Went in for lunch on a Friday, we ordered the wet green asada burritos and they were so delicious!! We also tried the Paloma cocktails which were so yummy and a good amount of alcohol! The michis were also tasty. The chef and our server Steven were super sweet, kind and attentive. They really made our experience even better! We will definitely be back 😊

Great made to order food with big portions. A little pricy.

Decide to stop and try this gem of a place. The pics on google maps definitely caught my eye😅 The pics don’t do justice. We decide to try the Land and sea molcajete for two people. The molcajete was packed with chicken, asada, shrimp n chorizo. It also came with rice and been super delicious! The Paloma we order was also delicious and strong🔥💣 Don’t walk run to this gem and try out their food!

I took my wife here to eat for the first time and I have to say the place is a little small but the food was great and the service was really good. The guy was very helpful on food topic and on Thursday they have buy one beer and get one free special.

Such great food! The chille rellenos plate was soo good. They're currently locking the door so just knock and wait to be let in.

1st time in this location 😌. Service was good, food was good prices reasonable. Always willing to try new locations. Parking available in the back also.😁

You can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant based off their chips and salsa. Their salsa was no basic rojo or verde salsa. It was perfect: not too spicy but just enough kick to keep me wanting to dip my chips for more. My wife, our 8 month old babygirl, and I felt welcomed by the owner. He provided great service and was very attentive. We ordered the Tinga taquitos and the trio taco platter. The tinga had a lot of flavor as well as the asada from the trio tacos. We came hungry and left very satisfied. We will definitely be coming to try out their breakfast menu.

I tried their aguachile tostada and I can tell you it was delicious! We also ordered their mole and shrimp with their house sauce. It was not busy when we got there. The gentle men that was there was very polite and very attentive. The restaurant is very clean and nice to be honest. They do have limited parking in the back. (There is also street parking)

I ordered a burrito, it came out to $13, I don't mind paying for quality when it comes to food but the quality here was missing. The burrito was small, barely had any meat in it and it was salty to top it off. Hands down don't recommended this spot. Service was fine, I ordered quick and easy but the food was wack. I thought for $13 it would at least have ranchera meat, nah it didn't.

The food was delicious. I had the menudo and tostada mixta. The Service was 10/10 they were all so attentive. We will definitely be back soon!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. People are nice and good service. Food is so tasty but wish they serve octopus because it's my favorite dish in Mexican food. Will definitely visit there frequently.

Cute spot. Looks like it's been updated which is nice. Parking isn't the best because it's on the busy street. Very clean. I got 2 free mimosas for Mother's Day! We got the shrimp tacos and chili verde burrito. Tacos were good. There was a spice that gave it a nice kick. The burrito was literally a stuffed pepper with beans and rice. Never seen that before. We got chips n salsa- that salsa was I'd go back when I'm in MTB

First timer at La Paloma Grill. I've passed by many times and I finally decided to grab breakfast with my aunt for her birthday. I was pleasently surprised. The portions are great and the prices are even better. I was blown away with how fresh their aguachiles are. I definitely will be coming back just for the aguachiles appetizer. Briana was my server and she was so attentive and sweet. The music is also good but not too loud so you're able to have a conversation with whoever you're with. Also, their tap water is amazing. They have a good water filter.

Rick and Brianna were absolutely amazing!!! Rick has this new special sweet and salty savory way of preparing the Micheladas (10/10 100000%) and Brianna was just a sweetheart all around!!! I ordered the Hot & Juicy shrimp....IT WAS perfect!!! Thank you both for making my solo Sunday Funday a great with one all of the best flavors!

Food was on point.. Service even better! The drinks were perfectly stiff just how you need them. 10 outta 10!! Rick was an amazing hostess!

My and my roommate's, caretaker, first time here! We were not dissasisfied! I had their Taco Trio dorado. (Fried taco shell.) My roommate had their wet chicken burrito. They also serve complimentary, chips with a mild cheese chili sauce, very mild. All was great! The chips and sauce, my tacos, and my roommate's burrito! The price is just right!

Best Menudo I've Ever Bought! Aside from my family's menudo, this is the best I've had. The only thing they're missing is the tortillas hechas a mano. Also wish their take out portion was as big as the dine in portion. They still get 5 stars in my book. They're chilaquiles are delicious. Both the green and red. I've seen other reviews complaining about bad service. NEVER! I've been here a few times and they've always made me feel welcomed. Yes, they might be short staffed. But, nowadays everyone is short staffed. The great service makes up for waiting just a bit longer.

The Pozole & strawberry lemonade was great. Service from Brianna was amazing. The decoration inside was very beautiful. My Overall experience was perfect.

As a Mexican, it was honestly the best molcajete I've had, must try. The service was great, always checking in which I really appreciate. The micheladas are REALLY tasty. Overall, It was amazing I'm definitely coming back, new favorite spot to eat!

My fiancé and I love the La Paloma Grill! We are Fajita people so we come for the steamy hot fajitas! It tastes sooo good! This place isn't open all the time but when it is try it out!

Comfortable and clean restaurant to enjoy an affordable well flavored meal, the service was heart warming and very welcoming would highly recommend brining your girl over here.

Other items at our table caldo de res with rice in the side, generous size Carne asada burrito Service was great restaurant was modern deco. Booth or table choices! Palomas were perfect! We'll be back!

Came to have a breakfast with my dad and had the best Mexican breakfast! Not only was the chilaquiles amazing but the ceviche was delicious. We are definitely coming back to try more plates. I would recommended coming with an empty stomach !

Came here specifically for their agua chile after having visited a few years back and it did not disappoint. This is hands down THE BEST agua chile I have ever had. Their agua chile is on the appetizer section of their menu, but is super filling for one person and comes with delicious tostadas on the side. I asked for it super spicy and our awesome server made it happen, bringing an extra spicy side of salsa that the kitchen whipped up. My husband ordered their chile relleno plate and it was so good. Our server was attentive and super down to earth, offering to bring a side of mayo to add to the tostadas. So good! Overall, a great dining experience. Definitely coming back to have their breakfast.

I went to this place to eat here this past Saturday night & I will never return. I have been here multiple times in the past, but after this Saturday night, no mas! We ordered an appetizer of aguachiles and queso fundido & both portions were very small as to where in the past they were decent size. We had to ask several times for the chips & salsa and she also forgot to order my carne en su jugo and by the time that she remembered she told me that since it was almost closing time that it would take around 45 minutes. I totally get that everything has gone up, but the ridiculously small portions and bad service make it very easy for me to never return.

Right when you walk in you're greeted and seated by the owner. He's personable and makes you feel comfortable off the bat! The food is fresh and authentic. The drinks, flavorful while still tasing the liquor. Great energy & service. Music playing makes the visit fun! Come for a good time and good food.

Happened to be in the area and hadn't had lunch so googled mexican restaurants in the area and this one popped up. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and it was ok (too much meat for my tastes). Definitely not worth 11.95. BFF ordered chicken mole and he automatically thought it would be white meat (got a thigh and a drumstick). His plate came with rice and beans and he didn't care for it. Chips and some spicy salsa are served complimentary and the salsa was pretty good. He ordered the mango margarita with a Tajin rim (on the rocks not frozen) and I had a regular margarita (stated as lemon on the menu). Both were tasty. Total bill was 48 bucks for the both of us which was not a good value for the amount of food we got. Service was good though but there were only three tables occupied including us.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! Never fails!!The food is always great and satisfying!! There are many options to choose from one of my favorites are the enchiladas!! Excellent service

Ordered garlic shrimp and a Mojara ir was delicious. The place was super clean the music playing was great! I also ordered a shrimp cocktail it was super good definitely going to come here more often and we recieved rbe food pretty fast

We were very hungry and drove by this place and decided to give it a try. Slow slow slow service despite the place being empty. Waitress got my order wrong but I ate my food because I was so hungry after they took so long to make our burritos. We were brought stale chips and FROZEN salsa in a tiny cup, yup FROZEN they didn't even thaw it out. Burritos were plain and overpriced. Cost us 28 and change for two mediocre burritos. Never refilled our water cups. Won't be back.

We were looking for a good authentic mexican restaurant, came across this. Everything was on point....great music, clean, well stocked at the table with napkins and hot sauces. I always judge a Mexican restaurant with their chips and salsa...if this is good, the food will be good. Chips and salsa was good...enough acid salt and oregano. Ordered michelada...that was tasty. Ordered guacamole....another point, had cotija cheese on top and just enough seasoning. I had the Chile Colorado and fiancé had wet burrito with carne asada. Both were delish and tasted like someone's grandma was in the kitchen making my meal. So authentic. Asked for spicy salsa...la Diabla salsa and a salsa de aceite, both were spicy. La diabla flavor was awesome. I want to come back to try that on camarones. Service was great as well with good music. Definitely will be back!

I was randomly browsing through restaurants in the area and I discovered an interesting dish called molcajete. I'd never had molcajete before, and I've only eaten cactus once ever. I searched for various restaurants that serve molcajete in the area, and I decided to go to this restaurant in Montebello. It's a small, cozy hole in the wall restaurant, with ample distancing between tables for safety. They have complimentary nachos with salsa, and on Saturdays they have a special deal for 2 mimosas for the price of one, which we ordered. I ordered the land and sea molcajete for one to share with my wife, with the intent of ordering more dishes if that dish alone was not enough. The portion size, even for one, was quite generous. We loved the nopal, and it was quite buttery and delicious. The jalapenos added a kick without being overpowering. The steak, chorizo, chicken, and giant pieces of shrimp were all amazing. It also went great with the mimosas. Service was friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. Probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.

Stopped by for breakfast again! They didn't have the costa Azul so that means we'll have to stop by again to try that out. Great food & great atmosphere!

I've gotten their Camarones a la Diabla plenty of times but today was a huge disappointment. The oil was everywhere.

We recently had La Paloma Grill cater our reception for my fathers funeral services and there service was nothing but amazing.All the food was delicious and there delivery was punctual even with the rainy weather and distance.Rick was wonderful with communication and his ability to answer all the question we had prior to our reception was outstanding.We had visited his restaurant once before and new immediately that we wanted to share there delicious cuisine with our friends and family on such a difficult day.There chicken mole and chile verde where so good as where the enchiladas.Everything was perfect!Thank you again Rick!

I saw this place walking by and honestly the food was amazing, I came with my wife and my kids they were so nice to with great service. They made us feel at home and I really enjoyed my time. Food and drinks are so good I got the chicken enchiladas and the plate was prepared really nice was so good. Wife got the pozole and it did not disappoint. And don't get me started on the desert the ice cream with churros hit the spot after an amazing meal with drinks. I recommend 100%.

I had the pleasure of going here with a friend today. The tres tacos were delicious. The chicken was soft and savory and the asada was just as savory. Service was good, she could speak both Spanish and English and was always helpful and communicative. The restrooms were clean as well as the whole restaurant. The restaurant was quant and comfortable seats. Overall my experience was great

Met up with friends for lunch at Paloma Grill and the food was amazing... I ordered ceviche de camaron negro with a side of wine. , My mouth is watering as I'm writing this. Service was very hospitable and friendly. I definitely recommend it and can't wait to go back.

food is good, asada is fire super good & drinks are affordable & strong so come get ur drink on if your tryna catch a buzz. all their mixed drinks are good id recommend the pepino marg! cheers boyyyyy

The place is great. The food is amazing. My family and I went to this place a couple of years ago and their molcajete was 5-5. The ambient is your typical restaurant. The staff their are nice and friendly not sassy or bossy nor rude or mean. I recommend this place if you live near Montebello.

A hidden gem! Found this place on yelp right by my job and thought I gave it a try. Ordered the Caldo de Res and it was perfect! Had lots of flavor along with all the fixings. Couldn't pass up ordering a paloma so I did and it was delicious! Service was great by Richard so will definitely be back to try out more items off the menu.

Best Mexican restaurant in Whittier. And it wasn't because I was starving. A beautiful wet asada burrito was huge and immensely delicious. Yup i ate the whole thing like a happy little piggy. My friend got the caldo de res dish. He said that he really enjoyed his soup and would definitely get it again. Didn't mind the wait since the quality of the food was appetizing and flavorable. Love the modern design of the interior that definitely gives a great first impression. And of course one mustn't leave out the fantastic service. Definitely will return if I'm in the area

The food was quite outstanding. Very delicious, elevated Mexican / El Salvadorian cuisine. Very very clean restaurant. Excellent ingredients and taste. I had the Tues special (3 tacos for $7.50, normally $8.95). - The portions were generous - Meat and filling amounts were plentiful - Chicken tasted the best, mushroom cheese was great too - The beef was a little chewy, not my fave - Asked for more pico de gallo, it also was delish I didn't know what kind of agua fresca I wanted to order and asked for a taste. - Got the lemonade and jamaica - Jamaica was the best - Refills are an extra $.75 but so worth it Also ordered their plantains for $3.50. - I thought it was going to be just the fried bananas - They brought out a beautiful presentation with Mexican crema in the center and condensed milk for dipping - I have never had it that way - THE BEST experience and taste for plantains in my life! Their free salsa and chips are so great! - Salsa was so good had to get a refill Service is solid, kind. I got everything I needed. The one minor element was the drinking water. Tasted like TAP water not filtered. Oh well. Other than that, a wonderful experience overall.

I had a great dining experience here at La Paloma Grill. The staff went above and beyond, they even went as far as to fill our accommodations at every turn. I'd recommend this location to anyone looking for great food with a great atmosphere.

I like the idea of writing a sentence from my 50-something self in the 2020s to shock and tantalize my 20-something self in the 1980s, so here goes: "I took my car to the Chevy dealer for service, and the software update was taking so long to download that I had to go somewhere to grab some lunch." I strolled over to La Paloma and from the enticing menu I selected the gobierno tacos. The menu says these cheesy shrimp tacos come with a choice of beans, white rice, or potato, but the waitress didn't ask me for my selection and it came with white rice and potato as well as a small salad. (She was super nice to let me order off the lunch menu though, since it wasn't even 11:00 yet)) Oh! the tacos were so delicious! I will definitely come here again next time I come to Montebello for car service!

A great authentic Mexican place with a more modern look. My in-laws had the menudo and really liked it. I had the huevos rancheros and also thought the salsa and eggs were done just right. This place is consistent and reliable for a good Mexican dish. Wait times... They seem to not have many customers which I really don't understand! There's no wait times. Parking... haven't had an issue. I can usually find parking right in front.
