Amazing and beautiful food! Our server was super sweet and very helpful. I have food allergies and she answered all of my questions. I had the brisket tacos. They were flavorful and full of great textures. My boyfriend had the prawns which were juicy and great flavor also. The chips, salsa and guacamole are also delicious. The chips were thick, crunchy with just the right amount of salt.

Google
Really enjoyed the food and drink. Would definitely come back! I had the enchiladas with beef, one with green and one with red sauce, both were delicious! The server was very nice, I have kids so sometimes they get a little bothered but he was very kind.

I’m going to this place a solid five stars, based on the food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing with that old town Sante Fe vibe. We came for breakfast and would highly recommend the blueberry pancakes, probably the best we ever had. Definitely a big enough portion to share! Brenda was a great waitress, anticipating our needs.

Google
Beautiful place with outstanding service! I came here with my family for a dinner during our trip to Santa Fe, and this was one of our highlights from the trip. Our server was Tamara, and she truly went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. She even recommended local attractions we should visit and made us feel that warm New Mexico welcome. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. Everything we ate was delicious and they had good vegan options too. My favorite thing was the flan. I also recommend getting the table side guacamole.

Ways to reservation system to book a table here in advance. Given this is a popular place inside the hotel la Fonda I would highly recommend doing this. We arrived a few minutes early and our table was already ready for us. Service was excellent and quick. They paid attention to detail and stayed up on water glasses and other needs for the table. Great menu with a lot of local New Mexican dishes. Food was flavorful with quality ingredients. Tableside guacamole was delicious! We very much enjoyed our experience here and would highly recommend eating here at least once. In addition the hotel itself is a museum of artwork please make sure you take the time to walk around and look at everything on the walls there is a lot to see and read about a feature a lot of local artists and it's worth reading and taking the time to see everything.

Google
Had the tortilla soup, was ok as well as the guacamole. The lobster bisque was amazing. Steak frites not that flavorful but ok. Amaxing service and atmosphere. Unfortunately one of those places, we went, dined, won't be back. Was worth the experience though.

Google
Amazing food, excellent service and a special atmosphere. We dine here every time we are in Santa Fe. The steak I had was melt in my mouth perfect. The table side guacamole is wonderful.

Google
La Plazuela is the kind of restaurant that makes you wonder if you’ve accidentally wandered into a dream sequence — adobe walls, glowing lanterns, and a ceiling that could charm the crankiest traveler. It’s equal parts elegance and comfort, like fine dining in your favorite blanket. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish felt like it had been hand-delivered by a culinary spirit guide. Rich flavors, perfect portions, and plating so pretty you hesitate to ruin it… for about 3 seconds. And then there’s Yazz — our server, MVP of the night. Warm, attentive, and somehow always one step ahead, like a hospitality ninja. She and her fellow staff made the whole evening feel effortless and wonderful. If you’re in Santa Fe and want a meal that hits all the right notes — from ambiance to entrees to service — La Plazuela is a must. Come hungry, leave glowing.

Yelp
We didn't stay at the La Fonda hotel, but we visited this historic hotel and shopped and had brunch at the restaurant, which is located off the lobby in a multi-story atrium. The natural light, surrounding Southwest charm, and fountain make for a calm and enjoyable space in a very busy hotel. I had an omelet with avocado, onions and mushrooms, along with potatoes and toast. Everything was exceedingly tasty, all ingredients fresh. One of the better omelets I have had in both presentation and taste. Ketchup on request was served in small bowl (not ketchup bottle brought to table). Servers wore gloves and the service was exceptional (multiple servers attending to every need). The food and ambience surpassed my expectations, it's well-worth dining here even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Yelp
The La Plazuela is located in the La Fonda hotel right off the lobby. The decor is very bright, cheerful and done in the local Southwest style. We had breakfast twice during our stay and lunch once. The food is delicious, and funny enough all three meals we ended up with the same server, and once he recognized us, he was very friendly and we had great service. The ambiance is nice, the fountain in the middle adds a very nice touch, and we sat next to the fountain once and it was lovely. The short rib tacos were really tasty and the shredded short rib was so tender it melted in your mouth. The tacos were served with green rice with pine nuts and black beans. For breakfast we enjoyed avocado toast, unlike any I have had. It was wheat bread with almond fig jam, arugula, avocado, onion and a scrambled egg on top. Mr. B had the Huevos Motulenos, two eggs over easy on top of two corn tortillas covered in Tomatillo salsa, Queso Fresco, black beans on the side and a delicious grilled plantain. It was so delicious I ordered it on our last morning and Mr. B went with the Breakfast Burrito which he said was wonderful. We have had many experiences with hotel restaurants that haven't always been the best, but La Plazuela was a welcome surprise and we highly recommend it.

Yelp
Visited La Plazuela in mid-October right after the balloon festival with a large party of nine. We picked it on a whim while walking around the neighborhood, which was packed with tourists. The dining area is in a large atrium within the La Fonda hotel. A calming fountain sits in the center of the room, surrounded by two mid-size trees, stained glass windows, and various other classic Sante Fe-style architectural design elements. A stunning atmosphere, albeit in a very tourist setting. The wait staff was pretty attentive. I was impressed that they were able to sit a large party of nine with only about a ten-minute wait. The food was pretty good. My wife and I split the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and the French dip. Both were tasty. I preferred the enchiladas, my wife liked the French dip. I will say that it's not a great place for kids. Although there is a kids' menu, the items are overpriced and underwhelming--even by kids' meal standards. Overall a good meal, but next time I'm in Santa Fe I'll probably check out other options.

Yelp
Stopped in for a cocktail and a snack after shopping all day. Time for some libations! The four of us had: a Makers Mark Manhattan neat, a Herrudura Margarita on the rocks, a Dos Equis and a Cucumber & Jalapeño Margarita up. All were well mixed, not overly strong, and very nicely garnished. We heard a stomach growl amongst a party so we order some sweet potato fries and the Short Rib Nachos---so good! The service was quick, attentive, and the setting in lobby of La Fonda can't be beat for ambiance. Also they have live music regularly so that increases the fun factor ten fold. Give them a try, and stay for dinner at La Plazuela. Four stars!

Yelp
A Santa Fe favorite, La Plazuela doesn't disappoint. We had New Mexican choices-rellenos, a tamal, and flan. Can't say enough about how good the food was. We love the atmosphere in the heart of the classsic La Fonda hotel, surrounded by hand painted windows and a generally festive atmosphere.

Yelp
We come to La Plazuela for 'special' breakfasts. We love their unique take on the eggs Benedict with tomatillos and roasted potatoes. Best in town. Their piñon pancakes are wonderful, too. We enjoy the attentive service and the surprisingly reasonable prices for such a lovely restaurant.

Yelp
Located in the historic La Fonda Hotel, this was just about the only place that was open during a recent snowstorm that shut down most of Santa Fe. The La Fonda and their lunch restaurant La Plazuela was a welcome break. It is worth the visit just to see all the woodwork and the artwork in this historic building. Wow- this restaurant is stunningly spectacular to look at and even more special to take a while to enjoy a relaxed and delicious lunch. The tortilla soup was tasty with fresh chicken and a savory chicken stock and house made tortilla chips--a perfectly satisfying lunch on a cold day. Alyssia, our server, never missed a beat, she was attentive, friendly and clearly a very experienced server.

Yelp
Came here for the enchiladas & ambiance, but of course the quality service too! My food was very satiating, exactly what I was craving. Although this was my 2nd time in Santa Fe, I was just passing through again (3yr later) on a roadtrip, & had yet to eat here. Our server congratulated us with a champagne toast, since I am moving states with my man. We also enjoyed the delicious sangrias

Yelp
Place has great energy. Service was top notch. Had the lamb and the pork in banana leaf. Both were excellent. Best was the cheese cracker with seeds as a snack! Mmmm Great first dinner in Santa Fe!

Yelp
After wandering around downtown Santa Fe, we decided to do an early dinner at La Plazuela in Hotel La Fonda, right off the square. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server Judith who was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some of the specialty cocktails and ordered the table side guacamole, very tasty. We moved on to entrees, including green chili rellenos, tortilla soup and shredded chicken enchiladas. All were very good. The restaurant was a historic design with colorful stained glass, tasteful decor and traditional soft background music. Overall an outstanding experience. Definitely a repeater for us on our next visit to Santa Fe!

Yelp
Nice restaurant--- depending where you sit. We sat right next to the fountain, which was soothing and felt like we were dining outside. But they also have "chump" tables around the perimeter. In a dark walkway, they feel like that card tables put outside the dining room for the uninvited cousin's kids. First, the "ARTISANAL BREAD BOARD" was very bland. They should spell it "artisanal bread BORED". Get it? I think I heard a dad laugh from the table near the elevator. The blue corn muffins weren't bad. ($4/person) The TABLESIDE GUACAMOLE was good but pricey. I LOVED how you get to pick the ingredients like you're at Chipotle. Extra cilantro, light jalapenos. ($21) The LIME COCONUT SOUP (Coconut Milk, Lime, Shredded Chicken, Micro Cilantro, Chile Oil) ($13) and SPIKED CUCUMBER LEMONADE ($15) were both excellent. The seasonal PINA COLADA cake was good. The STRAWBERRY GOAT CHEESE SALAD is my favorite salad anywhere. The combination of bitter organic Arugula, sweet Strawberries, savory Goat Cheese, and sour Apple Vinaigrette, with Candied Walnuts with Balsamic Reduction was perfect with a little cracked pepper. ($19) The service was excellent, as one would expect from a place that sells $21 guacamole. I highly recommend reservations- but if you have to wait, La Fonda has a great lounge steps away while you wait for your text.

Yelp
I may have had the best enchiladas I've ever had. Service was on point, the noise level was quiet, decor is enjoyable as well. Just a great night all the way around
google avatar

Claudia M.

Yelp
The food was meh. I would not go back and would not recommend it. My beef enchiladas were spicy, and my husband's tamale was bland. There was zero flavor. Service was good, and we were given a nice table. They tried to accommodate my request to avoid seed oils. The chips that go with the table-side guacamole are prepackaged and not made in-house. There are better restaurants in Santa Fe.
google avatar

Mike E.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe. Food is solid if not write-home-about. Service is a little rough around the edges but still good. Overall a beautiful setting that is conveniently located in La Fonda hotel.

Yelp
I had a solo birthday dinner here and they took great care of me. They started by giving me a free glass of sparkling wine. A nice touch. I started with the STRAWBERRY GOAT CHEESE SALAD: Organic Arugula | Strawberries | Goat Cheese | Apple Vinaigrette | Candied Walnuts Balsamic Reduction. I really enjoyed this. All my favorite toppings and peppery arugula. Nice dressing but not too much. For my entree, I had the PORK SHANK OSSO BUCO: Tomatillo-Pomegranate Relish | Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. This was really tender and pulled off the bone easily. The meat was very tasty. Liked all the toppings and sides with it. For dessert, I had a pina colada cake which they also comped for my birthday. The cake was a little dry but I loved the topping, almost like a pudding on top with whipped cream. I had very good service and appreciated the birthday sparkling wine and dessert. The dining room is really pretty inside the La Fonda Hotel.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance. Short menu. Good food. Definitely get the table side guacamole. However, our waiter seemed like he no longer liked his job.

Yelp
We chose this location specifically for the decor and aesthetics. Its a lively kind of space. Lighting is amazing and the food was great. Not picture was the bread charcuterie, it came with several types of bread and butter and it was delicious. My favorites for the evening were the crab cakes, bread bowl appetizer, pork shoulder and the prime rib. Staff were super attentive, constantly refilling waters and asking if we needed plates to be taken away. A little too often for our personal liking, felt almost like we were being rushed.

Yelp
I ate breakfast there. The avocado toast was magnificent. The service was stellar - my coffee cup was kept full and the atmosphere is lovely. I've had dinner there too a few years ago and same experience - excellent.
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
The food is solid but you're really here for the vibes. It's a really nice space. Feels light and airy. The table side guac is particularly good. It being made table-side doesn't really make better but I don't hate the show. I got the enchiladas which were a little dry. Good beans.

Yelp
Honestly, really ok. For a place centered in the heart of Santa Fe, even though labeled as "non traditional" La Plazeula is widely expensive for highly quality mid-tasting food. Being raised in NM I feel a bit let down. Specifically the biggest let down was the wait staff. Rarely checked up on, had to flag them down (literally walk across the restaurant) to get the check, etc. I, admittedly also feel a bit duped after the weight stass suggesting the filet enchilada. In particular, for a restaurant of such high esteem, one would think that this meal would mean incorporating a filet and green chile enchilada. Instead, it was essentially ordering an order of enchilada, and filet, and they save you a plate by putting the steak on top. Superp interior is all I really think this place has going for it, much much better food in Santa Fe and surrounding areas.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service, great food and charming ambiance. The Corn Maiden for breakfast is delicious. For dinner I had the vegan salad with extra dressing and was very pleased. Husband had the halibut one night and the chicken mole another and enjoyed both. Also the drinks are very good especially the Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Lemon Drop. Great train watch right outside. The hotel is wonderdul too.
google avatar

Yelp
We splurged on this gorgeous restaurant the last morning in Santa Fe. It sits overlooking plaza and you feel like you're in another country. The blue corn piñon pancakes were hearty and delicious! It was a perfect send off. Skip the coffee if you can!

Yelp
Haven't been back to Santa Fe for 9 years, but knew we had to go to La Plazuela at La Fonda, the hotel on the square. Had lunch here twice in a week end! First time we shared chili rellenos, which came with pork pozole, black beans and guacamole. Yummy! And we both had plenty to eat. Today I had a bowl of that pork pozole (it isn't on the menu, you have to ask) it was so good! Husband had chicken tortilla soup, which he loved, and we shared a caesar, which was ok. The setting is so lovely, and service always excellent!

Jim W.

Yelp
One of our favorites as locals. Food is very good service is friendly and attentive. We love to come for breakfast during the week.
google avatar

Daniel F.

Yelp
The food and service were amazing. A little tight for table spacing. Started with the torilla soup. Very light but fresh. Then the goat cheese strawberry salad with walnuts. Great dish - large. Perfect to split. Filet and enchiladas were the main. Filet went to medium not medium rare. Enchiladas were light not too much spice. Pozole was amazing in it. Beans - normal perfect needed a little salt. Flan was light creamy and fresh berries and cinnamon. Outstanding.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous setting inside the historic old La Fonda hotel on the square in Santa Fe. We started with cocktails in the bar while we waited on our table. I had the Santa Fe Smash which was just perfect, and I finished it as we were called. The service is always great. For an appetizer we had the tomato tarte with goats cheese and salmon with poached egg. We had a half bottle of rosé which works out as a large glass each, just right. For main courses, I had the scallops with wild mushroom ravioli, which was perfectly seasoned and delicious. My partner had the Filet y enchiladas. The steak was a bit rarer than he'd ordered, but he ate it anyway. We were too full for dessert, but we had the complimentary sopapilla after our meal. Will definitely go back. The location is so special
google avatar

Cindy Z.

Yelp
This restaurant is in a cute courtyard setting in the middle of La Fonda. We liked the tableside guacamole but felt the chips were not up to par. For $22 guacamole, I thought we'd get legit chips, you know? I ordered the enchiladas and they were so good. I got them with both green and red chile (Christmas). The dish comes with pozole served on the plate, very tasty. I usually have it in a bowl, it was different but delicious. The margaritas were yummy, I tried the watermelon margarita and it didn't disappoint. I'd return!
google avatar

Yelp
Jesús Cristo! I ate it *all*- the which I never do. Of note: this is the room service variant; I am staying in the hotel proper. I currently find myself strewn across my bed in some sort of gastric delirium, penning this review. How they expect me to ambulate enough to visit any of the lovely shops spoking out on all sides down there, I truly don't know. Still, though: I regret nothing. And now- I nap.
google avatar

Mary V.

Yelp
Beautiful spot in the iconic La Fonda hotel. Recommend brunch as lunch was not our favorite. Brunch foods were all amazing from the Benedict to rancheros.
google avatar

Carole C.

Yelp
The avocado toast! Yummy food and wonderful service. We have a nice seat by the fountain. I wish I could comeback but it's a long way. Also, stay at the La Fonda hotel. It's a good value and we are right in the center of town.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Courtyard dining was so relaxing. Service was attentive and didn't make us feel rushed. Loved this experience!

Yelp
Everything on my plate was fantastic, my flank steak was perfectly cooked and smothered with peppers. The sides all rocked; pepper stuffed with refried beans, cheese enchilada, and roasted green onions. Not only delicious but a large enough portion to take some home. My partner had the rellenos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Our server was Brenda and she did an exceptional job, very attentive. We never had a dirty plate or empty water glass for more than a few minutes.

Gina R.

Yelp
Ambiance is definitely 5 stars. We started out at the rooftop deck of La Fonda hotel, then proceeded to dinner at La Plazuela within the hotel. All of LaFonda is awesome. Service was adequate but they took dirty plates faster than you could sit your fork down. I ordered the brisket chili rellenos with christmas sauce meaning one green chile and one red chile sauce. They were good, however the waiter /cook mixed up my plate with my friends plate with the side of beans. She had already bit into hers before we figured out I had her cheese chili rellenos. I asked the waiter to correct and he complied but I had to sit there and eat alone because our party of 6 had all eaten their food. I therefore ate only half of my plate, and essentially one bite of the cheese chili rellenos. An expensive messed u dinner.....$31.37 for nothing.

Daniel

Yelp
Service was very good. The place is very cool, an internal patio with a very high ceiling, modern with window art. Unfortunately, we did not like the food. We asked for enchiladas, which were served with beens and toasted corn with salsa. Too much stuff crammed in the dish, too salty for our taste and even the milder option was on the hot side. A real pity, we were expecting differently. La Plazuela is a high end place.

J A.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Very limited menu for lunch. Only one vegan option. Food was just ok. But Worse part is that I got very sick after eating there.
google avatar

Sharon W.

Yelp
Elegant setting in La Fonda Hotel with attentive service. Unfortunately, my chile rellleno dish arrived not fully cooked - the peppers were still raw and the breading was gooey. My partner's steak frites dish was lukewarm. the manager verified both and apologized, but offered only a free shared dessert to offset. Very pricey menu for this lack of quality.
google avatar

Yelp
La Plazuela is the signature restaurant within La Fonda hotel, and it sits at the very center, providing a picture-perfect view of the dining area from all sides. You'd think that'd create the dining experience of a goldfish bowl, but with the fountain, the trees, and all the twinkling lights overhead, there's nothing but a hushed and lovely ambience. We dined here for breakfast as soon as it opened. My husband ordered a custom omelette, which he was happy enough with until my Huevos Oaxacas arrived at the table, looking every bit the adult happy meal. A standard egg and cheese platter is elevated here to include poblano peppers, onions, salsa roja, black beans, and some sumptuous potatoes. The crisped tortilla strips made for an especially great pop of texture. It was - without hyperbole - the most flavorsome breakfast I've ever had, and once my husband snagged a bite, he, too, pronounced it "the best breakfast ever". We're planning on dining here again tomorrow - mostly because the husband now wants his own order of Huevos Oaxacas - but I don't doubt that everything else on the menu is par excellence. Service was entirely professional from the front hostess and the servers, and there was no rush to shoo us away once we finished our meal, which we appreciated since this is a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy a view.

Yelp
We dined at La Plazuela during the Santa Fe Wine and Chili Fiesta. The food was as good as I remembered! We started with chips and salsa, and the prickly pear and house margaritas. Chips were fresh and hot, the salsa good, not too spicy. The margaritas were decent. For appetizers, we shared a bowl of tortilla soup and the house Caesar salad. Both were excellent. The soup was expertly seasoned, with the depth of flavor of an authentic Mexican tortilla soup. The salad was plentiful, the lettuce chilled, and the dressing light and tasty. For entrees, we had the house chicken enchiladas, red and green sauce ("Christmas-style") and the filet with enchiladas, with the same sauces. The steak was prepared as ordered, and the enchiladas were piping hot. Both chili sauces were good. La Plazuela is an iconic mainstay in Santa Fe, part of the La Fonda complex. A nice place to dine and take in the history of Santa Fe!

Yelp
When in Santa Fe, Huevos Rancheros is a must. Absolutely delicious breakfast! Very friendly staff & amazing service! Loved the entire experience!

Gordon B.

Yelp
The service was fabulous. Deborah was the food and beverage manager and was very attentive and super friendly. It was our anniversary and my wife's birthday. The staff was great. Food is next level. AMAZING!!! This place is so authentic and a must for visitors. Great atmosphere too.

S. M.

Yelp
Had lunch there in peak tourist season (June 2024). Ordered a salad that was disappointing and overpriced. You're paying for the historic location and ambiance. Santa Fe is a tough city for providing value for one's restaurant food quality and service dollar.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a couple of drinks while figuring out dinner plans. This is the lounge in the La Fonda. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. There was live music playing which added to the overall ambiance. We had a few drinks and a charcuterie board. The drinks were very watery and you couldn't taste any alcohol in them at all. The charcuterie board was good. A small selection of items but not bad for the $21 price tag. The bar area was crowded and it's definitely a popular spot. We would have stayed longer for the music but the overpriced week drinks weren't sufficient. If I was staying at the La Fonda I might spend more time here but there are so many other places to check out.

Yelp
3.5 for food - tried bison for the first time. Kind service. Festive ambiance. Bison short rib tacos + tasty sear/smoky flavor. First time trying bison, it's a new flavor. - perhaps it's a leaner meat so it came out dry - taco shell also on the dry and harder to chew side - green rice (like risotto) was buttery and tasty - black beans, meh Enchiladas + green sauce had a nice kick +/- red sauce was toasty but not enough sauce + pinto beans were okay + sopapillas were a tasty deep fried and moist texture, tasty dipped in the honey - shredded chicken was on the drier side

Yelp
Fancy place to have a last dinner in Santa Fe. Located in a beautiful hotel, we made reservations and were seated immediately. The hostess isn't the warm and friendliest, but it only lasted less than a minute so it was fine. Our waiter was SUPER kind and attentive. A shame that the artisanal bread board wasn't available that night, but we love it when restaurants make their own spin on caesar salads, so we ordered the La Fonda Caesar. My fiance is usually meh with caesar salads, but I love it. In the end, we both really enjoyed it! It tasted as if the dressing had cheese in it and it just tasted like it was a really good high quality caesar salad that you can't get from your local supermarket. My fiance ordered the enchilada which tasted rich and I thought it was enjoyable. I ended up ordering the Blue Plate Special of the day, which was a papperdelle pasta with pesto and mussels. Absolutely delicious! I enjoy mussels, but I tend to not crave for it, but I was really happy with my choice. You'd expect a total of maybe 2 teeny tiny mussels, but they ended up giving me like a whole handful of super chunky pieces that went really well with the pasta! I could have probably gotten full just from eating the mussels. The noodles were also not overly soggy with the sauce and tasted so divine. I finished my dish pretty fast. I would come back to try other stuff. Great place!

Yelp
In SF, had no dinner reservations but LP was recommended by friends. Gracious host able to seat us immediately. Blue corn muffins excellent, asparagus soup fantastic, Caesar salad perfection. Well done.

Yelp
My family and I are visiting Santa Fe for the first time and the restaurant at the La Fonda was recommended to us. We loved everything we had. We had the tableside guac, chile rellenos and enchiladas. My husband was born and raised in southern New Mexico and even he thought the chile in the sauces was amazing. I would go here over and over again. We had excellent service and will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!

Yelp
Located in La Fonda Hotel, the restaurant is wrapped around a lovely fountain that makes for a special-feeling environment. There is a calm and laid-back energy to the place that allows you to enjoy your company and food. It was so laid back at a point that we wondered if there was a waiter assigned to our table, but when they found out we had been waiting just a little they brought us complimentary chips and salsa, which more than made up for our short wait. We also split the Caesar Salad and the Campfire Trout with fingerling potatoes and crispy bacon. Each dish was very tasty - and the trout was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Overall, a lovely restaurant with fresh, tasty food. If you want live music after - the bar right next door, in the hotel, had a lively band and fun energy.

Yelp
We took a ghost tour of Santa Fe one evening and met with our guide in front of the concierge desk. The atmosphere of La Plazuela was so intriguing I knew I had to have at least one meal while visiting Santa Fe. We came for breakfast the next morning and sat next to the suicide well (shhh, it's beneath the fountain at the center). We got there relatively early to beat the crowd. Here's what we ordered: NEW MEXICO BURRITO Flour Tortilla | Scrambled Eggs | Chorizo Sausage Grilled Breakfast Potatoes | Asadero Cheese Red Chile | Green Chile | Christmas Chile | Smoky Black Beans - I get Christmas chile but on the side cause I don't love super spicy but I appreciate the flavors! The burrito was good, fantastic flavor reached with the chorizo they use. It was a plus in my book for not being super greasy. PANCAKES Choice of Buttermilk | Blueberry | Blue-Corn Piñon Whipped Butter | Fresh Seasonal Berries Maple Syrup - we HAD to try it. Everyone in Santa Fe insisted we get pancakes with pine nuts. The experience was good, it gave it texture and a pine nutty essence, next time I might try the waffles. There's hotel parking but you can eventually find parking on the street somewhere. Most of the meters only allow for a maximum of 2 hrs of time. Make sure to set your alarm.
