Puntulina Restaurant, Rovinj

Réserve in advance. Romantic table are the best, lower level by the sea. Sunset is around 8:30 in the summer. Great service, food was generous, I don’t understand the people who say it’s small servings! Great service. Good wine list.

This was by far my favorite restaurant during our stay in Rovinj – I honestly can’t wait to come back! The location is absolutely stunning, with an incredible view and a peaceful, romantic atmosphere. The staff were very kind and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had the tortellini with ricotta and truffles – honestly, I’ve never had them this good anywhere else! We also ordered the fish, which was fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed a classic tiramisu, and I’m attaching a photo I took – it looked beautiful and tasted even better. It’s true that the restaurant is on the pricier side, but for the view, the quality of the food, and the overall experience, it’s definitely worth it. A perfect spot for a special evening in Rovinj!

Lovely restaurant at the edge of Rovinj old town. Has seating at different levels. I preferred to sit down at the bottom level, which is pretty much between rocks with cushions to make seating comfortable. The view of Adriatic from that edge is phenomenal :) The staff is warm and was very helpful in selecting the wine based on my taste preference. Do go here if you are looking for a great view. Dinner around sunset would be the best :)

Romantic spot! Excellent food, one of the pricier places but they do have the perfect view so it’s understandable. The details of the design is very cute. We got a bit surprised about the service fee, the waitress didn’t mention anything about it. We were splitting the bill between us friends and it got just a bit awkward situation as we didn’t get informed and it looked like we were going without paying

Beautiful restaurant by the sea, with amazing views. The food was good, but not a wide selection. Nice service. Coperto is 4 euros (I don’t remember I’ve ever paid this much, in Italy it’s usually around 2 euros), and water, that we didn’t ask for, but they offered at the beginning, was 7 euros.

We had outdoor seating with good view. Beef carpaccio was good. Beef was cold. Truffle pasta was a big disappointment. Pasta was not al dente and the pasta taste is very off. Not sure why the pasta did not taste good. I think Barilla tastes better. Ribeye steak has grill Leak and I don’t think it goes well with steak. There is €4/person cover charge

We came here for lunch. We were seated on the lower terrace right by the sea, a beautiful place but it was quite windy but they had no problem moving us to the other side. We had a fish fillet, meat and our daughter had spaghetti which was not in the menu but they offered us some. Everything was excellent, wonderfully seasoned, very tasty. The service was amazing, the table was ready, we also got a delicious starter. The prices were higher, but the food and the view were worth it!

Huge disappointment. Service was ok. Young girl that came first to serve us didn’t know anything about the food on the menu (what is included in two most popular dishes that she/restaurants recommend). We had to repeat several times what we want to eat, cause she wasn’t listening. But when food started to come, it was a different waiter. Soup was delicious. But then came my main dish - Squid served Rovinj way, with hair in it. Which I noticed when half of portion was eaten. Long hair white or gold (cause of sauce wasn’t that sure). Waiter offered different dish, I didn’t want any. He apologized, removed dish from the recipe, but restaurant didn’t offered anything else. Completely understand that they are understaffed, but don’t understand that there’s no management that will come and apologize in any way due to discussing situation. Was my favorite place in Rovinj, for years, but not anymore. Wish them luck and hope they’ll go back to their quality. Cause those prices (15€ for daily soup, cheapest dish on the menu) and this quality of service and food are perfect reasons to avoid this place.
