"La Petite Boulangerie has been in the business of making its morning staples for more than 20 years. Whether a visiting local, adventurer, or fanatic, this is one the essential entries on anyone's croissant bucket list." - Heather Vandenengel, JP Karwacki

My relative purchased a pannetone here, and upon arriving home we realized it had been made a month prior and is set to expire in 2 weeks. This is incredibly disappointing and upsetting given that bakeries are supposed to specialize in fresh products. If I wanted a month-old pannetone, I would’ve purchased a boxed one from the grocery store. Upon trying it, I noted that while it was not yet stale, it was definitely not fresh. It’s borderline insulting to customers to be selling month-old bread/cakes. I also had a croissant from here and it was only average, nothing more. On par with what you’d expect from Starbucks or McCafe. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Find somewhere else to buy your pannetone.

La Petite Boulangerie is one of my few preferred bakeries in Montreal and surroundings. Their bread is great, indeed, but I do also go there for their superb cheeses and pastries.

More than simple bakery, this place makes on place "home made" pizzas (vegetarian), pastries, bread,, take home cooked meals, but also offers cheeses and meats (sausage) and refreshing juices. Staff always friendly and looking to be accommodating and friendly.

We've been buying our olive bread from this quaint bakery for years...truly consistant from the quality to their service. Note: if this bread interests you...call first to make sure they still have some. Enjoy.

Tiny place but a lot of choices, they even have cheeses from the Madeleine Islands. Great choices of breads. They also have preapared foods which are really good (NON VEGAN). Very polite and knowledgeable staff. Fast service.

Excellent croissant for the price. Much better than some overpriced french bakeries on Fleury, that serves stale products (ie : Gourmet Privilège)

Purchased a baguette and almond croissants today, the baguette was good but the almond croissants were a major disappointment. There was no filling and had no almond flavour. I was really looking forward to eating these and was really bummed out that they weren't good

For a lunch place, its really great. It's run by a cute asian couple. They are very eager to please and give great service. Theyre always smiling. The food is also good. I worked next to China Town for almost 2 years and this is the only place I have found that can give me the same type of lunch experience. Price is a little bit higher than China town but that is to be expected (you can have lunch for about 10-13$ a person). I personally suggest the cripsy noodles with vegetables and chicken (comes with a soup).

Yelp
Wow! Stumbled across this boulangerie whilst in the area and have to say, I am truly impressed! It is really a hidden gem, if I didn't see people going inside, I would never have known about it. I visited later in the day so most their famous breads and viennoiserie were sold out. The tarts however looked exquisite so I took some to try. Let me tell you, their chocolate tart is out of this world! It is everything I would want in a tart - a harder exterior shell which tastes almost like shortbread and a soft chocolate filling which isn't at all gooey. They also make the perfect Paris Brest which is difficult to come by, the praline cream is just perfection. Couldn't take any pictures this time unfortunately, it was hard to resist and the treats were devoured before I could grab my phone. I think that is a good enough reason to return!!

Yelp
This place is dangerously close to my Pilates studio -- every week I risk undoing all my good work with one little bite. La Petite Boulangerie is an artisinal bakery with top-of-the-line pastries, breads, cheeses, and a variety of prepared dishes which make me drool on each visit. They are one of the bakeries which participated in le jour du croissant -- meaning their croissants are made the real French way with lots of butter and are fresh every day. I don't think I've ever had anything from here that I haven't loved, but my first love is the brioche toast topped with jam, then marzipan. Off today to get a fresh whole wheat miche so that my Thanksgiving turkey can be stuffed with delicious bready goodness.

Yelp
Français après. WOW! Nice staff, super knowledgable. Great variety. Maybe 30 cheeses. maybe 30-40 homemade jelly, spread and company. Homemade paté, foie gras mousse and rilette. Great variety of bread too and I'm not kidding, their bread, their cheese bread is more addictive than Krokodil (which is a by-standard of meth that gets you addicted after 1 time and kills you within a year with skin looking like Krokodil). Fortunatly for us, THEIR BREAD IS THAT GOOD AND DOESN'T HAVE THOSE SIDE EFFECT! YEESSS!!! Took some of their Double Choco bread. Their small and not only it has the effect of reducing your guilt for buying so many carb. They sell Tomme sur le Poele; amazing Chevre. And the new Fromagerie of Charlevoix (Creator of Migneron) Le Secret de Maurice (The Secret of Maurice) a nice strong semi-wash sheep cheese. On the strong side of a kind of Sheep Brie with a strong taste. Pretty darn good with a strong Raisin Bread lightly toasted. On the same note as Le Fouvrac, this places has a causy term to it without serving exceptional artisanal bread. and pretty decent Viennoiserie.
