Google
The tartare, incredible, the octopus and shrimps marvelous, the dessert, memories of Istambul, great. Together with a beautiful restaurant and an always perfect vino Rosso Brunello di Montalcino 2018… highly recommended!!!

Google
The restaurant is just excellent - perfect reading of traditional local cuisine in a modern way! The tartare is incomparable!

Google
Such a good restaurant and nice location. Really like their original food combinations. We will come here again this trip!

Went to the restaurant. Nice atmosphere. But the food was hit and miss. Stay away from the “fusion” Asian dishes, they don’t do it well. Ordered satay chicken with sushi rice. Disappointing. Rice was cold, satay sauce was sourish, chicken was tasteless. The starters fared better, had the Bao with grilled prawns etc. Not understanding why they received a 4.7 rating; feels more like a 4.2.

The food was awesome! The chicken and the rice were especially good. Loved the ambient and the music was also very relaxing. Exactly what I expect from a great, premium Italian restaurant. 1st class. Absolute recommendation for everyone coming to Assisi! 💪🏼🤝

Google
Yes, come here! We had the grilled pork, humus and the strangozzi pasta. Everything was superb! Simple dishes full of flavor. The location is also ideal, steps always from one of the main walking roads in Assisi. We sat under the trees outside the restaurant. It was beautiful and delish!!

Yelp
Such a fun adventure when in quaint Assisi! I got the zucchini flowers and truffle gnocchi and they were both so tasty. It sounds fancy but it's really not too upscale. And cost for both of those plates plus frizzante acqua was $22. I'm from Portland and there's kind of a running joke that things served in mason jars or different vehicles than needed for food is ridiculous, or overdone. They do that here. But they really are just trying to be creative and you can tell the chefs really care and want to create a good experience for you. (Ps dark lighting so hard to get stellar photos of he food, but included)

Yelp
We read a description of Piazzatta as a "hidden gem. " We had a bit of a struggle finding it as it is right next to a wine bar and the only signage we saw was for the wine bar. But we persisted and boy are we glad we did. We arrived on the early side for lunch so got a table on the sunny terrace. Food was amazing and the local wine Assisi Rosso was terrific. The menu was quite interesting as the items on the left were traditional and the items on the right were fusion. My wife and I shared a selection from both sides. Her fusion ravioli were like potstickers with an amazing sauce. My porcini risotto was perfectly done. The wait staff were prompt attentive and polite. We highly recommend having a meal here.

Yelp
I heard that this place was all the rave and it was even suggested that I dine here by a friend who grew up in Asissi. He said it was first rate and that the food was fantastic. My first impression in regards to the service was a little bit disappointing. I sat down alone (which based on Italian Heritage is a no no since-"You should never dine alone"!!) and I get it since I'm Italian!!!- But in this day in age, people do often travel alone for many reasons and we do still have to eat! Having said that 2 tables that sat down before me, got served first. They got water and drinks and I sat waiting for about 15-18 minutes before anyone came out to greet me. That sucked; but after that, all was fine. When a waiter was finally assigned to my table, (which was nicely placed across the narrow, cobblestone road from the restaurant)- with dim lighting coming from the moon, I was happy enough. The food came out fairly quickly, and the it was very good. I had the crispy artichoke, grilled octopus and Cacio e Pepe'. All were very delicious!! I think if I had another person with me, I may have been served faster, but then again, it is Italy.......and to take your time and enjoy is of the utmost importance. I am grateful for the experience and I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Yelp
13 years ago we discovered this place on our honeymoon. We asked for a bottle of their house wine, which we brought home, and tonight we opened the bottle for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the wine stood the test of time and still had good fruit and structure.?Va Bene!!! Thank you for a wonderful memory!!!!

Yelp
Great food and okay service. Quite difficult to get a table it seems. Guess we were lucky. Even though it's next to a road with a little traffic from time to time, I can recommend it for a quick lunch.

Yelp
Wow, amazing food and good house wine. We loved the stuffed zucchini blossoms, the smoked black gnocci, and the lamb. We would have rated dinner as a five except the restaurant was warmer than a pizza oven and we were marinating in our own juices.

Yelp
Decor is awesome; food is amazing; staff speaks fluent English. Off the beaten path just enough you have to look for it.. But definitely look for it.

Yelp
We enjoyed this restaurant so much in our first try that we ate her twice on our visit to Assisi, once for lunch and the second time for dinner. Every dish we ordered was excellent and prepared with lots of care. The presentation of the food is lovely as well. When I asked about modifying one dish to make it vegetarian, the chef offered two options for modifying it - it was such a nice gesture to have these choices. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area as well. Make a reservation to ensure a spot at this restaurant!

Yelp
Excellent food, service, presentation, a memorable experience! We were a group of 10 who showed up with no reservation for lunch. FIVE stars all the way!!!

Yelp
Probably the best food to be had in Assisi if not Italy very small intimate restaurant with excellent staff, and a menu of local delights with fabulous taste. In the summer seated outside, with grand list of local wines to enjoy your meals. Probably worth booking as in the evening will be full. Starters from around 10€ mains around €15 wine from €16 - €35 Have eaten here many times 2012 - 2014 never been disappointed.

Yelp
Very nice find in Assisi. Pasta was awesome and service great. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend Piazzetta Delle Erbe.

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor seating area, handwritten menu, local wine by the glass. Really good spot thats not super touristy like the rest of Assisi. No pictures + handwritten menu = delicious. €20/pp for 2 courses. Go!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for dinner on the recommendation of our host. We were a bit worried because the hand-written menu had no translations. However, our waiter spoke flawless English and explained how several of the items could be modified for my vegetarian husband. He ended up ordering tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and blueberries which he said was out of this world delicious. I had a sort of ravioli that was more like little purses, about 2" high and wide, stuffed with ricotta cheese, topped with bacon, and gently set on a light sauce of sweet red peppers. I don't usually like peppers but this sauce was perfect with the pasta. A second waiter came early on to bring us a free treat-- a little square of pizza- like focaccia, topped with mortadella and accompanied by a fruit drink made with cucumbers, radishes and -we think- currants. So interesting. Our waiter then came by to ask about wine and I do know enough Italian to ask for wine by the glass instead of the bottle, and could he recommend a local white wine? He did and it was perfect- crisp and dry - a Grechetto Spoletino. We shared a salad with field greens, walnuts, strawberries and a balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. So good. This is a delightful find in a quiet area of Assisi, off the main streets and serving a mostly-Italian clientele. We sat at a table outdoors and we were just so happy to be there.

Yelp
We saw the place packed until late when walking during the evening, which is always a good sign. The next day we stopped in for lunch but it was fully reserved. We asked for help finding another osteria that was recommendable and they graciously gave us a tip. Fortunately, as we were outside figuring out our way there, they said they could squeeze us in but our table was needed in two hours. So lucky for us --the place was amazing! Delicious local amuse, fabulous antipasto, primi, and desert (we didn't have a secondi but the ones going to other tables looked terrific). Everyone dining was having a good time (also a good sign) and the servers were super friendly and helpful. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.
