area.

The food was pretty good, no complaints about the taste. The little green salsa was probably my favorite thing in the restaurant. It tasted fresh and lemony and a little spicy. We poured it on everything. I had the arepa as an appetizer and it was decent. The empanadas were very crispy and warm. We went around 2pm and the place was still pretty packed. It stayed consistently busy which could explain why the food took awhile to come out, but our waitress rarely checked on us but she was friendly. I think this restaurant is popular due it being the only Colombian restaurants in the area. Food is overpriced for being mediocre in taste. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing.

This place has come a long way. I believe the owner started as a waitress and now this place is booming specially during lunch. The staff is awesome and very very friendly. Server Hilda always has a positive attitude and is always moving around making sure guest are happy and we’ll accommodate with their food. This place has teamwork and the cook gets it done! Congrats LA Olla you have come a long way as a Spring Texas favorite with good Colombian food.

what can I say? The food was very delicious, the food portions were too good, reasonable prices. The food was served in less than 7 minutes which I thought was wonderful. I definitely recommend it, you won't regret it. very good service from Adriana

So I have actually been to La Olla many years back in Katy as well as had their food at Colombian festivals. I knew I was in for a treat ! I always get the Avena Fria! (Oatmeal drink) It’s amazing and a sweet compliment to the savory salty food you normally would get at a Colombian restaurant. Next is Salchipapas which is French fries and fried hotdogs together and it’s amazing. Simple but good. Then of course some Bandeja paisa. There is two sizes. I always get the large option Vs the small. It’s heavy and comes with alot of food. I Highly recommend it. You also can’t go wrong with some empanadas too! The restaurant was clean and tidy! The service was good and they spoke English well! Give them a try if you’re in the area! They are my go to for Colombian food !

I love this place. Food is delicious and authentic and portions are Texas size! We will be back soon!

The food was authentic and very satisfying. Our server her name was Adriana and she was excellent! I haven't had this much care and attentiveness from a server in a long time. She was so friendly and genuine. The food is great and you can't pass on the lemonade. It's a very casual environment and great for families. I'm giving this a 5 start brocade of our service.

Food and Service were Great! Had the bandeja paisa which was excellent!!!! Workers inside were also nice.

My family and I normally go here and never had a problem. Yesterday we went on our lunch break and it was horrible from the food to the service. I had a bug in my rice and beans . They only gave me $2.80 off my meal . I told the waiter and nothing was resolved I had to flag another person down to talk to a manager(which wasn't there). Overall horrible experience.

La Olla is great Colombian food great variety to choose from foods . If you're really hungry get the bandeja paisa large it'll be a lot the small plate is just as much food almost . The service was quick no wait and waitress was quick to take order . The ambiance low music in background regular crowd noise , place is busy but enough seating . If you're in the area check it out everything was very fresh and quickly served . 3 stars because some of the food has a weird aftertaste taste as if the oil is old .

Food is great, have been coming for years but today might be the last time we eat here. We were ready to pay and no receipt was brought to us they had a machine in hand to pay. We paid added our tip and asked for a receipt. Not only did they charge us for "large party" it was 2 adults 4 kids.. they didn't mention before we paid that tip was already included. All years eating here they never have done this!! Ask for your receipts seems like they are doing on purpose !

Food is good but can't say good things about server yamela. I always ask for aji and usually spend about 30 bucks everything I go there. So last time I asked yamela for 4 ajis.. she put 3... then I go today and ask for 4 aji. She then tells me they told her to charge for 2 ajis because only 1 aji per plate.. so she charged me whatever amount. I think that pretty stupid. She is the only one that gives an attitude when asked for anything extra.. with all that said I'll fins another colombian place to eat this is the last time I'll order here. I also like my plate extra fried ist a hit or miss sometimes they don't relay the message to the cooks.

Aunque pidas aji, siempre harán lo posible por enviarte las órdenes incompletas, si no son los frijoles en una bandeja paisa es el ají para empanadas y así , está es la orden 30 y no aguante mas poner el review. Para delivery es pésimo.

I am glad to have a Colombian restaurant close by. The empanadas are better than before. I stopped going because I didn't like the way the empanadas were made (too much potato) but now they taste so much better and they have a lot of meat. I love the green sauce that comes with the empanadas. To eat we ordered one small bandeja paisa, churrasco and chicken tenders for my son. To drink we ordered two passion fruit juice one with water and one with milk. The one with milk was really good, but the one in water is more refreshing. The food that we ordered was good and we had enough left overs for later. The chicken tender were over cooked and my son didn't like them. The service was excellent and fast. La Olla I will be back for more!!!

Food was really good. Service was fast and friendly. I like it here it's in my area so I will be coming here again soon. Just a little upset that I didn't get here sooner.

This place is disgusting, they have roaches on the tables I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Never again eating here

Mi experiencia aquí fue malísima y todo se inició porque le pregunte a la señorita por el sabor de un refresco. Después de eso ella se volvió grosera. Primero, nuestras empanadas (mías y de mi hija) nos las llevo frías e incluso nos las llevo después de entregar a una orden grande de una mesa que llego como 10 minutos después que nosotros. La peor parte vino cuando me di cuenta que a propósito cambio nuestra comida a otra barra diferente de donde toman la comida que ya está lista para ser llevada a la mesa (ósea, cuando nuestros platillos salieron, en lugar de tráelos a la mesa los cambio a la barra de enfrente para dejar que se enfriaran); fue hasta que otra señorita pregunto que de quien era esa comida que ya llevaba bastante tiempo ahí que ella decidió traérnosla, y la por supuesto la comida ya no llego caliente. Mi hija me dijo que la comida no está mal pero no lo suficiente para pagar ese precio y peor si hablamos del pésimo servicio. Si queda duda, nosotros estuvimos ahí el día Sep. 24 6:45 pm My experience here was terrible, and it all started because I asked the lady for the flavor of a soda. After that simple question, she became rude. First of all, our empanadas (mine and my daughter's). The waitress brought our empanadas cold, and she even delivered after a large order from a table that arrived about 10 minutes after us. The worst part came when I realized that she -on purpose- moved (from where they take the ready to deliver food) our food to a different counter (I mean, when our dishes came out, instead of bringing them to our table, she decided to move the plates to a different counter to let them cool down); It was until another lady asked whos food were that that had been there for a long time and then it was when she decided to bring it to us, and of course the food arrived cold. My daughter told me that the food is not bad but not good enough to pay that price and worse if we talk about that terrible service. If there is any doubt, we were there on Sep. 24, 6:45 pm

Came here for breakfast and there was a line at the door to get in. Here's a hint- if a restaurant serves breakfast it should open before 11AM. Waitress too our drink orders first then proceeded to say it was because the kitchen was going to take 10-15 minutes to "warm up". Disappointed in the service. Do better.

This is not my first time here and I've got to say this place has gone down hill (service not the food). I'm currently sitting in the restaurant as I write this review. We waited over 30 mins for our server to even acknowledge us. They were busy, I understand that but when you have 5 waiters in this sized place I expect the service to be way better. The food is always good here, never have an issue with that. The food gets served extremely quick. The food is authentic and brings me back to my mother in law's food. Overall, next time we come I'm ordering take out.

Good food but horrible customer service. Waited for 20 mins to get a drink. Actually, the drink came when the food was served. The waiter did not check on us not once. My husband had to get up to ask for the bill. Horrible dining experience.

Kicking myself for not trying this place sooner. Simple, fresh food prepared perfectly. Every single item on my Bandaja Paisa was excellent. 100% will be eating this again!

We were hesitant to try the restaurant because of the not so great review status. However, we chose to ignore the stars and negative reviews and decide for ourselves. We are so glad we ignored the negative reviews and tried it anyway! The two waitresses (which is what most of the reviews seem to be about, not necessarily the food) were very sweet and attentive!! The food was excellent as well as the service! We definitely recommend La Olla and will certainly be back!

My family is Colombian so we love coming to this place for food. Unfortunately the waitresses are really mean. We usually just don't pay attention to it, but today a waitress was really, really mean. 2 stars for the good food

Extremely rude staff and I'm not sure if this lady is the manager or owner but she was disrespectful to my mother when she went to pick up an online order. Mind you I had already paid for this order and they tried to gas light my mom and say that I placed an order at a different location when I'm not dumb I clearly know where I placed the order. She then ignored my mom and attended other customers. If it wasn't for the youngest worker there that knew my mom and helped her we would've been out of luck. I will NEVER give this piss poor establishment my money again. Just terrible service.

Best little hole in the wall. So authentic and so freaking good!!! I really didn't notice but my churrasco took awhile so the chef sent me out some empanadas! The steak was SO tasty, best I've had since New York !

My husband ordered the plantains with cheese. It was dry and needed salt. something. We both ordered the Bandeja Paisa. All of the food was dry, unseasoned, and the meat was tough. The only redeeming part was the sliver of plantain in the plate and the fried egg that also had no seasoning. The whole meal was simply lacking and needed mas sabor.

Let's start with the good, the Jucca and Aji were delicious and the carne empanadas were pretty good. However, the Picada was not good. The Chicharrone's, were burnt and inedible, the papa criolla were tiny little thing, and the Chorizo was like jerky. We are new to the area and my wife is from Colombia. We love our Colombian restaurant back in Jax but I think it will be a hard pass on this one.

Oh, man! The Bandeja Paisa the flan the platanos maduros here are excellent!!! I was born in Colombia and I love to eat all sorts of cuisine so take my advice and pick some up or have it delivered. (I used EatOutIn for delivery.) Service is great, too! Enjoy!

Been here couple of times and hasn't disappointed me yet. We had some great Columbia food with some great service.. We had the bandeja paisa, baby churrasco and the pollo a la plancha. Awesome food , will definitely go back for some more. Great location and great place .

Lived with my sister since my fall so we passed by here all the time ! The liver plate, beef with potatoes, chicharones , plantains, empanadas are all so good , now we even order for delivery. I have to try some other plates on the menu next time ! The only thing that is not so hrest is you have to tell your order a few times and they still mess up the order especially on the phone ! But the food is great !!!

Última vez q hemos ido en la sucursal de Bellarie, la mesera con muy mal genio. Y hoy vinimos a la sucursal de spring cypress y peor !!! la mesera !! Horrible servicio y pidió nuestra orden y se fue y volvió a pedirnos la orden nuevamente y al final el churrasco q pedimos la carne medium well y la trajeron súper quemada. Todo estuvo horrible. No recomiendo este lugar!!!

This place is one of our favorite Colombian restaurants in the Houston area. All of our visits have been wonderful. The food is delicious, service friendly and fast. Helps to know Spanish, some servers speak VERY LITTLE English, if any. La Olla's menu reminds me of the food I grew up with in the house. I recommend the sancocho.

You may want to pass this restaurant up, it's pretty evident that they don't take pride in their food. Husband ordered Sancocho de Res and I got the Bandeja Paisa... both dishes were bland... the Aji sauce was very watered down.. but we finished the jar anyway to add flavor to our dishes. needless to say we left disappointed. Pros are staff is very nice, restaurant is kept clean.

New Colombian restaurant just opened up on Spring Cypress near 45 and 2920 this week. The restaurant is located in the same shopping center as the ill-fated Mabuhay Filipino Buffet and the defunct Koya Asian Kitchen. Apparently there are 2 other La Olla's in Katy/West Houston. Walking in, the atmosphere is lively and inviting with its pastel colored walls and decor. Didn't have time to eat, so ordered to-go. Staff seems friendly but they seemed to speak little English which is no bueno since my poquito Espanol es muy pathetico. Only thing I'm familiar with Colombian food is empanadas that I used to eat regularly in SW Houston, so I'm in over my head on this one. Ended up ordering soup-of-the-day, sancocho de cola (oxtail stew), pechuga de pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken breast), and empanadas. Starting off with the empanadas de carne, the filling contains a mushy mix of corn meal with ground beef encased in a deep fried corn casing with some kind of green salsa dip. The sancocho de cola (oxtail stew) was decent. It's a thick hearty stew with potatoes, yucca, plantains, corn, and of course oxtail. The oxtail wasn't bad, meat was quite tender. The broth was quite starchy from the potatoes and yucca soaking up the stew. Reminds me of comfort food, but somewhat bland and lacks a packing punch I like in my oxtail stews I've had in other cuisines (Cuban, Vietnamese, Spanish). Last dish, pechuga de pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken breast), was a plain grilled chicken breast. Accompanied with salad, fried plantains, rice. Wish I had more of their salsa to flavor up the meat in.

Steak was not cooked fresh. They gave me a hard dry steak that they has put in the microwave. We ordered food that we never received.

Diverse menu haven't been to Columbia I think this is a good precursor for anyone who has not made the journey portion sizes are generous and the establishment is clean and reasonably priced

Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised! I had the Lengua in salsa and it was tender, flavorful and delicious! My husband had the liver, and practically licked his plate! We had an appetizer of chorizo arepas and it was super flavorful too. The plantains that come with the dishes are always my favorite part, and they didn't disappoint. We had read a few reviews about slow service, but we've had great timing and attention! We finished the meal with the fig dessert, and it's amazing!!! We'll definitely be back and look forward to it!

Food is decent and service is inconsistent...I can say this because I've been como to this place for over a year.....my last visit the waitress made me feel like I was bothering her when I asked for more napkins, also requested salt and she looked at me funny. So I have not gone back since...instead I looked for a place closer to home with nice waitresses that don't feel like I'm bothering them.

This place hands down is a hidden gem, me and my girlfriend went in and sat down at a booth and shortly after the nicest waitress I have ever met greeted us and was the best waitress that has ever served me, from topping off my glass with water to just regularly checking on us. The food was so amazing and the chimichurri sauce was spot on. The empanadas are so delicious as well as the churrasco I had. The mousse de maracuyá was amazing as well. Will definitely go back again.

What an amazing find. Stopped in to pick up some take out on a rainy day. We have never been here nor had Colombian food. The wonderful waitress worked to explain her favorites and make recommendations. Ended up getting the Tongue in Creole Sauce. This is some of the best food I've put in my mouth. Will be going back again for sure!!

OMG, this was my first time to sit down to a complete Colombian meal and it did not disappoint! Even the white rice seemed to be extra flavorful. Large portions here served up by gorgeous wait staff. I was a very happy camper here!

So #s #s #s Portion size 10 out of 10 I can't eat alot and I made a fool out of myself by seeing what the Bandeja Paisa (GRANDE) was all about and I had a to go plate for 2 days it seems. affordable 9.5 out of 10 - very cheap eats and you'll have plenty to take home afterward. The Pina is so good, but refills aren't free. Service: 7.5 out of 10 - Service was pretty decent (if you have a party of more than 5 or 6 gratuities is already included* I came here after seeing a video on Bandeja Paisa and I had this place bookmarked and ready to go. The food is fairly decent, but I wouldn't say it delivers a knockout to make me want to rush back however, I would come back just on a whim. The Bandeja Paisa wasn't what I had hoped it would be, but maybe I came on an okay day.

If you want to feel unwelcomed, then visit this restaurant. We visited this location on 12/10/2020 at 8:25 pm and as soon as we walked in, I was asked if I wanted a to-go order. My response was that I wanted to dinned in. Then I was told the restaurant closed at 9:00 pm and that the last customer would be served at 8:50 pm, I told the lady that cleaning the floors that it was only 8:25 pm, yet I was made to feel that I was bothering them. I was made to feel so unwelcomed that I left with my 4-family member. I cannot understand how you can treat your customers so poorly especially giving the current COVID situation. I will never visit this restaurant again.

Me and my wife where look for something to eat and came around this place, We both ordered the bandeja paisa it was great. We will be coming back soon.

Sat there for 30 minutes and no service. I tried to flag down two different servers only to be ignored. Rude staff, dirty tables and can't comment about the food because we couldn't get any.

Really good food was a little skeptical since they don't have a bar lol but don't let the drinker in me scare you away it was worth coming in for. I would have gave it 5 stars but the service is a little eh not sure who our server was and the seats where tiny, but I had a pleasant time there and the food was really good loved the plantains and the beef skirt was juicy and well seasoned & I don't usually like meat, my husbands beans were also tasty & my daughters pineapple water was refreshing. Will go back to taste more.

Food was pretty good but service was poor, not cordial, trying to rush on taking the order, not knowing about basic stuff about the plates (meat in oz or lbs), seldom checking on us so we had have to call them every time. Amount of time waiting for the food to come out was below average.
