Pulpería Latin Mediterranean Kitchen - Review - Hell's Kitchen - New York - The Infatuation

"Pulpería, known for its drag brunches, is back in Hell’s Kitchen, a few blocks north from the original location. It’s the same team, but now called Pulpería Latin Mediterranean Kitchen, so you can expect seafood from several different cuisines. They also have two paellas—one with seafood, and the other with seared picaña and oyster mushrooms. It’s on 46th Street’s restaurant row, and they’ll offer a pre-theater prix fixe. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists. RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE" - Will Hartman

Best restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, no this is not an exaggeration as a Hell’s Kitchen native. The drinks and the food are exquisite beyond measure in a way I have not found in most other restaurants in the area. These were all beyond reason in how well crafted they were. But the true star was the paella, my partner is Spanish and this was the best paella he has ever had. It is phenomenal. I usually disregard reviews where a person mentions the “best” of anything, but we choose this location because we had already had one of the best margaritas of our life. No filler or mixer, true rustic explosion of depth. But when we came for dinner we left a different level of satisfied. Most other paella restaurants in manhattan are so “skimpy” in the quality. Take a look at my pictures, the paella is doused in high quality seafood. Not an inch of room wasted. This has been my best meal in hells kitchen in 5 years. You have to try it. The service was so good as well. Everything phenomenal.

Amazing place. Only open for a month and a half. Had a birthday for two friends. Amazing service. The paella was good but the real star was the seafood stew. I highly recommend it as the rice was fluffy and the seafood was cooked to perfection. Get the tuna with tomato as your appetizer. Octopus was also cooked well. Shout out to Jose who made it a special night for my friends

I would like to talk about how incredible this restaurant was from start to finish! The hummus starter was amazing, the tuna starter was just as impressive, and the prawns were cooked to absolute perfection. I would definitely recommend trying the steak – it was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life! And the cocktails… wow. Each one was crafted beautifully and packed with flavor. The paella was another highlight – rich, authentic, and perfectly cooked. The staff were outstanding – so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the menu and even described the cooking methods, which really added to the experience. I flew in from England to New York for the first time, and this was the best restaurant I went to during my entire trip. Absolutely unforgettable – I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

The food here was excellent. The empanadas had a perfect pastry crust on it. This is a place that could easily at least be a bib gourmoud with how good the taste is. The cocktails were perfect too and it hard to fine a place that serves both good food and good cocktails. I would recommend anyone to try this place. The menu is not that expensive either.

My husband brought me here by surprise to celebrate my birthday. The server was amazing and very attentive — She even asked if we were going to catch a show to be on top of our dinner. The food came at a perfect time and it was delicious. Honestly, the hardest thing was choosing what to order because every item on the menu was intriguing. We order the seared tuna taquitos and Paella Picaña — highly recommend. We will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic! Everything here was on point, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Victor and Carla went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The paella was not only delicious but carried that warm, heart-felt Latino touch that makes you feel right at home. And please, please try the Sangria, I don’t think I’ve had anything better anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional! If you’re looking for great flavors, genuine hospitality, and a place that makes you want to come back again and again, this is it!

La Pulperia just opened recently, and it’s such a great addition to the neighborhood. The décor is super cute, the service is fantastic, and overall the food is very good. It is definitely a place worth trying and one I’d happily go back to. We shared a variety of dishes: the bread with tomato “jelly” was a fun start, our friends loved the tuna dish, and Kris raved that the seafood paella was the best he’s had so far in NYC. The burrata salad was fresh and light, and the beef empanadas were tasty, though I personally would have liked more flavor in the filling (I didn’t see the traditional egg or olives inside). What really made the night special was the hospitality. The manager/owner came by our table, spent time chatting with us, and even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday. That personal touch made the whole experience feel extra memorable, and I truly left with a smile. Overall, La Pulperia is off to a very strong start. They offer great service, charming ambiance, and good food. I’m excited to see it grow and will definitely be back!

Delightful atmosphere and super friendly staff. I had the poke tuna taquitos and the half Murray roast chicken with poblano mashed potatoes. Everything was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Also, maybe the best broccolini I’ve had. Paired with a white Malbec, something I didn’t know existed, made for a lovely meal on quick NYC trip.
