Yelp
So glad La Osita moved to their new brick and mortar location in Montavilla! I loved their food at the food truck but it was always a little too out of the way for me to eat there regularly. I have only had their burritos but they're great! These aren't those giant burritos you might get somewhere else, but the quality of what you get is top notch and the portion is just right to be satisfied but not stuffed. Service seems to still be getting dialed in, and the ambulance is a little dark, but not enough to put me off the new spot. I'll be back soon!

Yelp
THIS WAS AMAZING! It took us awhile to find the truck because it was unmarked and we just didnt see it but so glad we did! All the folks working were super friendly and having a great time. They have quite a few vegetarian options and lots of healthy breakfast options! What a win! We ended up getting two ronan bowls (minus eggs and mushroom on mine) and a cocoa almond chia smoothie. I couldn't stop talking about how tasty it was the whole meal. Very fresh and lots of flavors which were all balanced. They also have house made sauces as well (chipotle was delicious!) Normally with chia seeds they get stuck in your teeth but they blended the smoothie up so much I didn't even notice them! 10/10 experience. If I we lived in town we'd be here all the time.

Yelp
This place rules. The love bowl and osita burrito are staples in my home. So flavorful and unique. The coffee is bomb too. I hope they get the success they deserve. The food and the service is truly phenomenal. There is shade to wait nearby and a picnic table, but it's mostly a to-go place.

Jason F.

Yelp
This place came up on Yelp as a food truck, but it's actually a brick-and-mortar location. They seemed pretty overwhelmed when I stopped in. I waited 10 minutes and no one ever took my order, and when I finally asked, they told me it would be another 15 minutes to get a burrito. Not the spot if you're trying to grab something quick on your way to work. It did smell great though, so when I have more time, I'll go back and give it another try.

Brian M.

Yelp
Saw the positive reviews about the breakfast burritos and decided to come try it out. What the reviews forgot to mention are the insanely long wait times. I waited 40 minutes for a to-go order and was mad. Burritos were so good that I forgot what I was angry about after the first bite. Best burritos in town. They just need more staff because they're so busy and now I see why.

Yelp
Had the steak and egg (w/o sour cream). All the ingredients were great however burrito itself was a tad watery. Not greasy though so that was a huge plus. They have a few salsas to choose from which were good but didn't try the habenero. The cart is very unassuming without any signage just being a black trailer in a parking lot. Thought there would be a line but turns out everyone was waiting in their cars so looked quieter than it was but still got my burrito in about 10 min around noon on a sat. Need to go back for a non breakfast option and get some of that hab sauce.

Yelp
Wonderful family run Taqueria! The homemade tortillas are amazing and complement the food. Pro Tip: order ahead and pick up to skip the line

Yelp
Dang, this is frickin delish. Where the heck have you been all my life?! Got the brunch tacos and carne asada burrito, and the latte, all amazing. Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
I feel like burritos are hard to nail, but this place has it down to the T. The flavor of the burritos are perfect. Not too greasy but not too dry either.

Yelp
Perhaps the best burrito I've had in a LONG time?! This food truck is super hard to point out - it's just a black trailer in a small parking lot with no signs indicating what the place is called at all. There's only one single picnic table for people to eat, luckily our group was able to snag this just in time before the wave of people came. I ordered the Osita burrito ($10.25) - it comes with eggs w/ chorizo, black beans, pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, and sour cream. We were coming back from a hike and the burrito definitely brought my energy levels back up lol. The chorizo was flavorful and perfectly spiced, the cheese was oo'in and goo'in, and you could tell it was wrapped with care because it held itself together nicely! The cashier was the sweetest person. She was super patient with us as we were taking our order since we were a larger group, and was very generous with the amount of salsa given to us when we asked. I'd definitely come back during my next visit to Portland! The crispy taco options are also great, try the brunch taco!

Yelp
Best burrito we have had. We got the La Maria Burrito, filled with carne asada beef, grilled peppers, cremini mushrooms, not too much black beans, cheese, salsa, & sour cream. It's filling! Will definite go back when in the area.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Super lowkey spot but whenever I'm in the area I always stop by! Crazy good burritos!
google avatar

Johnny D.

Yelp
Best burritos & coffee around imo. Actually best burrito I ever had.. Got the steak & eggs breakfast burrito and iced vanilla latte, went crazy
google avatar

Eryn M.

Yelp
I had the Osita burrito and green smoothie and it lasted me all day. It was also absolutely delicious. Both were super flavorful and also quite pleasant to look at! I can't wait to try out more items on the menu. The staff was great too!!
google avatar

Yelp
If you haven't had a breakfast burrito or burrito in general from here I don't know what your doing don't walk but RUN and got try this food truck! I here all the time and it is always good, my favorite is the carne asada burrito soooo good

Yelp
Found this little gem via eater.com's "Where to Find a Real-Deal Breakfast" list. The brunch taco and vegan taco were delicious, love the thin crispy (but not hard) shell. Also enjoyed the steak and egg burrito with pico, their most popular item. They offer three varieties of hot sauce. The Mexican Mocha is one of the better, just hints of dark chocolate rather than overpowering. The owner is very customer service oriented, very nice. Spanish speaking customers which is a good thing at a Mexican food cart. Prices are very fair. It took me a few passes to find it as the cart is Black and somewhat hidden.

Yelp
Burritos are small, but that seems to be the norm in PDX. Flavors are killer. Perfect tortilla, which matters. Salsas are spot on and all flavors shine/compliment each other. Service was was so so friendly. No seating but worth the trip.

Yelp
drove by this place as we were heading back to the airport and not much in Portland is open before 8am. It's pretty hidden, the food truck is covered by a building and it's black, slightly hard to find. Everything is made then and there, Expect it to be about 15 minutes as it can get crowded. Osita chorizo Burrito: 5/5, I'm usually not a fan of chorizo but WOW, this might be the best I've ever had. Definitely a must try. Breakfast tacos were ehhh okay, not something I'd get again.

Kelley C.

Yelp
Yum! What a great discovery! The Mexican mocha was one of the best I've had. We enjoyed both the carne azada burrito and the chorizo burrito. They were tightly wrapped and loaded with flavor. The cart was difficult to find and not clearly marked. I'm so thankful we didn't give up. We will be back!

Yelp
I've been to La Osita before and remember really liking the food, but I went back yesterday and the meal knocked my socks off! Let me start by saying I wanted everything on the menu. Their breakfast burritos look and sound incredible. Trying to be healthier, I ordered the Love Bowl and a mini quesadilla. I also got, to share with my friend at work who loves mochas, a Mexican mocha. I know more about the drinks than the food, so let's start there. I walked over while my car was being serviced at Ron Tonkin. It is not close, but I was directed there by one of the agents at the shop. I still remember that first mocha - it was the flavors, which are so comforting and delicious. The cinnamon and whatever other magic they use in the kitchen makes such a good drink I'm thinking about it years later. When my bowl arrived, I took it back to work before I opened it. Folks, I wish you could see it, but I was hungry, it looked beautiful, and so tasty, and so did right in. I had the shrimp and avocado topping. All the fresh veg, the perfectly cooked quinoa and beans, the loaded on spinach, and perfectly cooked shrimp came together in perfect harmony. I wanted to stop and save some for later, but couldn't. Not wouldn't, couldn't. To make an amazing thing even better, all their containers and utensils are made of compostable material.

Yelp
Pros: friendly service, good flavors Cons: extremely oily, meat was full of gristle; cart is hard to locate.

Yelp
I was stuck in the area waiting for a car repair and I randomly stumbled across La Osita on google maps while looking for somewhere to walk. I was excited to see they had some vegan options but honestly not sure what to expect. Im happy to report that the vegan tacos were delicious! I got mine with no pico though and subbed real cheese and habanero salsa (was pretty mild). Even though the ingredients were relatively simple, La Osita's veggie tacos were still flavorful and tasty and thats coming from someone who works at a Mexican restaurant with multiple veg taco options. My iced latte was perfect too. Id definitely come back if I actually lived in this area. The employees were also very friendly. ONLY improvement Id make is maybe a table or two to sit at.

Yelp
Cute little truck with amazing fresh food! No chicken option so I got a Carne Asada quesadilla and my hubby for the breakfast burrito. Everything tasted so fresh and we got a smoothie and agua Fresca that was just as delicious! If we are ever in this area again we will definitely stop by again! Customer service was welcoming and nice too!

Yelp
Great Breakfast Bacon tacos (love the pickled onions!) and Chorizo breakfast burrito. Wonderful friendly service with a smile. You should try and catch them before they move to brick & mortar. Carne Asada burritos, too. You can have em as a bowl as well. The salsas are yummy. All of it is yummy. Just throw a dart at the menu and enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food with very nice people. I personally got the osita burrito which was delicious. People that I ate with got the brunch tacos, steak and egg burrito, and carne asada tacos, all of which looked very appealing.

Yelp
Since I'm up in the Portland area for a visit, I'm hitting some of the places I've been wanting to try. This is a food cart in the parking lot of a little mall off of SE 122nd Avenue. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Service was very friendly, relaxed and quick. I ordered two brunch tacos. Soon I had two piping hot tacos basking in the morning sun! They were amazing. All the ingredients went together beautifully. The tortillas had a great texture. The rich eggs, cheese and bacon were complimented by pickled onions, green salsa, Pico de Gallo, and bell peppers. Two tacos are a good amount for a meal if you aren't getting anything else. I probably could have easily eaten three. They have lots of interesting drink options, from lattes to smoothies. Burritos, tacos and bowls are available and all sounded tasty to me. The woman that handled my transaction even offered to bring out their outdoor seating if I wanted to eat my food there. I was heading to another errand, but I thought that was a kind offer. This place was definitely worth the drive up to Portland!

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, it smells like it's winter outside and the house is warm with good food cooking. The service is great, and the burrito was delish, I don't have any pictures because I was hungry.

Yelp
Food made with love and care, super friendly people, would come here every day if I lived nearby.

Yelp
Got the steak and eggs breakfast burrito and the carne asada burrito. Loved that they toasted the tortilla to a beautiful crisp. You just gotta make sure you eat it fresh! Great amount of filling. They actually include a good portion of meat in their burritos, instead of rice or bean fillers. Totally non-descript- they're just in a black food truck. Apparently they'll be moving to a brick and mortar soon so they decided not to label the food truck. Where they are now, there's one picnic table seating area tucked in the pine tree. Great service. They open early, so they're a good option for when you're trying to get to early morning hikes. Really good food with a solid burrito that could fill a hungry pregnant woman.

Yelp
Sketchy looking food truck... and then you have their tacos and fall in love! Great food and some good breakfast and coffee! Workers are super nice too!

Traci B.

Yelp
Awesome lunch spot!! Healthy and delicious; you can tell they take pride in what they do :) Tried the salsa's & they were all are delicious! I also recommend the green smoothie, mine was plenty sweet without the agave :) My coworkers and have gone now too.. for the tacos & bowls We'll all be back!
google avatar

Krista W.

Yelp
The food was absolutely incredible. the chipotle salsa compliments the carne asada perfectly, and we loved that breakfast was served the entire time it was open! will definitely return, the atmosphere and service were impeccable.
google avatar

Lacey B.

Yelp
Such an incredible food cart! Love the carne asada burrito from here, but have also had their breakfast tacos and bowls. Love that their burritos have black beans and spinach in them, which makes them less heavy and greasy but still packed full of flavor! Coffee is a bit on the sweet side for me, but something you can easily ask for less sweet. It is in a bit of a small parking lot and it can be a bit difficult to find. I saw that they were planning on opening a brick and mortar which would be wonderful for this family owned business. Some of the best Mexican food on the eastside side hands down!
google avatar

Bryan Y.

Yelp
at present, this is my favorite place to get burritos in portland. their breakfast burritos are amazingly layered and delicious. their non-breakfast burritos are also bursting with flavor. there is a lot happening in these burritos the brunch tacos are glorious. there are straight up big slices of crunchy bacon sitting atop the taco, along with a straight up fried over hard egg, and the other stuff, including pickled onions, are great accompaniments to the taco. unique and lovely item on their menu the salsas are awesome, particularly the habanero salsa. best salsa in my experience here in pdx. and i don't think they charge extra for additional salsa here and there. maybe if you ask for a lot a lot, and if they do it's pretty cheap, relatively and lastly, the woman working here is very pleasant and lovely to speak to. very welcoming and nice. my only wish is they were located in SE

Yelp
Amazing food! I go every time I'm in the area. Oita Burrito is amazing. Would recommend to everyone.

Yelp
I work nearby and I've been on the lookout for something wholesome, fresh and affordable to grab for lunch. La Osita is just the place! Everything I've had here has been so delicious. My first time here I had the Love Bowl with both shrimp and avocado. It was very hearty and satisfying while still feeling fresh and healthy. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned, the quinoa and black beans were so flavorful and I loved all the fresh veggies! The best part was that I felt amazing after eating it instead of ready for a nap. Today I tried the Brunch Taco and the Green Smoothie. The taco was LOADED with a perfectly fried egg, thick bacon, Tillamook cheese, grilled bell pepper, pico and pickled onions. I loved the complex flavors happening with the bacon, sweet peppers and the acidity of the pickled onions - just wish I got two! The smoothie was excellent as well! Not to sweet but super tasty and refreshing. Also, very fast and friendly service. I can't wait to go back and try the coffee drinks!

Yelp
A random find but a very good discovery! The chorizo taste like home!! The osita burrito taste like mamás kitchen. I thought it was kind of small but it's the perfect size to make you feel content & not overly full. Hands down the most flavorful chorizo burrito I've had outside of my own (or mamás ) kitchen. The horchata is on the thick side for consistency if you're into that. It's got hints of cinnamon at the same time strawberry. I also ordered a latte de canela with oatmilk. The oatmilk sort of overpowered the lattes flavor, maybe I'll try whole milk next time. But overall , so worth it. Also got another burrito (steak & eggs) for my partner but has yet to be opened. Around $32 for 2 drinks & 2 burritos, spendy but I'll be coming back. Almost forgot , their green salsa is also amazingly seasoned.

Yelp
Burritos are extraordinary! Super nice people too. We WILL be going back. A little hard to find but worth the investigation.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Landed at PDX and searched for "breakfast burrito" and this place came up. We drove over and almost didn't see it. It is a tiny trailer in a parking lot. It was awesome. The Osito burrito was unique and delicious.
google avatar

Chila O.

Yelp
Best brunch Tacos I have ever eaten. Hands down and I have been all over the US and other countries.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
Definitely hard to find but worth the search. Black trailer with no signage behind a tree next to a strip mall, apple maps pointed me next door. Could see a bunch of people waiting in their cars and a couple standing and eating burritos so i knew it had to be there and popular. Friendly staff greet ya and its hard to pass up the Osita burrito. It was really good. Very juicy though but it was like liquid deliciousness. Now that i know where it is and where to turn Ill be back - its worth the hunt!
google avatar

Yelp
Ooh man, La Osita may be just a small food cart, but boy are they good. They are tucked away in a parking lot on 122nd AVE, next to Plaza 122 - easy to miss, but don't give up! They feature breakfast tacos, burritos, bowls, vegan substitutes, coffee, and more - this cart has it all. I ordered two of their breakfast tacos, and the woman who took my order was so nice and welcoming! I got one taco with chipotle salsa, and the other taco with their verde salsa. You order at the window and they hand you a buzzer so you can wait in your car. They don't have tables set up or anything, don't expect to be able to eat there. My tacos were ready in about 10 minutes, and they were delicious. Loaded with eggs, bacon, pickled onions, and salsa, they don't skimp on toppings. Although I wouldn't say the flavors were over the top amazing, but I can tell they put a lot of love in the food they make. It was heartwarming, comforting food. Wonderful people, wonderful food - what more can you ask for? Please stop by La Osita next time you're looking for some good ol' breakfast tacos. They won't disappoint!
google avatar

Kara C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I can't believe this gem has been right around the corner and we just discovered it. These brunch tacos are amazing! Packed with flavor, crispy bacon, fried egg and grilled veggies! You can tell these are prepared with care. We also ordered the steak and egg burrito and Osita burrito. Both delicious as well!
google avatar

Angelina V.

Yelp
Super friendly! Great breakfast La Osita burritos. When I arrived they greeted me right away and were very nice. They made my order of 6 burritos in 10-15mins! (I called ahead). I was also given samples of their green juice. Great food truck, just a bit hidden.
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
I've come by twice now, and they've amazed me both times. It's a bit difficult for me to get my lazy bum here early in the morning, but I can usually make it for brunch when I'm looking for something filling and delicious. I was able to get a vegan burrito (splurged a dollar for avocado) and get a massive, flavor-packed burrito filled with goodies. The first time I came, I got two tacos which were also amazing. Didn't quite appease my larger appetite, but the burrito definitely does. They're quick, delicious, and I love knowing that I'm supporting a local business. I heard that there are plans to expand the food cart pod here, which means I'll be coming by even more often. But for now, this east side secret is still pretty hidden. I definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to try an amazing food truck before it goes absolutely viral. For such a small plaza, there's a lot going on. I'll be stopping by more often to see what else is moving in!

Yelp
A staple in SE Portland! Everything is delicious and fresh. My go-to is a carne asada burrito with an iced Mexican Mocha.

Yelp
Had a burrito craving this morning and this hit the spot. Excellent service, I called ahead and it was ready when I arrived. Everyone was very sweet. Definitely will be coming back for another Osita burrito

Yelp
Great burritos, coffee, and smoothies!! I absolutely love this small hidden cart and often come here for lunch.
google avatar

Taylor S.

Yelp
This tiny, unassuming solo cart in a parking lot in East Portland is the definition of a hidden gem. Customer service is fantastic. This place is clean and safe and the only thing you need to know is that the Osita Breakfast Burrito is THEE BEST breakfast burrito in this city. It's worth the 20 minutes drive from my house to go and get this burrito on a morning when it is dire. I can't wait to return and try other menu items!
