Visited here for the first time today, which happened to be their opening day. I strolled through the outdoor patio (which will be awesome when the weather doesn't feel like it's 7" from the mid-day sun), and once inside, was struck by the open, contemporary feel for the place. It's a little on the smallish side inside, but they are making the most of their space with a gorgeous, long, curved, dark-wooden table that stretches across the wall opposite the bar. I didn't count, but you could probably fit 20 people along that table, maybe more.
It was their first day, but the staff seemed pretty well trained, and excited to be there. Craig, the manager, introduced himself, and told me a little about some of the things they have planned -- i.e., a happy hour -- which would be nice, since the pricing does run a little on the high side. I had two pints: a hazy IPA on one of their guest taps, and their own "One Eleven Pale Ale" -- for a total cost of $15. I suppose they are in the "high-rent district" now, what with all the new highfalutin shops and boutiques opening up in the area.
They don't have any food here, but they do have arrangements with neighboring restaurants (a small 9" cheese pizza from NYPD for $6!), which is cool.
I am a lover of most things beer (you can see what I think of Bud Light in my photos), so this is a place I can definitely see myself stopping into from time to time when I'm in the Village -- and since they have a few wine offerings as well, it will be easy to convince the wife to come along too.
