La Pulperia just opened recently, and it’s such a great addition to the neighborhood. The décor is super cute, the service is fantastic, and overall the food is very good. It is definitely a place worth trying and one I’d happily go back to.
We shared a variety of dishes: the bread with tomato “jelly” was a fun start, our friends loved the tuna dish, and Kris raved that the seafood paella was the best he’s had so far in NYC. The burrata salad was fresh and light, and the beef empanadas were tasty, though I personally would have liked more flavor in the filling (I didn’t see the traditional egg or olives inside).
What really made the night special was the hospitality. The manager/owner came by our table, spent time chatting with us, and even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday. That personal touch made the whole experience feel extra memorable, and I truly left with a smile.
Overall, La Pulperia is off to a very strong start. They offer great service, charming ambiance, and good food. I’m excited to see it grow and will definitely be back!
