The 26 Best Restaurants In Lima - Lima - The Infatuation

"Time stands still at La Perlita, Ricardo Martins’ taberna. On the walls are photographs, vintage ads, and everyday items like lamps and pots that were part of the lives of many Limeños. The food at La Perlita leaps forward, offering updated versions of the classics. There’s a very well-done cold menu (razor clams, fresh ceviches) and a section of deep, soulful stews, like ají de gallina with crab, olluco with grilled river shrimp, or stuffed caigua served in a chupe. Daily specials might include corn tortilla with a ceviche twist, or old-school desserts like chimbo egg (cake made with whipped egg yolks slowly cooked in syrup and pisco). At night, a pianist inspires dancing as in the old days, infusing the air with lively energy." - paola miglio

La Perlita Stopped in for a quick ceviche fix on the road to many more! Happy to say this place was fantastic. We got the Tiradiro de Pesca del Día "Acamaronado" con Leche de Tigre de Coral, Palra, Aceite de Sésamo & Tucupí. 9.2/10 The fish was so buttery and delicious and the umami of the tomato/tiger milk broth could have been soup on its own! Tiradito de Pesca del Día, con Leche de Tigre Arerciopelada, Palta & Picada de Ají Amarillo. 9.1/10 Very fresh and vibrant, very fatty and herbaceous! Really good start to our ceviche marathon as we travel through Peru.

Absolutely awesome. To me it was easily one of my favorite restaurants in Lima! We had the Tiradito, the grilled Octopus, the Aji Gallina with Bull Crab, the Calamari Cau Cau and the dark chocolate mousse with cherimoya ice cream. Everything was a good portion and tasted super delicious. Also the Pisco sour was one of the best we had in Peru!

La Perlita, the latest venture by Siete’s Chef Ricardo Martínez, is a beautifully made restaurant set in a charming old casona adorned with nice pieces of art. Even the details, like the well designed restroom, add to the ambiance. The Pisco Sour was well-balanced and served in a perfectly sized small glass—something you fet seldom and is ideal for starting the meal. Made with Huamani Pisco, it was well mixed. We also enjoyed a Chablis, which paired wonderfully with the meal. For starters, the Pejerrey was good, though the ceviche wasn’t exactly to my taste, as it was cut into larger chunks than I prefer and even though i had the “reyna” version seemed to acid. However, the Crab Ají de Gallina was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The dessert was also nice, rounding out a satisfying dining experience. They didn’t have espresso for which we went ro Demo near by. Service was warm and attentive, and while the acoustics could be improved, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. I would definitely return.

Good but not great. Good ceviche. Sudado, the fish was salty. The portions could be bigger.

Very cute little restaurant in Barranco, good food especially their tiradito and seco is very nice. It is a bit of a busy vibe, maybe not the best space for a calm meal.

Great little spot for a meal in Barranco. The place is the latest project by a renowned local chef and it shows in the kitchen execution.
