The Best Restaurants in Paris, According to a French Food Expert | Eater

"This corner bistro is outfitted with terrazzo floors, a zinc bar, a pinball machine, sea-green banquettes, newspapers on wooden sticks — all of the tropes of the workaday neighborhood hangout that used to be common in Paris but has been pushed out by higher rents and changing tastes. Le Cornichon offers more than mis en scene, though. There’s simple, affordable, good-quality comfort food by chef Bertrand Chauveau, who cofounded this place with his friend Paul Henri and who previously worked in a string of Paris haute-cuisine kitchens. Dishes not to miss include the hard-boiled egg with tartar sauce, hake with a sauce Basquaise (tomato, onions, and peppers), tournedos Rossini, and frites cooked in beef suet. Located in the 11th Arrondissement. Vibe check: The funky, retro ’70s charm has proven irresistible to the trendy young types who live in Paris’s eastern 11th Arrondissement." - Alexander Lobrano

Nice atmosphere, nice small appetizers and very good prices! The happy hour is a real one! Glass of wine for 3 euros and a spritz for 6! Their appetizers are worth a shot!

- If you are visiting for work or pleasure, this spot is a definite sure deal for a lovely lunch or to grab a drink. The menu is updated regularly and is sure to please. I definitely recommend trying the cocktails! The Ispaham cocktail with notes of rose, lychee and raspberries was dreamy!

A great little bar on a quiet road, staff are very nice, and drinks are well priced, cool interior design and character. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I wish the tasta was better. I liked the cute athmosphere and freshness of the food. The endive salad was really good but frittata was very bad. It was overkooked on the top to be almost burnt and the taste was just not bad.

🍺 A lively bar with local crowd. Ask for your cornichons (pickled cucumbers) along with your drinks.
