I kept hearing how big La Pops breakfast burritos were. Well just that alone made me want to go. Well, they are absolutely the biggest breakfast burrito. I’ve had in a while. I got chorizo and egg, added cheese. It came to about $5.50. Just chorizo and egg burrito is about $4.50. It was bigger than my hand, and throw in some excellent hot sauce and you’ve got a great breakfast burrito. We will definitely be back again.

The burritos are amazing. I came here on recommendation from my boss. I'm here temporarily for work. I got the carne guisada and both times they did not disappoint. They are always busy. And the staff is friendly service is quick.

Been eating the carne guisada since I was a kid, I love this place. The tacos are pretty loaded to be careful you don’t over do it!

Ho My God!!! Im from Austin and let me tell you from now on my favorite restaurant,Best chilaquiles ever,!! Was pleasantly surprised with the food; it was served very hot and tasted very good! Tried the fajita and burritos and both were good. Prices aren't bad either. Place is clean and very welcoming with the bright murals. Will be back soon!

Very nice staff it was our first time eating here we heard so many good things ….. she explained everything the service was great the breakfast burritos were AMAZING ! We’ve found our new spot ! Very reasonable pricing will return

We got the Carne Guisada and it was sooooo good! We decided to try the bean and potato and it was really good. Good size for the burrito. They don’t post the prices though so that is the one thing I didn’t like about it and that is why I gave 4 stars. Definitely recommend and will be back!

best street tacos ever nothing else beats them and there always loaded with plenty meat and the horchata is amazing def try them

Mike and I are always on the lookout for a bigger and better breakfast burrito. I saw La Pop's on yelp and decided to give them a try. They are a little bit more expensive than some of the other places we have tried, but the breakfast burritos are also bigger and quite good. The only downside I have found is they charge more for add-ons than most other places, specifically cheese. My favorite has always been chorizo, egg, and cheese, and they make an excellent one. Their homemade hot sauce is really good! Next time you're out for a breakfast burrito, definitely give La Pop's a try!

The burritos were so fresh and big. . The Hot Sauce was very flavorful. The Strawberry Banana drink was refreshing and delicious. We also got 2 quarts of Carne with tortillas and hot sauce to take to our kids in the DFW area. Called in to carry out and our order was ready when we got there. Service was excellent. It's a little whole in the wall place with great food.

I love getting asada burritos here. The food is amazing and I have to eat here anytime I'm in Abilene. The only complaint is that parking lot is horrendous.

Big-ass burritos with good flavor! I ordered the carne con chile & chicharron burritos. Carne con chile flavor/heat was fire but carne wasn't very tender. Chicharron could've been way crispier but that was my fault for not asking them to crisp it up if that's even possible for them to do. Salsa was good & I appreciated how they give you one per burrito. Cashiers were friendly/fast. But I had to wait a long time for my to-go order to be ready--around 15-20 minutes. It was busy but not as crazy as I've heard it can be. Great location & customer base being near Dyess AFB. Overall, legit & reliable Mexican food spot!

I am a very picky person when it comes to flour tortillas lol but as soon as I opened my chorizo and egg burrito, I could tell the tortillas are fresh/homemade. The service was great, I told the cashier it was my first time and he was very polite and helpful and answered any questions I had. The parking lot looked very busy but service was fast. Being new to Abilene, I've been looking for good authentic mexican food. I will definitely come back to try other items from their menu since I only tried the chorizo/egg, bacon/egg, and horchata.

1st time here and on 1st impressions is that for a Sunday at 9:30 am, there are too many people in line waiting for their food. I counted 12 waiting for food. I thought, shouldn't these people be out in Service? I almost walked out, but considering the Yelp reviews I dealt with the wait. And I am glad I did. They knocked out the line waiting for "to-go" orders fairly quickly and I got my food fast! I ordered 2 egg and sausage burritos. They were everything I thought they would be and some. The tortillas were amazing and fresh. Typically I skip the Salsa but theirs is just right with less heat and more flavor. In hindsight the long ass line should have been a sign of how good the food must be here.

We went right after the lunch rush & out was still great food! We realized why it's so full during meal times because we'll definitely return if ever in the area, again.

These breakfast burritos were so good I wish I would have ordered two. Very tasty filled with fresh eggs and sausage. Lots of salsa spicy the way I like it. I consider myself a breakfast burrito expert ( I've destroyed many) and these were perfect. Lots of people there this morning and I was surprised at how fast our order came out as we ordered eight burritos.

La pop has the best breakfast hands down. It has become kinda pricey, but who hasn't? Usually we always have a good experience. This was not the case Sunday afternoon . Part of our group had gotten there at one and had ordered breakfast. Our second half came in at 1:30 and was NOT able to order breakfast. They refused to make any eggs. Seriously?! So be warned not all items are available till closing. We were very disappointed but lesson learned.

The portion size was mediocre IMO, and the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't good. The value for the food is good though.

Great food. Convenient location and quick service. This place is just down the road for work so it makes it a great place daily for breakfast and lunch.

Surprised me, was actually very food and a great price. lots to choose from on the menu. Waiters are very polite and helpful and the place was quite and clean. lots of seating for a small building. Would reccommend

La Popular had the best breakfast tacos in the state! There Carne Asada is the best I have ever had. If you are looking for something spicy, the chichorrone is for you.

gosh how much do i miss La Pop since moving from Abilene. People. Get the Carne Guisada and the Bean and Cheese. Or just really anything. it'll all be incredible.
