Excellent salsa, Fantastic Chile Relleno, and pretty good tacos make this the best overall taco truck I've found in the Columbus area (out of the dozens I've tried). I'm not a fan of their beans or rice though and the Mole was not as complex or full flavored as I had hoped. They recently added Gorditas which my friend absolutely loved! Any time I've found another taco truck that might do one thing better, there's always another aspect that's disappointing - I'll give an example: Los Agaves had slightly better Birria tacos (particularly their Consume is delicious!), but, Los Agaves salsa is CRAP compared to the fantastic Salsa Verde from Poblanita's. Also, I don't like how some taco places charge extra for Jalapeños! (Poblanita's does not). 3/3/2025: Love the Chili Rellenos! I get them "ala carte" rather than the platter, and sometimes put them on my tacos, as I will show in photos I'm adding today. 😁

Google
Best taco truck in Columbus! Meats on tacos seasoned perfectly, and green sauce is my favorite. Highly recommend asada and pastor. Taco portions also better than all other trucks.

Google
The food at La Poblanita is absolutely amazing—authentic, flavorful, and always satisfying. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. However, the biggest issue is reliability. They often don’t follow their posted hours, which is frustrating when you make a trip expecting them to be open. I’d love to give a full five stars, but the lack of consistency really affects the overall experience. If they improve their scheduling or post real-time updates, they’d easily be one of the best food trucks around.

Google
2024: They will be closed from Jan. 12 to some time in March! Love their tacos, first time I had it their meats were tender, the most recent time it was on the dry side. Beans and rice is good. Hot chocolate: not your typical hot chocolate! This one has corn in it! Very interesting texture

Google
I absolutely love this truck, and the people working here at the corner of Northridge and Indianola. Whether it be walking, biking, driving a motorcycle or four-wheeled-vehicle, get yourself here and try their food!! Its all made to order and authentic flavors. They'll know you by name if you are a regular - I certainly am. Leaving a positive review only now... but their great meals will have me coming back for years to come. Thank you for years of great service to Cville, La Poblanita!!

Google
I was recommended this food truck by a family member, and I'm so glad I went! This is the best mexican food I've had in Columbus. We ordered chicken tamales and street tacos. Tamales were very delicious, and the street tacos were too. My favorite was the steak street taco topped with cilantro and onion. Truly delicious and most authentic. Fast and friendly service on top of this delicious food make this taco truck a place I will return to and highly recommend!

Google
Delicious steak: awesome steak dinner! Best Mexican I've had in Columbus. Tender meat, flavorful and tasty sauces.

Google
WOW this place is good! I’ve had several things from them in the past few months and I’ve discovered that it doesn’t matter what you order. It will be excellent. And sometimes they have pineapple and watermelon water. I never knew I needed this in my life.

Yelp
Such a great taco (and much more) truck! We tried both pastor and asada burritos and they were muy delicioso! Almost got some tamales but will save that for next time. Reasonable prices (not the cheapest maybe $12? Still fair compared to others) but really loved the salsa verde. Both verde and rojo were solid, but the verde was my preference. Friendly service and very popular in the neighborhood! There was a solid stream of customers on a Friday evening.

Yelp
What went well? EVERYTHING! I have been eating here for many years! Good is excellent! Service is amazing! They are right next door to my mechanic; Cheeseman's! They serve a lot of the plant workers across the street during lunch hours. They have 2 picnic tables outside so that's the ambiance...like a picnic! It's perfect! They are so nice!
google avatar

Yelp
We tried this for the first time and it won't be the last! This place is so fresh and delicious!! Chicken Burrito and Taco Meal!!
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
These might be the best corn tortillas I have ever had. They are really soft and fresh. I really enjoyed the tacos, but the rice and beans actually stole the show. Don't miss out on those sides. They offer fresh red and green salsa. Green is HOT. Red also has a kick, but is the milder of the two. Service was fast and prices are really inexpensive for the quantity of food you get. TIP: the truck is located in the parking lot of the Beechwold Barber Shop. I used the location of La Poblanita and Google maps couldn't find it.

Yelp
I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this truck, but will not keep doing so!! I stopped in to pick up a burrito and will come back for another! It was super quick and home I went. When I pulled it out of the bag, that thing was huge! I ate it for 2 meals. It was stuffed full of rice, beans, veggies and some really tasty grilled chicken. The hot red salsa on the side really added to the flavor and I enjoyed my whole lunch!

Yelp
BEST FOOD TRUCK IN TOWN!!! Very authentic food, I have definitely gained like 5lbs from eating here pretty much every day! The service is very friendly and they're all starting to recognize me (I hope) and greet me with laugh and smile. Oh my goodness don't get me started on their horchata, best in town. I've tried many many places horchata and this place has the best, trust me I eat a ton of food, I would know!
google avatar

Cary D.

Yelp
Fast service. It's a food truck so no real "ambiance". Doesn't matter. Great food. Nice daily specials. Great Al Pastor tacos and had Combo Birria. 4 tacos with a soup to dip them in. Nice. Make sure you order the tacos Mexican style rather than American.

Jacob S.

Yelp
Lived in Clintonville for about 3 years and this was always a weekly treat for my girlfriend and I. This is one of those places that you won't make a bad decision regardless of what you get, we especially loved the steak quesadilla, chorizo tacos, and my personal favorite Chile Relleno. The service is very patient and helps you with navigating the items on the menu. I will be back to visit very soon!
google avatar

Yelp
super fresh food!! kind people!! super fast and good for the money!! yummy salsa verde!!

Richard T.

Yelp
Always good food as an affordable price. Longtime business in the Quinn Ville area and hopefully will be with us for many years to come.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Nachos, tacos, and tortas all have great flavor and generous portions. Our go to local food truck
google avatar

Dilara C.

Yelp
Everything here is excellent, just take my word for it! If you are able to pick and choose what days you go, try to stop by on the weekends so you can get some tamales. They're the best!
google avatar

Kim Peters W.

Yelp
My favorite Mexican place in town! Their chips are always fresh and it isn't overly greasy. It is consistently awesome!
google avatar

Jim F.

Yelp
First time I've ever been here and I will certainly be back. Had the "3 tacos platter" and it was really delicious. I had one carnitas, one chicken, and one al pastor and all were delicious, hot, and clearly homemade. Rice and beans--which I love almost as much as the entree at most Mexican restaurants--was the best I've had ANYWHERE in the city. I am glad they're a little far away. Any closer and I would be here 5 times a week!
google avatar

Aaron M.

Yelp
I've been coming here now for some time now. And I will continue as long as I live in Columbus. This is for sure one of my favorite places to get Tacos. The Tacos are really great here. Their pastor tacos are amazing. I could eat any of their tacos any day of the week, but the pastor are my favorite. Their Burritos are pretty great as well. Everything comes out fresh and hot. They don't do anything new or innovative, they are a traditional taco truck, and they do that VERY well. So if you want very tasty traditional Mexican food, give this place a try. You wont be disappointing.
google avatar

Nitya N.

Yelp
I got the three taco combo and did two "Mexican" tacos and one "american" taco. For meats I chose chicken tinga, steak and pastor. THE PASTOR WAS SOOOO GOOD. I'm super excited to try the shrimp taco next!!! I personally like the Mexican tacos more than the American tacos because the cilantro and onion combo really highlighted the flavor of the meat.⁣ ⁣ FOR $10 I GOT 3 TACOS, RICE, BEANS AND A PINEAPPLE JARRITOS.

Yelp
La Poblanita is an excellent Mexican food truck. It's always parked outside the barbershop on Indianola. They have been open most times. It's even open during the winter, which is good if you're craving food cart Mexican. They have all kinds of authentic items including soda pops. The burritos are about $7 which isn't terrible. It sure is a lot better than fast so called Mexican food. The vegetable burrito comes with beans and a good amount of lettuce and tomatoes. It was much better than expected. The hot sauce that came with it was almost worth the cost of the burrito and really helped make it as good as it was. It's not too slow even though it's authentic. The workers there are usually friendly and will answer questions you need to know to get your food preference. I will go to La Poblanita whenever around that area. If you go at lunch there's a good chance there will be Marzetti employees eating. Will be sure to go again another time.
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
Parked in the parking lot of a barber shop on Indianola, I came here for authentic street tacos on recommendation from my brother and I wasn't disappointed. Heads up on directions, Yelp has the correct address but if you try to navigate directly from Yelp it takes you down the street near the Planet fitness which is inaccurate. Now back to the important business, the food! They have a taco combo, 3 tacos, rice beans, and a drink for $8 which was very reasonable. I got shrimp, lengua, and pastor. My only reason for four stars is the lengua didn't have as much flavor as I've tasted from other taco trucks, however, the pastor was phenomenal. And, the horchata, one of my FAVORITE Mexican drinks, was delicious. You could tell it was homemade and not from the powder mix. There's no reason why you shouldn't try these tacos! Very friendly service, authentic Mexican fare.

Yelp
So these amazing tacos are what I really needed after the gym. I had chorizo, steak and seasoned pork. They were meaty and delightful. I had them cooked Mexican style as the option. The chorizo taco is spicier than I usually prefer but I'll get it again.FYI they sell Tamales on Friday!!!
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Still awesome, my wife and I are so glad we don't live here in Columbus. If we did we would go broke buying burritos LOL! Still the best burritos we found east of Colorado! So good a little on the pricey side but well worth it
google avatar

Anneke M.

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite spots for tacos, tortas, and tamales! You can't miss the bright yellow truck in the parking lot, so pull in and start thinking about all of the delicious things you'll order. All of the fillings that I've had are fantastic--the faves in our household are the tinga, shrimp, and asada. Both salsas are great, the verde is less spicy than the roja, so if you aren't looking for any heat, take note. I've never had the flour tortillas, but the corn tortillas are delicious and taste like they've been made quite recently! With a taco truck, you aren't interacting with the staff a ton, but they have always been friendly, kind, and orders come out quick and accurate. Couldn't ask for more!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has great tacos!! I'm a native of Los Angeles CA and love legit tacos, this place has them. Two blocks from the house and since I have been here my wife and I go every Tuesday! Veggie tacos are amazing, carnitas, and El Pastor are all amazing.
google avatar

Jillian D.

Yelp
Yummy homestyle, traditional Mexican tacos. Filling with fresh ingredients, and came out super quick! I loved the side of cucumbers with lime too.

Laurie M.

Yelp
Love the tacos and the tamales on the weekend. The staff are so nice and service is usually pretty quick. Nice people, great food!
google avatar

Purun Y.

Yelp
Great, authentic tacos for an affordable price! Tamales are Friday only. Steak plate was delicious too with tortillas on the side.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch and got the 3 taco combo (traditional style: asada, pastor, chorizo) and the nachos (chorizo)! Absolutely delicious, well seasoned and the spicy salsa actually has a good bit of heat which we leave! We're definitely going to be here quite with prices that are solid for the amount of food you get! We'll probably get 2 meals out of it!

Zack M.

Yelp
Food came out quickly and the chorizo taco was one of the better in cbus. Could have given more limes.

Miller D.

Yelp
This is the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus. The staff is always very friendly and the service is very quick. I could not recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Brett P.

Yelp
I didn't stop here for the longest time because I thought they didn't have vegetarian options. I feel so stupid now thinking about all the times I drove by this incredible food. I had a veggie burrito that was hefty and delicious. The tortilla was lightly grilled and very enjoyable. Their red salsa is great level of heat but really packs a great flavor. The veggie Torta was also delicious and the bread was perfect. Their avocados were perfectly ripe, and so we're the tomatoes. This place knows good food. The horchata is also a treat.
google avatar

Karla F.

Yelp
It's really unfortunate that this food truck is so close to work. Whenever I have a taco craving, I don't have an excuse. I can't say "oh, it's too far I won't be back in time" or "the traffic getting there is horrendous and I don't want to drive in it". I usually give in to temptation at least once a week. My mother is Mexican and makes some bomb tacos - these are the next best thing. I always get the Mexican tacos with chorizo and their red salsa (they have two - red and green). To me, the red is spicier, which I like. The chorizo has such an amazing flavor and I'm pleased as punch that they use handmade corn tortillas. It's usually pretty busy but I've never had to wait a long time for my order. The only drawback is there is only one picnic table so, if it's occupied, you're stuck eating in your car. I'm more than okay with that, though.

Maya H.

Yelp
Amazing. Always good. One of my favorite places to stop. Very nice. You can call ahead. THE TORTAS ARE AMAZING. Because of this place tortas are my new favorite go to food. Check them out.
google avatar

Sammy P.

Yelp
Great food, friendly prompt service, great prices. This is some of the best Mexican food in Columbus, and I only wish they had a sit-down restaurant. You can call your order in ahead and pick it up 10-15 minutes later (they'll let you know if it's busy and will be longer). They're always accommodating with substitutions for vegetarians, and everything we've had there has been yummy. The tacos are a steal and they'll serve them to you American Style (with cheese etc instead of onion and cilantro) if you want. Give it a shot!
google avatar

Pat E.

Yelp
The yellow color of the trailer does stands out. So does the tiny size. Not so attractive. Probably why lots of people drive by without stopping. I did for the longest time. Just didn't look like all that. But then again, looks are deceiving. Man, was I surprised when I finally made the decision to give it a try. An older Latina was taking orders & cooking then. Now it's younger guys. I miss her. Even still, they can serve up a serious burrito. Fast. Two styles. Traditional (cilantro & onions) and American (sour cream cheese) with the other fixings of lettuce and tomatoes. Big Ass & reasonable price. $7.50. The menu is pretty standard Mexican fare including tacos, tortas and quesadillas.Tasty. They run "specials" weekly. Last time it was chile rellenos dinner. About $10. The price point alone earns this place a star. I like that La Poblanita is open most times when lots of other food trucks are closed during the winter season. Closed on Sundays and open till 8:30pm the other nights. Plenty of parking space as it sits on lot of a hair salon. After you pay for an order, they will ring a bell to let you know it's ready. Cash or charge. Finally, customers seem to be regulars. They come across the street from Marzetti Co. Primarily during breaks. A busy time. It's been over a year now of coming here, more than a few times. I would say it's a great go to spot in Cville when hungry and want to do take away.

Yelp
Summary of my review Price : great Burrito: delicious Rice: bland Beans: average Salsa : HOT An $8 burrito thats the size of your face was very reasonable. I want to go back and get $2 tacos tho! I got chorizo in my burrito and it had lots of flavor! The chorizo was definitely the most standout part of what I got. I would go back and just eat straight chorizo. It was the sides that i found disappointing. The rice did not have much flavor to it (especially after having a flavorful bite of chorizo) and the beans were nothing to write home about. No standout flavor, just simple beans. I got the verde salsa and dipped my finger in to try it. I thought it wasn't TOO bad at first but it's one of those slow burners that sits on and attaches to your tongue. Too spicy for me but I know some people like that. When i ate it with the burrito, the spiciness didnt seem as bad but i was hardly using much. I will definitely be going back to try more stuff. Also, their facebook page says they moved but I think they have now moved back to their original location across from Marzetti. I tried calling their number to ask but it went straight to voicemail (in spanish) twice.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was delicious! They practice proper safety protocol in a scary time and the workers are wonderful.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
LOVE this taco truck. Eat here at least once a week. Great flavors, quality for the money is the best value. Al pastor & chicken tacos traditional style (onion & cilantro) are my go-tos. Friday is tamale day. These are also pretty darn good. Tacos come with cucumber, lime & radishes. Green and red sauces very tasty & flavorful. The horchata is my second favorite in the city. So so good & mellows our all the smoky red sauce heat.
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
One of the best taco trucks! Location is actually in Beechwold Barber Shops parking lot. GPS takes me up the road further than what it is. If you want authentic Mexican tacos, come here! Price is great. Quesadillas are awesome too.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Always wonderful and delicious. Their carnitas burrito is a favorite but the veggie burrito and the veggie tacos are really, really good. Their hot sauce is delicious but so is their verde. You can call ahead and pickup which is what I usually do. Horchata is good but I usually just get the food. My favorite taco truck in Columbus.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
I've driven by this little food truck several times; I only wish I had stopped in sooner! They've got a very condensed menu serving mostly tacos and burritos, but they have a good selection of "protein" to choose from. Feeling a bit too lazy to cook dinner tonight, I grabbed one of their asada burritos in the traditional style. It came with a decent portion of meat, rice, cilantro and lettuce. It was delicious! The best part was the price, though - only $7.50 - which is well worth it for the size. I'll definitely be a returning customer!
google avatar

Andrew U.

Yelp
Top 3 tacos in Columbus. Easy location off Indianola. The platters are solid as well!
google avatar

Trip P.

Yelp
One of the best taco spots in the area (and their tamales on the weekend are phenomenal!)
google avatar

Kirstyn L.

Yelp
Avid fan, but unfortunately their truck seems to have moved. Anyone have any information about this??
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I have been to seven different "authentic taco" places in Columbus over the last two weeks, La Poblanita hands down is the best! (They don't offer the delicious carrots but it's okay because they are not needed) the sauces are outstanding and the service is always exceptional! So far my favorite! How can you beat a $2 taco? These guys are always here too (it's a food truck) and very consistent with everything they offer, highly recommend!
google avatar

Jackson W.

Yelp
I absolutely love authentic style tacos and this place does not disappoint. However, they are more expensive than most other places and that's the only reason for the three star rating. $3 for tacos is considerably higher than most places. Tamales are extremely good as well. Four tacos, two tamales = $16
google avatar

Jacqueline P.

Yelp
One of the best taco trucks. Love the El Pastor tacos with rice and beans, chorizo burrito (enough for two meals). Friendly service all the time!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Marci, the proprietress, works hard all day with her sons and nephew to make some of the best Mexican food Columbus has to offer. Her tamales, made fresh on Fridays and Saturdays are moist, hot and delicious. I know it's sacrilege to say, but my two teenage sons prefer her tacos to Los Gauchos'. I'm not sure I could say Marci's are better, but taking into account the convenience factor for me, a Clintonvillain, this place is number one for me.

Damon B.

Yelp
Great staff and excellent tacos - pastor and veggie are house favorites! Added tip, try the tamales on the weekend!
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
Overall - I'm really surprised that I have lived in the area for 3 years and have only gone here til now. Great food, prepared with care, and a very pleasant experience. I am excited to go back and try different things on the menu. Below are a few things that stood out to me.. Unique - My dish had potatoes in it, I have never seen this before. They are fry shaped, but not... fried. They tasted par-cooked, but fully cooked at the same time. They were very good, and I want to learn how to make them. Spices and flavors - I found the flavors to be great. I HATE when food is salted too much. The salt here was perfect. The other flavors were great. Location and customer service - Despite being located on a busy road, this place has easy parking, and did not feel crowded. The staff was so nice and pleasant. Red and green sauce - This is very important to me. If these are bad they can ruin the meal. The red sauce here is great - spicy, smoky, and fresh. Green sauce - very nice too, fresh and aromatic.

Yelp
Moving to Columbus from California, I must say, this truck hits home. I'm also of Mexican decent & I'm picky about my Mexican food but this food truck is my go to. It's real authentic Mexican food, not that Tex Mex crap other restaurants serve. Their horchata is pretty good too. Staff & food won't disappoint.
