La Palombe Kensington

We visited for a late lunch Saturday afternoon and had the set menu. The food is excellent, quality ingredients, interesting combinations, carefully prepared and thoughtfully presented. The Parmesan brioche was delicious. The wine was lovely also. It was busy, a booking is definitely recommended. Atmosphere is cosy and intimate.

Toooo good ! What a treat! Went here for our 5th anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! The service was amazing and so friendly. They personalised the menus for us which was a really nice touch. Food was insane (deffo go for the duck starter)! Then they gave us some madeleines as an extra and the chef brought them out. All the little details made the evening so special. Deffo recommend.

Don't have enough good things to say about this place, the food, the team, the atmosphere. I had my birthday here and I can't imagine going anywhere else where literally everyone (with a lot of foodies) couldn't stop having about the food, combined with being so very well looked after by James and his outstanding team. Every dish was perfection, great wines, outstanding service and wonderful people. Thank you for making my birthday so special Palombe. I hope I've helped send a few more loyal customers your way :). I was having too much fun to take pictures of the delicious food on my birthday, but have plenty from our anniversary we also chose to celebrate here!

This is my second time having dinner here and never failed me. The whole atmosphere from start to finish was perfect. The food was amazing as before. Will visit again for sure! Just to say that I had beef tartare last night and I am perfectly fine. It was delicious!

Amazing French food in a lovely brasserie setting! We’ve probably eaten here 5-6 times since discovering La Palombe a year ago and the food has always been beautifully prepared every time. The venison croquettes and octopus are favourites, as are the venison and chicken ballotine. Warm and friendly service as well!

Our group dined here for a birthday last week & had a great experience. I wanted to select a restaurant that matches Michelin level cooking in a homely setting and La Palombe was exactly that - come a week later I am proud to see they have earned their place in the 2025 Michelin Guide. The dishes are all delicious and craft fully plated, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Chef James is also really lovely and even checked in with our table to see how everything was going. All dishes were delicious, but I would say the standouts were the grilled octopus, aged beef tartare & noisette venison. I would definitely come back here, though I imagine reservations may be harder to get now. Congrats La Palombe team, well deserved!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I’m sure this isn’t my first review, and it certainly won’t be my last. They update the menu quite often, but every dish I’ve tried has been excellent. It’s become my favourite restaurant in London. The prices feel very reasonable, especially given the quality of both the service and the food — well deserved.

Not enough superlatives to give to La Palombe! 40 happy years living just down the road and we have been waiting for a neighbourhood restaurant that delivers on incredible food and a personable and friendly service from the front of house team and Le Chef!
