La Pratolina

The pizza was very very good, it was fresh and very tasty! We went around 17 hours and there weren’t many people. Stayed outside, where it was a bit hot due to the black covers…but the food was super good and the staff kind. And the prices are good too! And inside it looks amazing, super authentic and clean! Lovely, overalll!

First time in Rome. Randomly found this place and boy were we happy! I was reading the reviews and there was one ignorant person that said that the food took too long! This isn't fast food, this is a home cooked family style restaurant! Everybody inside were families that were clearly happy with the food and the service. For that person looking for fast food, there's a McDonald's across town! The food was spectacular, the pensa was so unique and delicious because of the dough. If you're lucky enough to be in Rome, in near this place, I highly suggest you check them out! For those looking for fast food, please don't give them a one-star review because of your ignorance.

We went for the pinsa romana and we were not disappointed. Really good. The ricotta salata was amazing. Pratolina and Saporita also very very good. Service was really nice, fast and friendly and they got a special drawing kit so young kids are busy doing something till they bring the food. Definitely worth while.

The pinsa was delicious and perfectly cooked. The appetizers were also delicious bites. The pasta was good, but more than that. I would come back for the pinsa though. The prices were also very reasonable

This was the best restaurant we have found in Rome with very honest and reasonable prices. We are tourists from Australia with an Italian native. We struggled to find reasonably priced Roman food and high quality. This was unbeatable and 3 days on, we're still raving about it. Can't wait to go again. Staff were very friendly as well. They would recommend the order of dishes to eat first to truly enjoy all flavours.

We stumbled across this place when we were trying to find a new place to eat in the neighborhood we were staying in while most places were closed. We can summon up in one word, authentic! When we walked in, all we heard were group conversations of Italians and we knew we would be Eating a very authentic dinner. The staff were very kind and they make all of their desserts! See the attached photos. I am a carbonara lover, and this is by far the best carbonara I’ve had while in in Rome! The tiramisu is to die for and even my husband who does not like coffee or cheesecake. Enjoyed their cheesecake and tiramisu. Even the house wine was delicious and did not taste like House wine and had a good price of only five euro. We would highly recommend this place.

Perfect Pinsa! Super light, crispy, and fresh. Fair prices and nice outdoor space. If you're near the Vatican, it's worth the short walk! Restaurant was also sparkling clean, including bathrooms. Always a good sign.

The first pinsa I had here was so shockingly delicious! I had the pinsa called Pratolina, which is the same name as the restaurant, and it was delicious. I didn't know what pinsa was, so I asked the staff and they explained it to me carefully, and I had a wonderful experience. It's a great restaurant in every respect, and I'd like to go again when I come to Rome.

Right from the airport we came straight here! Parking was hard to find. We ended be up finding a garage that was affordable within steps to La Pratolina. The waitress was wonderful. She was patient with us as we poured over the menu. The restaurant is quaint and nicely decorated inside. The outside seating is beautiful as well. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day in May. The wine was great. The squash blossom was an experience but I like less batter in order to taste the delicate flower. The pizza was amazing. Can I order another to go right now? The crust is light and crispy. You have to try it to believe how good it is. How could I have so little time in Rome that I didn't get a chance to eat a proper meal here. There will be a next time, that is for sure.

Highly recommend this little gem! We walked over for lunch after visiting the Vatican and couldn't have been more pleased. Located in a very residential area, the atmosphere is exactly what you would want it to be - quiet, quaint and authentic. The service was wonderful. Upon arrival they greeted us with a welcome glass of Prosecco. Our waitress made recommendations for pizza which was absolutely delicious. I couldn't eat another bite, but alas, I finished the whole thing. Once we paid, they offered us a complimentary shot of limoncello. A wonderful experience all around!

Per people's recommendations, I came here for the best Roman-style pizza. But I was not impressed. Only because New York has spoiled me with some of the best pizzas in the world. (By the way, my Italian friends told me later that Rome is not famous for pizza period. Naples is. ) The pizza you should get here is La Pratolina. The truffle there was really the highlight. Mixed with cured meat and cheese, the flavors were quite good. But the dough was soggy and on the thicker side. I just didn't get it. Maybe that's how Roman pizzas are. I just prefer it thinner and crunchier. Also you have to make a reservation to dine here.

Talking about a local spot... first time finally found a spot where it's all locals and we are the only Americans there. It's located in a very residential neighborhood. Everyone feel like they came to mothers house for dinner. Tons of laughter and warmth. Great very friendly service, the locals are super sweet and food is delicious. I struggle writing this review as I would love the place to stay filled with locals but it's too good not to be mentioned

Came here around 11pm on a Monday night because it was close to our hotel. The waitress was friendly and the restaurant had a couple of tables (a mix of locals and tourists) with a nice vibe. We ordered one pizza each and a green salad. We were given complimentary Prosecco to start and the flavors mixed nicely together! Would highly recommend for some great pizza!

This is a restaurant where locals go. This is not the tourist trap type of restaurant. Pizza was delicious and the so does the wine. Prices are affordable. Restaurant is very welcoming and clean. The staff is also very helpful and make you full welcome. You need reservation. We were lucky to arrive just before they open (7:00pm) so they could accommodate us.

Great pizza and salad . Waitress spoke English. A little loud due to a group of Americans that were talking loudly and whistling .they seem to have won a lot of award that was listed on the door.The complementary Prosecco was a nice touch .

Decided to try this place out after watching a vlog on the pinsa here. The two types that were recommended are the Emiliana and the Genovese. Our waiter was very nice and complemented our entry with glasses of Prosecco. The pinsas were delicious! My only complaint was that it was way too filling and my girlfriend and I could not finish the plates. Otherwise this is a charming restaurant with a warm reception.

We found this gem near our Air B&B we stayed at during our visit to Rome. This was one of the places that were open late night until 1AM within our area and for our first night in Rome, we were so glad to find this place. It exceeded above our expectations for authentic pizza in Italy! As soon as we were seated, the waitress handed us a complimentary glass of prosecco. We then started with the fried vegetable for appetizer that consisted of aubergines, potatoes, peppers and fresh zucchini served with a pink sauce. We also ordered a bottle of wine for 15 euros- Brachetto D'Acqui red wine, what a steal and one of the best wines I've ever had! We ordered two pizzas, La Pratolina- cream of truffles, mozzarella, champignon mushrooms, cacio cavallo and speck and the Irish-truffle cream, mozzarella fior di latte, boiled potatoes and sausage. Both pizzas were white sauce based and were out of this world good! A bit of a warning though, they don't cut your pizza unless requested and it does get messy. The service was great and welcoming and also provided us with English menus which was a plus. When I return to Rome, I'll be sure to keep this place in mind, definitely worth a visit!

Delicious pizza! I ordered the prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, and tomatoes. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, and very very busy. Even for 10 pm, this place is packed. I can see this as a fun hangout with the friends or a romantic table for two. The rooms are set up as two separate dining rooms with the pizza stove in the middle. Filled with locals, it's a great place to grab dinner or for take away. Sweet! They take credit cards.

I can see why this restaurant is busy into the late evening hours, frequented by locals, young people, and tourists like us. Once I stepped in I got a whiff of truffle, yes! We ordered 3 pizzas and my personal favorite was the one with mushrooms and truffle, my brother like the mortadella, you can't go wrong. The pizza crust is actually 'pinsa' which is very light, airy, and not greasy, we couldn't stop eating! Try the local beer, get the mascarpone dessert (with nutella and biscotti), to die for.

A friend who has visited Rome before recommended La Pratolina to us, as it is around the corner from the B&B we were staying at during our visit in December. The location is very convenient, and is definitely a local place. As tourists, we definitely did not feel as if we were in a tourist hot spot. We did not realize that reservations were highly recommended, but we were able to be seated when we arrived. The staff was very kind and service was wonderful. The pizza we ordered had prosciutto and arugula, and the prosciutto was cold while the rest of the pizza was warm. Maybe that's how is was to be served, but it wasn't my favorite. If we return, I would likely order something else. However, the Nutella tiramisu that we ordered for dessert was incredible! I wish that we could have brought it back home with us. It was so delicious, and was one of the best things we ate during our week in Rome!

By far the best pizza we have ever had. The service was great and the glass of prosecco once we sat down was an amazing touch.

Excellent buffalo mozzarella for starter and pizza Pratolina. We were lucky to get a place without reservation, but it was really busy and a lot of tables were reserved.

This place is authentically a local Roman favourite but one that is very inclusive for visitors. This can be a sit down restaurant for outstanding pizza or be a fabulous takeaway. Don't expect American or Australian fusion pizza here. What you get is the real deal and its fantastic. I just tucked into a delicious zucchini flower pizza with mozzarella and anchovies. Yum! Washed down with a glass of Pinot Grigio for half of what I'd pay for the equivalent in Australia. Come here if you're in the neighbourhood but book ahead for a table.

Coming from NYC/Brooklyn, my husband and I consider ourselves pizza snobs... we know a good pie. Based on all of the other Yelp reviews I was certain I would love this pizza and I really wanted to... I really did. The place is filled with locals which I took as a good sign. Like most meals in Rome, the pizza prices were incredibly reasonable - I don't think either of our pies exceeded 10eur. Dough is a bit thicker, yet light and airy and very good.... off to a good start! I got the margherita and husband got one with sausage I think? Honestly, we just didn't love it. We were talking about it afterwards and decided that the ingredients and flavors, while basic, just didn't gel. The sauce didn't wow me. There was a lot of cheese and it was almost tough. The basil didn't really taste flavorful. We were disappointed b/c this place got such great reviews and I wanted to like it but alas... it was just OK. I can't complain though b/c it really was such a reasonably priced meal so not a problem. Wait staff was great. Service was prompt. Oh - and make reservations! otherwise you'll be eating at 10:30pm!

If you are looking for great Roman pizza, then this is the place. Some of the best pizza I have ever had.
