The 12 Best Argentine Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"Don’t be put off by La Patagonia’s strip mall exterior; this Argentine restaurant is a hidden gem. Start with appetizers like the bubbly provoleta or shrimp in butter garlic sauce, then move on to the grilled skirt steak, corvina bathed in lemon and capers sauce, or decadent crab ravioli. The namesake sandwich, made with grilled flap meat on herb focaccia bread, is also worth a try. Save room for dessert, as the Nutella crepes and chocolate souffle shouldn’t be missed." - Juliana Accioly

La Patagonia Argentinian Restaurant** is a gem in Miami! The parrillada was absolutely delicious, with every cut of meat cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight was not just the food, though—the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Whether you're a fan of Argentinian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be coming back!

We recently dined at Patagonia, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food is delicious. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

Google
What an amazing meal! Our first meal in Miami, and the bar has been set high! The Pollo Santa Cruz dish is probably the best chicken dish I’ve had in any restaurant. The staff are wonderfully enthusiastic and the low-key atmosphere helped us enjoy a great meal!

Google
Stayed at the nearby airport Hilton and wanted a steak for dinner. This place looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the street but the food is fantastic and the service is attentive! The entraña was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It was so good, in fact, that I ordered another to go for my breakfast the next day! Very nice cappuccino for dessert. I’ll def be back when passing through Miami again!

Google
Great food, great people. The location is not typical restaurant but don’t let that change your mind. Meat is so tender great flavor. When we are back in Maimi we will be back.

Google
I placed an order to take out. I love how this restaurant it's consistent with the flavor and quality. I order the Steak with Risotto. Simple delicious, the meat was perfectly cook. Friendly server and I was really happy to find parking. The also gave me a discount. Thank you so much.! Definitely can't wait to come back.

Google
I was impressed with the portions they provided. I tried something I haven’t tried before fish with raisins in a brandy sauce. It was very good, the raisins and fish soaked up the flavor. And the mash potatoes! We were going to get two salads, glad our hostess said that they were big salads, because we were stuffed after everything was eaten. Ask for the balsamic on the side though, it looked like they were over generous with it.

Google
I have tried Caribbean food many times. One night, I chose random this restaurant because I would like to try Argentina's food. I chose Filet Mignon steak, which I saw $32 in the menu, and then my friend chose strip steak ($24). The waitress didn't ask me how well I want my steak to be cooked. When she gave me the worst steak I have eaten. The first bite is well done, and then it turn to rare after every piece I cut. At the last piece, the color is not red of meat. It's purple of old meat. It's taste feel like nothing, so I thought I'm not an Argentina guy, so that dish not belong to me. This review may not be written if the waitress didn't double price my dishes. Instead of ~$60 as they should be, I saw $110, and then after that they said they give me a special off (50%). So ridiculous!

Yelp
Best Milanesa in the city! The restaurant is a hole in the wall in a sketchy strip mall but the food is magical and magnificent.

Yelp
We went with the kids. The meat, bife de chorizo was ok. The extra side of rice for the kids was $8!!! Unbelievable ... We thought was a mistake in the check, but not! We went there some many times, the food was always ok with a good prices... but with this kind of actitud in put $8 in a white rice side .. invited us to not come back

Yelp
My stepmom wanted a steak and I wanted to try something different. Did some research and good this spot. I was happy to see that it was a family run business with a loyal crowd. We were seated and provided amazing service. We started with the Bruschetta and were also given bread with a pesto sauces. I didn't go sit the bread as it was on the softer side. The bruschetta was flavorful, but the bread was very soft so care had to be taken when picking them up. Our food came out and it was fresh. The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, and a good size. The mash potatoes paired nicely and we had an amazing meal. My dad also loved the salmon and all is all we had a great time. If you want to try something different when looking for a steak, stop on by.

Yelp
Reflecting on a recent visit to an Argentinian restaurant I used to frequent five years ago, my anticipation for a good steak was met with disappointment. Opting for the parrilla for two, I expected a flavorful feast but found the portion, while generous, lacking in taste. The sweetbreads were notably dry, the sausage unremarkable, and the steak, despite its size, was tough and underwhelming in flavor. Accompanied by an oversized serving of fries, the meal's saving grace in quantity could not compensate for its quality shortcomings. Adding to the experience, the service left much to be desired. With the restaurant hosting only three tables at around 2:30 in the afternoon, the staff's unfriendly demeanor did little to uplift the lackluster dining experience.

Yelp
This low key spot hidden off the south side of NW 7 St was a perfect lunch spot when in meetings in the Flagami area. Drive fast and you'll miss a dimly lit oasis of good churrasco, and grilled chicken. It looks to be a family owned restaurant instead of a chain place. Having partook only in the daytime, I've savored everything from a clean large grilled grilled chicken breast on a yummy lemon seasoning over a bed of fresh lettuce, romaine and full tomato slices. Add a little balsamic to the greens and chicken. Hungrier and ready to try one of the wonders of Argentinian cuisine? Enjoy their entraña / churrasco. This honored moo takes up a significant portion of plate real estate over the aforementioned fresh greens. It has a delicious straight off the grill flavor and none of the grease to knock you out during meetings! Their chicken sandwiches are just as yummy if you want something lighter. Needing an extra boost to stay awake after lunch? Order their double espresso where you get straight espresso / Cuban coffee in a full cafe con leche cup. They also have some yummy looking desserts on the menu I'd come back to dinner for!

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. We had the cream of vegetables soup, morcilla(blood sausage), pollo piccata, milanesa with cheese and onions. Everything was done excellent. The service was awesome and the ambiance is very good. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
A hidden gem! We randomly tried this place out when my sister in law and family were in town. They are located in a small strip mall with limited parking. Once we arrived they told us all food was 50%!! What a steal! I wasn't sure if this was a temporary promotion but we were all about it and ordered a couple parrilladas, sides and salads! Everything was so good and we loved the morcilla!! We decided to come again recently and we're happy to see they still had that special running! We ordered a bottle of Chianti (not on special), another parrillada and some sides. Again the food didn't disappoint! We will definitely be returning since this place is my husband's favorite restaurant.

Yelp

Yelp
The skirt steak with fries were delicious! The chicken breast stuffed with cheese and spinach 10/10! Great service too! Parking isn't great, but worth it! The dulce de leche crepes were fresh and so good! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Brennan K.

Yelp
Great staff and great classic Argentine food. The skirt steak is my go to and I always ask for chimichurri to put on top. The sides are huge, the steak is huge, and they are running a 50% off food promo which can't be beat. A must go!

Yelp
Food quality is good. Service is a bit slow. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Groupon strikes again! I saw a deal for a traditional Argentinan Parrillada experience. That's supposed to include a beef platter for two with two side dishes included. The pricing was right so I jumped on it. This place sits in the middle of a strip mall with extra tight parking and not many parking spots. I saw a sign that stated parking was in the rear. I opted for that, and unless you are not afraid of semi dark alley ways, you should probably park up front. I went through the back door and went into the kitchen! The place is small! The wife wanted to try their fried calamari, so I added the zucchini and calamari appetizer to the order. The appetizer came out fresh and hot! I tasted seasoning! This is a good first impression. Both items were lightly breaded and tasty. They brought fresh bread with butter and an olive oil - basil mixture...yummy as well. The beef platter looks little, but it has substance to it. There was a grilled chicken breast on top of skirt steak, short ribs, flap meat, sausage, blood sausage, and sweet bread. I found it odd they would put sweet bread on a meat skillet and was informed that I was mistaken. Sweet bread was the glands from the cow cooked up. They know what they are doing with that skillet. Everything had seasoning. This is not cooked for the masses so you have to put seasoning on your food afterwards eating. They seasoned this food before hand and served it deliciously to you. I opted to go completely healthy and get grilled veggies. They asked if you want the veggies drizzled with olive oil, which I agreed. Overall, this is a very busy place for a small restaurant. There was a mixture of races and ethnicities dining, which is always a good sign for an eatery. Staff was attentive but not a nuisance. Decent pricing overall. This is a family feeling restaurant because music was blaring, with televisions playing and everyone was yelling speaking to each other. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I would try them again.

Yelp
I went for a lunch and food was ok however for an Argentinian restaurant the parrilla was missing . Service was professional and very friendly

Yelp
Great meals! Little place all worth it! Wait staff outstanding! We are regulars here, before COVID. You will not regret there meals main courses are perfects! Since COVID take out will not disappoint you either. Appetizers Excellent! Beef empanadas, Provoleta, Bife De Chorizo, Tomato & mozzarella, beef carpaccio all excellent! You will not regret. Main courses: Chicken Milanesa, Filet Mignon with risotto perfect! and $ out of this world. Pollo Santa Cruz, Skirt Steak and there Chimichurri excellent! Dessert only 1 do we recommend are the crepes of dulce de leche! Delicious! This is a place by far a great choice. Price $$ at the most. A large party will not brake your bank and very satisfied with there meals. Casual attire is fine. ENJOY!!! We base our comparases to each restaurant from our worldly travels and vast experience of different cuisines.

Yelp
We LOVE La Patagonia it is our go to for date night! Only thing we dislike is that if we arrive a bit late (9pm) their kitchen closes and sometimes the waitress doesn't tell you and you can't order dessert or anything else. Other than that this restaurant is great.
google avatar

Suzanna E.

Yelp
I absolutely positively love their homemade linguini with salmon arribiata! It's not on their menu. You have to request it. I also thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of Malbec and creme brulee for dessert with hot tea. Vale la pena!
google avatar

Andrea Z.

Yelp
This place always hits the spot. But this last time they all did their selves with their meat. We had it cooked medium and that's exactly what came out. It was hot sizzling and tender. We always go with it but each other for four people and it comes with four sides. It always keeps us very full and sometimes there's even leftovers.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great meal here on way to a cruise vacation. Great asado and quilmes! Kids loved the milanesa and fettuccini.

Richene P.

Yelp
So unbelievably delicious - wish this was in our home town! Everything was quality and packed with flavor as well as perfectly prepared and presented ! Our the servers were nice and friendly and helpful. Our only regret is that we couldn't bring a doggie bag home because we were staying at a hotel.

Yelp
Delicious always ! Tried the Pollo Santa Cruz ! Very nice creamy and potatoes. The parrillada it's plenty more than enough for 3 people ! The salads are fresh . Love the fries big portion ! I always get the soup of the day usually cream of veggies. Everything it's delicious here , excellent service . And prices are the best in the area . They have 50 percent off the total bill .

Yelp
Service: spectacular. The waiter was attentive, gave us wine pairing and dessert recommendations. Food: We had the parrillada for two: Skirt steak, short ribs, flap meat, sausage, blood sausage and sweetbreads. the short ribs and skirt steak were so delicious I couldn't decide which one to eat, the sweetbreads were so good.. with rice. The ambiance: it's both chill, romantic, casual and if you want you can dress up- very versatile, but it's a Argentinean thing.. a culture of elegance, and pleasantly friendly.

Yelp
The blood sausage (morcilla) is super tasty and my new favorite in town! Make sure to go during happy hour.
google avatar

Sunny B.

Yelp
The food is stellar and they always have great service, it's a quiet and cozy hole-in-the-wall restaurant and family owned. My father and I have dinner here once a month, it's our favorite place to dine together! Between their delicious meats and homemade pastas and soups, you can't go wrong.

Yelp
We came here for a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport Cute place but the waiter with the brown hair had so much attitude she made everything bad she was rude not pleasant& we asked for our check while we were still eatting as we in a rush my husband even told her we had to go the air port she took at least 15 minutes and I swear she was doing it on purpose still never even brought he had to ask another waitress to get to ring up our check honestly she made us miss our flight Cute place but hopefully she has a better attitude next time or u just don't get here as a waiter

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant for many years but today I was so impressed with the one and only waitress. The restaurant was packed and she run from one table to another without missing one detail. I asked her name was Yanay sorry if I misspelled. She was amazing!! She wait tables, give checks, charge people, serve wine bread made the coffee clean tables. AMAZING!!

Yelp
Tried this place on a Friday, for lunch. Service was excellent, and atmosphere was great as well. Food, unfortunately, was so so. I ordered the pollo Santa Cruz, and although the presentation was beautiful and potatoes were perfectly cooked, the dish lacked seasoning in general and was very bland - the chicken was dry too. Overall it was an ok experience. I will try this place again, since service was great and food affordable.

Yelp
I was looking for some good, seat down place near work and came across this place after being recommended by so many colleagues. I finally decided to give it a try. Here is my summary. FOOD Very good price, cheap in terms of price I would say. Quantity is big as well so if you eat light, you probably will share. We order the provoleta and the chorizo as a starter. Perfect size for sharing in small group. Very tasty and juicy. Highly recommend. For main course we had entrana, bife de chorizo and the parrillada. Entrana by far the best but if you never been to an Argentine cuisine, the parrillada comes with a little of every type of cut for only 20 bucks. The bife de chorizo was ok, not as tender as I expected. Definitely great price. Here you definitely pay less for what you get for. AMBIANCE/ DECOR It's a simple restaurant so don't expect having the exuberant and fancy decorations in Brickell. It is simple and humble. SERVICE The ladies working in the restaurant are nice and friendly. No issues there. OVERALL Overall, good experience. If you want to go somewhere with good food and you do not want to spend much or spend hours dressing up, this is a good quick seat down restaurant to go to. Also, the parking is small so if there is no parking at the front, make sure to park at the back.
google avatar

Nancy A.

Yelp
I love this place. The prices are great for the huge portions, the food is fresh and the service is spot on. They have parking up front and are easy to find. Inside its cozy and the menu has all you can think of "Argentine food style" I come at least once a month for the mollejas and the risotto!

Yelp
Although this place not look like much from the outside, it will definitely fill your insides with flavorful good food. The location is close to the Miami International Airport and in a very Hispanic neighborhood. The location is in a very busy street and sometimes a bit hard to turn into. The parking is very limited, I'm not completely sure if they have a back parking option. For starters, the Argentinian empanadas De Carne O Pollo, are always delicious and flavorful. The crispy calamari & zucchini always hit the spot. The fish and steak sandwich are absolutely delicious and come topped with mixed greens. The "Fettuccine Pilcomayo" is served w/ chicken, serrano ham & swiss cheese in creamy cheese sauce. Another delicious pasta is the "Linguini Fruto De Mar" its a fresh pasta w/ squids, clams, shrimps & mussels in a light spicy white wine sauce. Great pasta's that always taste good. I usually always get the parillada along with salad, mashed potatoes, and the potato salad they call "ensalada russia. The parillada comes with Includes: skirt steak, short ribs, flap meat, sausage, blood sausage & sweetbreads. Always my go to with juiciness an flavor.

Yelp
I dined at La Patagonia Argentina during my recent visit to Miami. I knew that I wanted to get a parrillada for myself. Skirt steak, short ribs, flap meat, and sausage for $15.95? What a steal. Well, the times sure are a-changing. The parrillada costs $20.95 now. I still ordered without much further thought. It went from a total steal to a reasonable deal. The food ranged from great to decent. I'm probably just not a fan of blood sausage, but everything else was delicious. I was traveling, and it was a long walk back to the hotel, so I had to eat everything. The family of five next to me looked on in horror, as they split a parrillada among themselves. They must've thought I hadn't eaten in days. Jokes on them, I hadn't eaten since lunch. Service was fine for the most part. One of the servers doesn't speak much English. This, of course, isn't a problem. Most people in Miami probably at least speak Spanglish. Sadly, I asked this server for hot sauce. She pretended like she understood, and then proceeded to ignore me. I don't know why she couldn't have simply told me she didn't understand or asked her coworker who spoke English to help me. I had a good meal at La Patagonia Argentina, and I'd certainly consider dining again if I'm ever near Miami Airport.

Yelp
I tried this place after my fiancé raved about visiting it years ago, he said the food was great and the prices were shockingly low. I was pleasantly surprised how great our experience was! Appetizers-Beef empanada was great, calamari was eh, a little on the rubbery side, but the dipping sauce was amazing, full of flavor! Entrees-The filet mignon was great, risotto was mediocre. My fiancé's dish was all meat, he really enjoyed it. I tried the skirt steak, it was very juicy and cooked to perfection. Dessert-the flan, paired with whip cream and a heaping scoop of carmel, just perfect! This place is a hidden gem! Our server was very friendly and quick, the ambiance was nice and comfortable.

Yelp
I went early on a weekday and had no problem getting a table. I started with a chicken empanada and Caprese salad. They came out quickly and were both good. My main course was the NY strip with mashed potatoes. The beef was delicious and practically covered the whole plate. Very good experience. Great value for steaks.

Yelp
I always say that the restaurant depends a lot of the intentions. Me and my boyfriend was about to meet a couple of your friends and this place was great for us to talk, ( even if we listened a little bit of others people conversations). We all get impressed about how good and cheap it is, one of the most expensive wine of the house was 40$ and was really good... I consider a small restaurant, kind waitress, good food ( not espetacular but great for the price, your opinion depends a lot of what you know around as well) We all gonna came back there again.. A honest opinion about the filé mignon with mushrooms on top and risotto sauce( it's usually my favorite plate): Sauce and mushrooms on top was great, the meat wasn't the best filet mignon ever but good, and the cheese risotto equal good but I have a fat mind I would love it was more creamy, more sauce more melted cheese
google avatar

Jaime L.

Yelp
Amazingly priced, located at an iffy strip mall. Great empanadas, huge salads, excellent pasta dishes and meat, so much meat. Well worth the journey if you are not from the area. Oh, and try to keep a straight face when you realize how inexpensive your feast ended up being.
google avatar

Silvia Chia Yu L.

Yelp
Can you bear that the roaches' wings dropped from the ceiling in your dish and even the waitress showed bad face to you? Terrible restaurant. And I would never go back this restaurant.
google avatar

Barbara F.

Yelp
This place is so cheap!!! I found out about them through Groupon and was honestly not expecting much, but was left with such a great first impression. The place is very authentic Argentinian and the food is very high quality. I've never been to a place where you can eat a good parrillada for only $20 dollars and that includes two sides!!! The parrillada can feed two or three people. Even though I came in with the a Groupon the parrillada is the same price on the regular menu. The restaurant is very comfy and casual. Definitely going back again soon!!! This is a great place to have steak and a little glass of wine for cheap!
google avatar

Alana A.

Yelp
I see the potential but.... I was excited to try this place due to the outstanding reviews. So we ordered a parrillada, WELL done. One cut into the meats and we immediately see they were very, very red -- it was at most, medium. We tried eating it like that but it's not to our liking, so we asked to have it cooked some more to get it well done. It comes back to us in a few quick minutes and it's still very red! Pretty much the same as before. :( The crema catalana was very good -- warm and covered with a perfect crunchy layer. Service was fine as well. But overall it was not the best experience. However, I believe in my fellow yelpers and I'm going to give it another chance. Stay tuned....

Yelp
I was given a gift certificate from Living Social for my birthday and Ioved it. The reasons: - Value - Quality - Outstanding Service LAST PARAGRAPH HAS A KILLER TIP. The service was very warm, we could tell they care for how we were being taken care of. We interacted with at least three members of the restaurant and got great energy from them. Their blood sausage was delicious, I had it with complimentary slices of bread and a deep fried beef empanada. I had have empanadas and their content is authentic but these are deep fried. My pregnant wife was afraid of ordering meat and being bloody so they butterfly cut her filet and she was happy. It was served with mushroom sauce and risotto. I had to eat what she couldn't because it was to good to go to waste. I ordered skirt steak (entraña) in case she needed to bail out of her choice, but we both loved out food. The beer was cold, but perhaps when they bring the second one, they should also bring a new cold glass. This was the only opportunity for improvement I could find. Parking could be an issue, but they have more spots in the rear. I was lucky and got front parking. Someone was leaving as I arrived. An epic value you can get herr and something that cannot be forgotten is 50% off the food items Monday through Friday after 5pm and all day during the weekends. WOW.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
I am so happy I discovered this place. We originally bought the Groupon thinking it was another restaurant, but we were pleased in the outcome of the mistake. We arrived early, so parking wasn't a big deal. However, I could see how this parking lot fills up quickly. The service was outstanding, our waiter was very attentive to us. The decor of the restaurant actually reminds me of many restaurants you will find in Argentina. The food was delicious. The cut of meats presented were cooked well and tasted great. My favorite was the short rib. We also tried the dulce de leche crepe, it was okay. Overall, I would come back here because the meats alone are worth it. Venture out and give this place a try.
google avatar

Kay K.

Yelp
Here's the deal. We came here because a friend recommended it. Couple that with the discovery that food is 50% off on weekends. Almost too good to me true! And it was. I'm puzzled by the high rating in Yelp and all the positive reviews. My friends and I tried 2 different pasta dishes, short ribs, and a sandwich. None were that great. In fact, my friend wanted to throw up after eating his sandwich. He said it was cold and gross. The seafood pasta dish was rubbery and over salted. The salmon pasta dish lacked flavor/depth. Only the short ribs passed the mark because it was cooked exactly how my friend wanted it. Overall a disappointing experience & I would not recommend. The only reason it was acceptable is because of the discount. Otherwise nowhere worth full price. If you want subpar food for 50% off then you can visit this joint. Otherwise stay away.

Yelp
Cozy restaurant with great ambience... I enjoyed the beef empanadas and the New York steak.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Get a parrillada with a risotto and get ready to enjoy a great meal! They have a 50% discount some times, check web page for times of discount.

Yelp

Yelp
Amazing service and even better food . The manager is very attentive and makes sure everything was perfect. I had bought a Groupon and i misread and it was only for dinner. He honored the Groupon and brought everything out super fast. I ordered the eggplant dish that was heaven in the mouth. The morcilla was melting in my mouth. The steak was cooked perfectly, literally it was the most perfect meal .

Yelp
Nondescript location near the airport. Very friendly and fun place serving pretty good Argentinian/Italian food at reasonable prices. Skirt steak is tough but very flavorful. The empanadas are outstanding. And huge salads to balance the meat and pastas. Refills of soft drinks are provided without asking and everyone there from the staff to customers are happy. Happy is alwa

Yelp
I came here because of a Groupon I purchased, which offered a parrillada (grill) for a family of FOUR for $37. My friend and I came here excited to have a feast for four people, since we love steak and other Argentinian meats. We figured we would just take the leftover food home, since it was food for four people, after all. What we got was a grill for TWO people, even though we specifically said we paid for the Groupon for four. The waitress kept insisting that what she served us was a grill for four people. My friend and I ate the entire thing. Yes, a parrillada for four people was somehow eaten by two people. When we looked over, the two people sitting next to us had the same exact dish and when we told the waitress, she once again insisted ours was for four and theirs was for two. We had the same exact amount of steak served to us as the people beside us. Not only were we ripped off, but the meat wasn't even cooked right. The skirt steak did not taste fresh at all. We asked for everything medium rare and it was medium well. To add to this, our waitress got so mad that she never came back to refill our water, ask us if we needed anything else or to give us the check. Instead, she sent another server over to bring the check. Never coming back.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! It was a pleasure to have enjoyed so tasty Argentinean food. I loved it since it is good, nice and cheap ... What more could you want! lol
