La Placita

I got my lunch today from La Placita. The food was super delicious.I had, white rice, beans, pork , and a little salad. The lunch also includes a little soup. They had beef or chicken.I picked chicken soup, perfect for this type of weather. Another thing I like about La Placita, is their extensive bakery line.I had the corn bread, it's shape in the form of a big tart.Delicious. Their guava roll is extremely good also. This place is always extremely clean.I Love to get my meals and bakery items from here . The customer service is outstanding...

Empanadas always fresh of the Day! Delicious and great taste. Made a coffee stop but the empanadas never disappoint. Keep up the great work! And service is always welcoming and smiling

Every day I go to La Placita for coffee and breakfast. It's got great food, excellent service and reasonable prices. Customer Friendly. Homey atmosphere.

Best spot for a quick bite. Always fresh food being served. They have a daily specials display and also you can order from the menu. The soup is incredible here. Easy to park and the tables are sizeable. I've been going to this spot for over a decade. I've never been disappointed. You'll love it. There's even a clean bathroom.

I Love this restaurant. The staff is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The pastry is fresh and delicious. The place isn’t big but, it’s well organized and very clean.

They have an excellent Lentil soup on Thursdays. Their Chicharron is the best in Bergen County.

No frills place with counter/stool seating and a small dining area. Shared a yummy empanada and a pan de bono for $3.50 total. The empanadas are quite popular and at 10a on a Saturday they were putting out another freshly made batch. They also have pupusas on the menu (appears to be a limited item) which I was curious about. There are a couple of Colombian bakeries in Bergenfield, and I would definitely return to this one if in the area. Good selection and they seem to have loyal patrons.

Great food and the holiday Pork rice, wrapped in its pork skin is something you would definitely want to bring to your nxt Christmas/NYE event. Your welcome!

I ordered catering of Empanadas, Bunuelos, and Pan de Bono. Everything came out really great. The Bunuelos were a hit. The Empanadas could've used a little more meat in them. They are stuffed more with potatoes. I also love Aji. Their Aji is a little more watery, I like mine a little more chunky. Their prices did go up 25 cents each so they are not $1.00 each anymore. I will be back again!

I've come here several times. I get the same thing every time so I feel I can't give it a 5 star rating until I have some more items on the menu. I get the chicken or beef soup. Both are very flavorful Columbian style soup. Then I get the beef empanadas,also very tasty. My daughter picked out some type of merange ball and she loved it. I get two large soups with rice and 2 empanadas and the bill is about $18 . A pretty good price for a good lunch. They have so much more food than soup though. I always see chicken,oxtail,pork stew, and different Spanish style dishes. I'll def try something new one of these days. The women who work there have always been very nice to me and explain what each food is even though my Spanish is not very good. Come check it out,not many Spanish places in bergenfield.

This place has really tasty empanadas For the banging price of just $1 each, I'm Originally from Rutherford and would go to Passaic for my Colombian empanadas. I am so glad I found La Placita to get my empanadas fix, they have a bunch of other Colombian platters as well. There's morning and lunch rush So get there a little bit early.

One of my favorite Spanish place to get authentic pandebono and bandejas. I'm not Spanish and yet I enjoy their foods so much. Their pastry and their caramel filled Donut is heavenly and to think their infront of the church makes it more close to heaven. A must try to visit to anyone who comes to Bergenfield, cheap and high quality food!!!!!

I don't speak Spanish so it was a little hard to communicate but they all were so patient and helping me learn their language! They have the best salsa I've ever had in my life and I recommend this place to everyone! So amazing, great choices on food and great people!!!!!!

My family and I are new to the neighborhood and were really excited to see a spanish restaurant near by. Unfortunately we were severally disappointed. Service was horrible and the food was just as bad. The food had no flavor. My husband ordered chicken stew and it looked like boiled chicken with ketchup. My steak was greasy and in need of salt. Sorry will not be going back.

Understaffed; horrible service; poor listening skills when taking orders. We have been here 4 or 5 times. Every time without fail they forget to pack something after charging. Today I wrote down what I wanted and still they cannot seem to get it right. The icing on the cake was how they dismiss you when I asked for a manager. Completed disgusted how they handled todays situation.

I come here 3x a week for delicious Colombian Coffee and pandebono every morning. The staff is really nice, helpful, and authentic.
