Love La Pop! Only rated a 4 for this past experience which was not the norm.
** The good points: **
Location is kept up, colorful and inviting. Very culturally and personally touched by the family and staff.
Order taking is easy and staff friendly. Very casual vibes but quick and efficient.
Food - home cooked and tastes authentic, great! Lots of variety - especially for burritos.
** Cons (this visit) **
Perhaps it's because it had been some time since my last visit, or because we had a big order for a group but seemed a little overpriced. 3 per burrito - makes sense for perhaps a carne guisada or smoked sausage one, not so much for egg/potato or been/cheese imo. Tbf they make sure burritos are good size.
Taste - this time for me personally I found the chorizo & egg lacking. Too much bland egg, not enough chorizo made for a bland burrito.
Carne guisada was too salty this time for me. I didn't desire or worry to eat the last third of it.
