Fideuà Is Barcelona’s Best Seafood Dish | Eater

"A stylish, family-run spot at the edge of the Eixample where the owner-chef presides over wide paella burners; any paella on the menu can be prepared with fideus instead of rice, and the cuttlefish-laden fideuà negra comes highly recommended." - Jeff Koehler

We were told this restaurant was worth a visit by one of our local friend. It did not disappoint but it surprised us with a flavoursome paella - we tried 2 - and some great starters. Staff is really helpful and friendly. They speak Italian, English and were very helpful in choosing local Catalonia wines. All together a fantastic night and one to come back too.

A great restaurant that I’d highly recommend! We had a salad, calamari and eggplant as our entrees - a good idea to have an entree or two while you wait for the paella as it’s freshly cooked. The paella was fantastic, easily the best I’ve had in Barcelona. The portion sizes are quite big so we struggled to finish our meal. We also tried the cava which was a refreshing and tasty drink. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We recently had dinner at this restaurant, and our expectations were quite high — unfortunately, the reality was rather disappointing. The drinks were nice, although we had to wait a very long time for them, and the table remained empty during that period. The starters were fine as well. However, in my opinion, the paella was not worth the price at all. I expected it to be less dry and more flavorful. It was served on a huge plate, but the layer of rice was extremely thin just a few grains which gave the illusion of a large portion. The fish also seems delicious, but there really aren't many edible parts. The price of €26 per person for this is honestly outrageous. The service was also below mediocre and careless. After we finished our starters, the waiter came to change the plates, but he simply took them and left the dirty cutlery on the table. As a result, the tablecloth became dirty, which made it unpleasant to sit there. One of the waiters also dropped a spoon on my friend, unfortunately. On a positive note, I appreciated that the waiters spoke English, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was good.

Came here because a YouTuber said it was one of the best paella restaurants in Barcelona. We came in without a reservation and were seated next to the door which didn’t bother us. The starter was delicious, not overcooked seafood and crispy clean batter. We had paella as a main. I’ve had multiple Paellas before in Barcelona , this sadly was not the tastiest. While the rice was undercooked and still hard the squid was overcooked and chewy. We ate half of it and asked for the bill, while also explaining to the waiter why we didn’t enjoy the paella. I would’ve loved if he said sorry I will pass the feedback to the kitchen , but he didn’t say anything and left. We paid around 80€ and also gave tips for the friendly service, but we will not be recommending this place and won’t be returning for a second time.

Octopus had great texture and the scallops were excellent. The steak paella lacked flavor in our opinion but the other noodle thing was pretty good with iberico ham.

Great quality food, generous portions and relatively quick service, considering we ordered paella. The bruleed oranges were a highlight!!! Would definitely visit again and would recommend.

I ordered the chicken paella, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The dish was overcooked and had a burnt taste, which made it quite unpleasant to eat. At €25 per person, I expected a much higher quality meal. Overall, not good value for money.

The food and the service was phenomenal. The staff were very kind and super friendly. The paella is out of this world. The flavor and the smell is unforgettable. Plus, I loved their sangría (tinto de verano), very sweet and sour which went well among the other foods. I highly recommend finishing the meal woth their dessert crema catalana. Definitely worth visiting.
