La Patrona Bakery - Review - Homestead - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Mexican bakery inHomesteadarms you with a metal tray and tongs to pick from a wide range of pan dulce. Nothing is labeled, so let your eyes and intuition guide you to something soft and sugary to pair with your morning coffee. We love the conchas and the sugar-coated cuernitos. Even if you load the tray with a mountain of bread, it’ll be hard to spend more than $20. And if you keep the brown bag sealed tightly, you can enjoy a breakfast of plush bread for the next week. They also have seasonal baked goods, like roscas de reyes and pan de muerto for Día de Los Muertos." - Mariana Trabanino

While out on a delivery, I stumbled upon La Patrona, a Mexican bakery that instantly drew me in with its incredible aroma. The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with the sweet scent of freshly baked treats and warm smiles from the friendly staff. Their selection is impressive. Everything from soft donuts and rich cakes to fresh bread and traditional cookies. Each item looks like it was made with care and love. You can tell this place takes pride in its baking. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. La Patrona is definitely a spot worth visiting.

I've been to this bakery 2 times since November and I absolutely love their selection of their wide variety of tasty treats. From donuts to cakes, they have it all including a delicious 😋🤤 mouth watering Flan and a yummy 😋🤤 Horchata that you must get a cup minimum. Too bad they're over 45 minutes away otherwise I'll stop by weekly I'm sure but anyone driving near by, this is a must visit spot for sure. Small but full of delish goodies!!!

This food has flavor, is well priced and the staff is always kind and welcoming. I have never had a bad experience here and always look forward to coming here. This is a family friendly, delicious and welcoming bakery. The only bakery in town that I will recommend.

Great selection of bread, I like how they had it organized. It's been a couple of years since I was here and the display, how they have it organized was a great improvement. The breads have great taste.

La Patrona is still one of the best panaderia here. In homestead, no doubt and also try there 3 leche pastel you won't regret it.

Delicious fresh baked Mexican pastries 😍 conchas, maranitos. As a Tejana, I can say the pan dulce here is authentic. The cortaditos (small coffee) were delicious. Highly recommend this stop for travelers to/from the Florida Keys.

Yelp
If you need a concha this is the place to go! They always have them fresh and ready. They also carry all manner of Mexican breads and sweets. Setup like you would find in Mexico. Large round trays and metal tongs. Grab a pair and go crazy! The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly.

Yelp
Small spot but a lot of pastries! We just got a bunch of different ones, the custard in some of the items is delicious! They take credit card and mobile pay.

Yelp
Was really wanting a concha, and this bakery was recommended by a local. One of the best conchas I've ever had. Definitely was freshly made. Also bought a sugar cookie that was also delicious.

Yelp
We are so happy we found this place. Definitely became one of our go too places during the weekend. We come here in the morning to make sure we are able to get one of everything before they sell out. As soon as you walk in you are blown away by the sweet bread smell that's cooking in the oven. Everything is fresh and the service is amazing as well as affordable.

Yelp
FINALLY! I've been on the search with my wife for a while for a good quality concha! I'm originally from New York and over there conchas are taken very seriously. We had tried out several spots already and always seemed to be disappointed. But not here, oh no, the location is small and straight to the point. They are highly strict on their COVID regulations allowing only two customers at a time inside. Which considering the small size is very understandable. Of course, we only had the conchas. We were highly disappointed they only had vanilla and not the pink ones which is why I couldn't give five stars yet. They seemed to have some in the back but I think they export wholesale so they refused to give us one. My cravings were offended, but oh well. We took four of the vanilla ones and went on our way. We were not disappointed! From the size, to the price, to the quality we were blown away. We tried them both warm and cold and decided cold was the way to go. They were fluffy and sweet and God bless them for making me homesick! Still they were one of the best I've ever tried and even though it's far I suggest you make the effort and go anyways! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in the area I have to go here. All their bakery items are so good and fresh. It's always service with a smile too. Their Horchata is perfectly flavored and not sugary sweet

Yelp
Love this place! It has all my favorite Mexican sweet bread that I grew up eating in LA. Everything in this bakery is fresh and wonderful with a cup of cafe con leche. Wish they had another location closer to Miami.

Yelp

Yelp
La patrona Bakery is a little gem hidden in the downtown homestead area. This Mexican quaint bakery offers Rosca de Reyes for those who celebrate after the Holidays welcoming the new year the welcoming of the 3 kings man. Our family lives in kendall and we found this bakery and just their attentiveness over the phone made us not hesitate to drive down and pick up a Rosca. A Rosca is a baked good sort of like sweet bread molded into a crown, the FUN INTERESTING part is that there is a plastic toyed baby hidden inside. The tradition is that whoever cuts a piece of the Rosca and get the baby they will host next years festivity. It's fun and a nice way to engage with the family. The sweetness a delicate es of the Rosca was fascinating. I can't wait for next year!

Yelp
Came here while driving in homestead with a friend and we had never been there before so we weren't aware of how to purchase the baked goods. After seeing others do it we filled our platters with conchas and cake. It was super soft and very tasty definitely coming back again.

Yelp
Small little hole in the wall with inexpensive Mexican goodies. Try the conchas & cream filled donuts. The iced horchata cafe is DELICIOUS. The parking is limited and the pastries are self-serve on a tray.

Yelp
Stopped here before work to get some cuban coffee. This place is small but has a lot of baked goods that were made fresh. People here are mostly Spanish speaking but I was able to get by and they were friendly. Not the cleansest place and ingredients were left out to be seen like eggs. The baked goods were mostly cookies, cake and other pastries. Great place to stop by for a quick breakfast.

Yelp
The actual place even though it's tiny, it has a lot of goodies from Mexico and the prices are amazing! I went to a flea market that had each sweet bread for $1.25 and here I bought a bag of 3 for $2.00! Oh they also accept EBT which is nice for anyone on a budget. The only thing I didn't like is that there were a lot of bums and drunk hanging outside making it a little scary to get off especially since I went at night. ( btw they are open till 10pm ) But that wasn't because of the bakery, it was because there is a liquor store in the same shopping center. Will go back again but in daytime hours.

Yelp
Stop by today all the pastries looked really sweet and delicious but sadly to say I got a pumpkin empanada and it was hard like a rock.

Yelp
I get to the Miami area every once in a while and I always make it La Patrona. It is a great little bakery with lots of great Mexican treats. The Roscon de Reyes and Pan de Muerto is spot on - excelente! I'm a fan of the orejas also. Everyone is super friendly and the prices are great.
