Room was terrible. Staff didn't care at all place was a mess homeless people in and out getting coffee. No room service had to get your own towels. Breakfast was bland and frozen half the time. Don't recommend going here

Every hotel should have a staff like they have here. They were awesome! Helpful, friendly and 1000% fabulous! The room was spotless. My only complaint would be was the room was a little cluttered. Breakfast was delicious! Thanks for making my stay fantastic?

I had a terrible stay for two nights. There is no on-site parking; there were only a few spots right outside the hotel to unload, and the recommended parking lot was a few blocks away. Lots of construction and shady people were in between, making for an uncomfortable walk, especially after dark. The wifi didn’t work for most of the stay and we couldn’t get our room keys issued to us because of this. Reception had to manually let everyone into their rooms all night. I am a patient person but it was terrible having to wait 10-20 minutes for reception to be available let me into my room every time I left. The second night, we did get our room key made but then it stopped working and it took reception a long time to verify which room I was in and give me another key. Very inconvenient. The front doors of the hotel had a sign saying that a room key was required for entry after 11pm but they key-locked doors as early as 6pm. How are people supposed to check into the hotel in the evening if they can’t enter without a key? My least favorite part was that electrical work was being done in the ceiling in front of the entrance as we checked in and exposed electrical wiring dangled at eye-level. The free breakfast was okay and the room was okay, but I really disliked my stay here and strongly advise staying somewhere else if you can help it.

This is a very nice hotel that is conveniently located within walking distance of many Dallas sights, tours and museums. We arrived to the hotel early morning and was surprised they had a room ready for us. The staff that we interfaced with at check-in and check-out were very friendly. The rooms are small, but very nicely decorated with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are updated, very hot water, and good water pressure in the shower. Our room had a microwave and mini-fridge which was an added bonus. The breakfast was excellent! I looked forward to the waffles daily. I visited the lobby bar for happy hour one day and was not disappointed. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is because the rooms are kind of small and the elevators were slow.

My stay at this hotel was ok.. First off the parking and unloading zone is honestly pretty terrible. There are limited spots in front of the building that are only available for 15 mins at a time. There are two remote parking lots for this hotel, One that requires you to pay every time you leave and the other you can pay and come and go as you please. This parking lot does not come without problems as it's right across from a bus station, and while I didn't have any issues it could be a potential safety issues especially being with how far it is from the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with kids or a family. It's roughly a 6-10 block walk from the parking lot to the hotel. I would also like to mention that if you have a car that is lowered don't stay here; no matter how you angle prepare to scrape every single time. My last complaint is the lack of accountability. Unfortunately a few items were left behind, and I called the hotel after realizing it and was assured that I would receive some sort of feedback about the items... This never happened. I called the next day after checking out and was told by the person working the front desk that the manager of house keeping would be getting in contact with me about my missing items and at the time of this review I still have not heard from the establishment. I am highly disappointed in the loss of my items and would still like them returned if at all possible.

Prices and service were fine no complaints there but I do have to say that walking into our room on the 10th floor was a displeasing moment. The room had a little bit of a smell along with the bed sheets. The floors were dirty there was hair and dirt from previous stays, the bathroom was dirty specially the toilet seat and the shower, the sink counter had dust and stains all over it. I decided not to complain or say anything because I was only staying for one night but nonetheless it made me super uncomfortable not knowing how clean the entire room was specially the bed we were sleeping in.

Had multiple issues w/ this hotel. 1. Hotel has no parking garage.. only parking is on a lot three blocks away for $15 a day. 2. Room was way too small & narrow. 3. Elevator had issues 4. Lighting in hallways was nonexistent 5. They didn’t tell us about the deposit until we were checking in, it was nowhere in the specifications when we booked online. 6. Breakfast the was offered was a grab bag w/ a nasty fruit cup & small water bottle. 7. They didn’t tell us the room was haunted (room #1009, tenth floor) 8. Housekeeping never came, so we didn’t have clean towels or fresh sheets at all during our 3 night stay. 9. Water pressure in the shower was very low. - We will NEVER be staying at this hotel again.

We decided to take a last second trip to Dallas for the weekend and stay at a La Quinta since we tend to stay at them due to the fact we usually travel with our dogs. This time we didn't. We wanted to stay at the downtown location as it was closer to a brewpub we wanted to check out. Bottom line, during the phone reservation they never mentioned anything about parking being 3 blocks away. Luckily for us we got there so late that there was a parking spot close to the hotel that during the day is reserved for loading of which could result in getting the car towed away. However, by parking there we had to ensure we were moved by 7am Additionally, nothing was said during the reservation about a $50 deposit. Out of all our stays at La Quinta they have never charged a deposit, even with dogs. But at that point what was I supposed to do? Find another hotel? It was 6pm and we were tired from a long day of traveling etc. The hallways from the elevator to our room were dark and lit with LED ropes. Was very different/almost ominous. The room itself was nice. Kind of small for how much it costs, but I assume that is more due to the location in downtown. The personnel at the front desk were nice and helpful. Downstairs check-in area was very nice and looked to have a very nice bar/food area. Overall I would not recommend staying here. I would drive 5 miles away to a non-downtown La Quinta that would probably be more of what we are accustomed to.

Yelp
Late check out until 1 pm at no extra cost. Pillows stuffed with feathers. Crisp white blankets, sheets and towels, chic interior. Central location. And I had an amazing view from my room. Everything is overall great! My only complaint is that during coronavirus, they are understaffed. So the attendant downstairs has to do everything pretty much all by herself. Meaning I have to go downstairs to get my extra towels, food deliveries, soap and toilet paper. Also, they aren't serving hot breakfast... You know, the usual amazing buffet spread: waffles, eggs, sausage-- Now they have grab and go bags where you get a granola bar, juice box, etc...

Robert B.

Yelp
Super cramped room, like oddly so. You have to wonder why they even bothered to throw a chair in the corner when it is blocked by the bed. There was a sign stating that they "knew about the elevator shaking" issue. Then knowing about it and me riding in it are two different things. If it's cheap and you're not going to spend a lot of time in the hotel then I guess it's okay.

Edi S.

Yelp
Please Read ALL reviews and quicky decide NOT to stay here!!! Everything about the roaches, dirty bathrooms, dirty sheets is true. We stayed 3 DAY and they NEVER came over to change the sheets or provide clean towles. I almost slipped twice on 2 seperate treadmills that are not safe to use. The lobby smelled like Natural Gas / Propane and I quickly told the staff who pretty much ignored me. I had to call the Fire Department to show up. They quickly acknowledged that they smelled it. When I told the staff member that (Pink long finger nails) that i almost fell on the treadmill, he started laughing.... Smh. Please... dont stay her

Tanera J.

Yelp
Would give them zero stars if I could. Me and my partner stayed here last year after a Christmas party we attended downtown. We read the review before and already were aware that there was no parking at the hotel. The parking is a few blocks down and you have to walk all the way to the entrance. I didn't like this but already expected it so it is what it is. Parking was like $20 for the whole night. When we arrived the lobby was ok but there were lots of random ppl just sitting outside the hotel. The elevators were very old and slow and seemed unsafe. Once we got to our floor the whole level smelled like smoke. The rooms are extremely small. Our comforter had blood and burn holes in it.. we had to go down to get replacements but just overall didn't feel comfortable in the bed. Ended up waking up after sleeping for 3 hours and leaving because it was horrible. The owner was aware of everything once we left and did reimburse for the stay. We appreciate that but this place just really needs to be shut down or completely revamped.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Super small rooms, with the hallways very narrow, room was decent for the price, but the overall exterior and interior seemed to be a bit run down and in need of work..

Cali L.

Yelp
By Far, THE NASTIEST HOTEL ROOM I've EVER BOOKED!! The room was small and cramped. Dark as hell.. only to hide the fact that they didn't clean up.. The room was DUSTY! There were BODILY FLUIDS ON THE SHEETS AND WALLS !!!!!!!!! Hair in the shower ! Spills in the refrigerator! Worst experience ever!!! The lobby is pretty but the customer service was TRASH!

Nicholas S.

Yelp
The good thing about this hotel is that it is very centralized downtown, right next to the John F. Kennedy Museum and Reunion Tower to be exact! It being so close to everything is what attracted me at first. Second they have a fairly new hip vibe going on so the presentation is great! Now for the "Cons" when i first arrived later on in the day I pulled up to the hotel and circled it 3 times trying to find a location to park after finding no where to park at I had to park in the Valet section in the very front and go inside to ask. I come to find out the hotel had no designated parking area so you either have to pay valet or pay to park on the side of the streets if you can find one or pay to park in a parking lot a couple blocks away leaving you to walk with all your belongings. Like I said earlier the presentation of the hotel is very nice and that extends to the rooms but you can tell they put upgrades to an older building because the walls are very thin and you can hear practically every little noise in the hallways and rooms next door. So overall Good location Nice interior design Bad parking system Noisy rooms and hallways

Yelp
Do not stay here! This hotel has no parking! The parking is four blocks away at 806 Jackson St.! With a bum knee it was a dreadful walk. I tried to cancel my reservation but the soft spoken desk clerk and the heavy accent hotel manager, (both wearing Covid mask, behind a plexiglass barricade, standing over 6 feet away refused to assist me). The hotel was a drab, cramped remodel, purple and navy blue paint. The room was so small. This was a hotel that reminds me of a "B" rated movie set just waiting for pimps, hookers and hitmen to step out int to the hallway.

Shelly E.

Yelp
One star is too many!!! I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I have never seen anything so horrible! I was told that my first card would not process, only to realize that they charged me twice! It was so bad we didn't even stay. The website stated valet parking and the sign on the street confirmed it. However we were told the only parking available was self parking, 2 blocks away. Valet was not offered. The lot was unsafe and not secure, as we had homeless pounding on the car windows as soon as we pulled in. The room was so small you could not move around and the door didn't lock, as well as room next door looking like someone busted in. I can only hope I will be issued a refund for the ridiculous double charge.

Joey S.

Yelp
I don't usually review places but this is basically the worst hotel experience we've had in a decade. We checked in in the afternoon, quickly unpacked and went to a family thing, didn't get back to the hotel until after 10PM. My wife went to put some cans of soda in the fridge and there was a cockroach in there (alive at the time but dead in the morning). The next morning halfway through my shower I noticed a bunch of like maybe beard hair? Stuck all over the shower wall right next to my head. We went down to complain to the front desk and ask them to clean the room, as well as put in a maintenance request for the light in the bathroom that made a loud buzzing/whining noise when on. After another long day we got back to the room about 10PM again, roach was gone but shower was not clean. That morning my wife had taken her phone cord and left the plug part in the outlet. During the day housekeeping came in and put a glade plug in in the outlet and now her plug thing is gone. So 10:30pm we call the front desk and complain and they offer to give us a new room. We pack up all our stuff and go up to our new room and the first thing I did was go in the bathroom to check the shower. You guessed it, big curly hair stuck the shower wall along with a few smaller ones here and there. Yelp won't let me give zero stars so I have to give it one star to post a review.

Yelp
Good spot and good price but it came at a cost of inconvenience. There is no parking on site, there was no valet, and there was only one elevator working during our stay. Elevators were very small btw and took forever to service people. Also, our room for some reason had no AC. We had to ask the front desk worker to come in to check the system. Turned out it was unplugged from the socket behind the bed but we were nearly S.O.L. Bottom line, if you are going for a low rate and good location in downtown then this is a good place to stay, if you don't mind the inconvenience of walking to your car 3 blocks away and getting bothered by several homeless folks.

Housekeeping never came, so we didn't have clean towels, more toilet paper or fresh sheets at all during our 3 night stay. 9. Water pressure in the shower was very low. 10. AC stopped working & room got humid multiple times. - We will NEVER be staying at this hotel again.

Matheo U.

Yelp
Terrible place to stay I don't recommend anyone to sleep here The room is super tiny, the bed sheets don't even look like that have been changed, the toilet had pee stains on it being a clear sign that not even the toilet was clean. There isn't any parking so if you want a garage the closest one is a 12 minute walk. The AC sounds like a F-15 engine about to take off and it woke me up several times throughout out the night. It smells like smoke all throughout the hallways and there are pipes and exposed wires everywhere. They also only had one lady at the desk so it took forever to check in.

Dhruv W.

Yelp
Horrible! The gave me old bedsheets with dirt or something on it. The lady at the front desk had an attitude problem. Super bad customer service. They might give you a good price but trust me its not worth the inconvinicence you are going to face specially when you are traveling.

Fernando A.

Yelp
Yo fuck this hotel. $150 +50 deposit for a broken thermostat, an unadjustable AC, a broken TV remote, and a bathroom door that doesn't shut! It just slides and has a big gap. It made the night uncomfortable for me and my friend. The beds were nice and we slept great we could've gotten that anywhere else. I literally made this account just to write this review

Caren K.

Yelp
I would have given them one star but the staff was so friendly that bumped them up to two stars. They charge $35 a night for valet. I have no idea why because they just left my car parked on the street in front of the hotel instead of taking it to the garage. The room itself was pretty neat. It looks like an apartment building that they converted. The bathroom door didn't close properly however so my friend and I had to go downstairs to use the restroom. The worst part though was that the AC didn't work. Neither of us could sleep so we ended up leaving at 4am to go to our next destination on our trip. They also do not allow animals at this location unless they are a service dog. If I ever go back to Dallas I'll be looking for a different la quinta to stay at.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
The management doesn't care about guests or their staff! My boyfriend had booked a room for us to stay at, but unfortunately, I got conjunctivitis, which is very contagious. He let management know that I had it and asked for a refund, but they refused. We even had a doctor's note stating that I shouldn't be around other people, but the management said, they still didn't care and refused to refund the money. Had I stayed there, numerous guests and staff members most likely would've contracted it - and yet all management cared about was the money or lost income. Corporate greed at it's best - I would not stay here if you paid me! I wish I had the manager's name, I'd love for corporate headquarters to know the kind of people they have working for them.

Indiana M.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Downtown Dallas! I was a little worried becaise all the reviews I read were negative. However, I am extremely glad that I booked it either way. The hotel was beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. My room was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Paige the front desk agent was a delight to speak to and was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in the historic part of Dallas; West End. All the historic sites are a walking distances. No need for a car, the public transportation was quick and efficient. The Hotel offers a bar for Happy hour starring at 5pm with very affordable drink prices and delicious wings. I love the staff, everyone was extremely friendly. If I ever had any issues; which I only had one, the staff resolved it quickly. I am planning on returning to Dallas and will be staying here again. One of my favorite Hotels

W W.

Yelp
We stayed here this past weekend and I was bit by bedbugs. I called and the manager says he saw no evidence of them. I have the evidence on the back of my leg! Room 315. I told him that I thought he should treat the room, he said I was entitled to my opinion. Never will I even think about staying there again. I am posting a picture of by bed bug bites.

Mike S.

Yelp
Dingy, low lighted dark hallways. Small rooms more like a walk in closet. Accosted by the homeless in front of the hotel. Dumpster in front of entrance to the hotel. They are renovating but c'mon shut down and get it done before opening. Horrible water pressure, can barely shower. Left after one day and went to another hotel.

Anna L.

Yelp
I'm only giving it 2 stars because the bed was comfy lol. The parking sucks. There's no on-site parking and the nearest one was 2 blocks away so we had to carry our luggage in the rain and ended up having to pay $20 because the machine didn't give us a ticket. The room was small, there was a piece of food in the corner floor, I guess they didn't clean up that well and an awful cigarette smell randomly came in and out through the night when the rooms clearly say no smoking. I really don't recommend staying here mainly because of the parking issue. Also the A/C's controls weren't working so our room stayed cold, it wasn't too bad but it would've been nice to control the temperature.

Yelp
PLEASE READ!!!! I didn't stay at the hotel while under that name. Idk what it is like. I DO know that place is haunted. For you thrill seekers the tenth floor is hella haunted. Bad. Next day I got an email forward (when that was "cool") of haunted places in Texas. Guess what hotel was on that list.... A couple buddies came from out of town and decided to pick this hotel. I showed up late in the evening so staff, parking, amenities I have no idea about. But around 3am the fire alarm went off. I called down stairs to be told that a jokester pulled it. 15 mins later it goes off again. I call back to ask if I need to be running. 30 minutes later I would be. The alarm finally quits only to be followed by a young girl crying. Loudly crying like next to our door. So close I open the door thinking a small child would be there. As soon as I open the door the crying stops. This went on 3 more times I'd open that door and it would stop. As a brown fella, I am concerned. I call again down stairs and ask someone to wake up the parents. Their response? You guys are the only ones on the floor. I tied my shoes very tight, open the door, and sprinted down the hall. Running towards the elevator I knew my ass wasn't going to wait on that so I took the stairs. 10 flights. I burst through the door which was at the lobby startling the workers. They asked if everything was ok and I yelled outta breath that this place is f*cking haunted. Stay at your own risk. For all you thrill seekers it's the tenth floor. The right side door if you walk all the way down the hallway from the elevators. The first things that gave me pause is that the windows slightly opened. I mean we are ten floors up. I found out later a little girl fell from the tenth floor. I've also read that a 2 men were murdered on that floor. And a politician killed himself. And on the second story is a ghost in a tuxedo or suit. The foyer area they hear someone loudly walking, but nobody is there. Godspeed.

Roberto M.

Yelp
This Hotel was very bad! The employees were very disrespectful. The hotel had breakfast included and they did not had breakfast available. when I asked the front desk there response was it is what it is. I as for a refund and they laugh at me!

J W.

Yelp
Slow wifi and the room doors that auto close loudly. $25/ night parking. If they could fix any one of the three I would bump the rating up one star.

N P.

Yelp
**STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!**. There is NO parking for customers. The elevators rarerly work. The rooms are small and narrow. If you went to the bathroom you had to be sure someone was in the room to open the door from the others side. Otherworldly you'd be locked in there. There were blood stains on the sheets. They charged me for 2 rooms when I only booked one. They refunded me. Also they require a $50 deposit at check in. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hallways are dark. Not a good expert at all.

Brooke S.

Yelp
Terrible service and the staff doesn't care. They gave me and my boyfriend 2 twin beds instead of 1 bed. We asked to switch and they claimed they couldn't. Ridiculous. Walls are really thin so you can hear everything everyone is doing. Don't waste your money here.

Eldon T.

Yelp
I had a great stay at your hotel. I enjoyed talking to Cesar the valet attendent. He is a very sharp young man. Renee the night auditor was very informative. She told what the hotel had gone through the years. Having been raised in Dallas, she explained how this area had changed.  This hotel was in a perfect location. It was within walking distance of our conference. The breakfast saved us a lot money. It is walking distance from the Texas Book Depository and other attractions.

Katie T.

Yelp
I stayed the last two nights at the La Quinta Inn and mostly enjoyed my experience. I was extremely pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. It has newly been renovated and looks great. The rooms look modern with Texas sayings in them, the bathroom has a big shower with a heavy rolling door (which I loved), the complimentary shampoo and conditioner is Pantene, the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the pillows were so nice I went digging through the pillowcase to try to determine the brand to buy when I return home. I was very impressed. I had several pleasant experiences with the office staff and in the evenings, they offer free cookies around 5 pm. In the mornings, breakfast was awesome: scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, cereal, a cappuccino machine, and TEXAS-SHAPED WAFFLES. And it was complimentary! I really enjoyed my stay and raved about the beds and pillows to my friends and family. The hotel is also a great proximity to downtown, Dealey Plaza, the Red Museum, and Reunion Tower. It is also very close to a DART light rail station, which brings me to why I deducted a star... This hotel is about a two minute walk from the Union Station stop on the DART light rail, which is a very sketchy stop. When arriving to the hotel from the DART station, I felt very uncomfortable at night and called concierge to explain to me how to walk to the hotel and he just kept saying, "It's right across the street. It looks like a hotel. I don't know what to tell you." The east side of the building is extremely well marked with a huge "LA QUINTA INN" painted on the side, but the west side facing the DART station has no marking AT. ALL. to indicate that it is the La Quinta, which is very problematic if you have never visited before, especially at night. This made my first impression of the hotel very negative, which I reevaluated once I had calmed down from the dodgy train stop. If this had not occurred, I would easily have rated them 5 stars.

Shardae P.

Yelp
The hotel was ok but the front desk clerk Denotto was the reason I did not cancel my reservation. He was extremely thorough and went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with our stay.

Julia P.

Yelp
We booked our hotel here for the weekend when we walked in the staff members who was checking us in was rude. Once we got in to our hotel note the halls are very dark with little light. Once we got into our room the room was a bit small for a queen size bed the room is over priced for such a small room. The shower was dirty, there was sand under the sink, and the cabinets fell apart when you try to open them. Toilets will stop flushing you have to wait ten minutes to flush. The stay here was not cozy, don't believe I'm ever coming back. plus the location of the hotel doesn't seem very safe the parking lot (LOT NOT GARAGE) is about 2 blocks away you have to pay per day. Wouldn't come again.

Jerrilyn C.

Yelp
I will keep this sort and sweet... Pros 1. Clean towels 2. Room was clean Cons 1. No Parking-Hotel garage no longer available; will have to walk 1-3 blocks for parking 2. No Valet- Use to but not anymore 3. Overpriced Rooms- Rooms run small; not ideal for more than 2 people even for a king room 4. Thin Walls- can hear conversations in next room 5. Mediocre Staff at Best-When asked a question, she kept saying " they and them " as if she wasn't apart of the company instead of " us and we" , lacked ownership 6. Overpriced Snacks- Ask before purchasing; proving not listed on goods 7. Awful Smell on 4th Floor- Advises non smoking hotel however, hallway reeked of marijuana 8. Bathroom- Shower only option in king room- Not accommodating for those that may be disabled and unable to stand 9. Early Check In- None 10. Deposit- $50 you are not made aware of until you arrive 11. Credit Cards- Can only use cards that are chipped Recommendations 1. Rooms are worth only $80/night 2. Not for family vacations due to small rooms 3. Either offer guest parking in the garage or valet 4. Staff needs customer service training Thanks

Laquia G.

Yelp
The worst place I could have ever booked!!! Only stayed in the room I booked for 3 hours to go back home. Flight was for Monday February 22 in Dallas. I arrived to the hotel from Houston at 2am. Prior to coming I had accidentally booked the wrong date through Priceline and was told the only way they would refund my money was if I had rebooked the actual day I needed. I booked a two double bed room because it was a total of four of us. When rebooking I noticed it was only a king room which was more than the double bed room in price. I called and spoke with someone & was told not to worry since I had two reservations he would give me the double room in replace of the king I had booked. When I arrived at the front desk I confirmed what was told to me but instead of it being acknowledged I was called a liar and told that no one could've told me that. I was taken back by his statement and when I went into detail as to what happened the front desk staff stopped me in the midst of my statement and told me he had been there for four years and has never heard of a room upgrade over the phone. It wasn't a room upgrade it was specifically what was granted from a conversation and back and forth the day prior during booking hassles. He then tells me he didn't have double beds available which I know was a lie. He then calls me a liar again and proceeds to call someone on his cellphone asking did he tell me something of the sort but lied and didn't explain the story I gave correctly. When I yelled out you're not even telling the story correct he laughs in my face and ignored me. Because I was tired me and my 3 friends took what he told us was a king bed (we decided we would make it work). He put us in room 601 the room smelled, there was trash in the bathroom, something sticky on the desk, the bed was a queen not a king size bed and the room was soooo small we felt cramped in this little space. I gave the bed to my friends and I sat up in the chair until it was time to leave at 6am. He never gave me a receipt even after I asked he ignored me after giving me the room key. If I wasn't tired from driving 3.5 hours back from Houston I would've left and found somewhere else to stay but had paid prior to coming and they don't refund on cancellations. I am highly upset with his demeanor and lack of professionalism. I remained calm while he treated and talked to me less than a customer. I will never ever everrrrrr book here again!!!

Yelp
First impression was pulling up to absolutely no parking. Second impression was walking into the hotel to check in, homeless man digging in the trash right outside the door. Third, After checking in and going up to our room. We find hair in our bath towels. Hair stuck to the toilet. The floors weren't swept. There was a river of nastiness all in the bathroom floor. Floors definitely weren't cleaned. Pulled back the covers to check out the bed. Big brown stain right in the middle. Long black hair under the covers! Looks like the bed linens were never changed! Elevator buttons were all broken, and taped up with electrical tape! Floors in hallways were completely dirty! This place is AWFUL! Would not recommend this place to anyone! Glad I got my refund and went somewhere else! Shame I had to switch hotels late on NYE and were late to our dinner reservations because of this!

Yelp
As we looked up reviews and saw the pictures of the rooms, we figured being downtown this would be a great place to spend a weekend. The rooms are modern and resemble the photos, but... narrow. As in , hard to walk around the bed. There is a fridge that's in a cabinet, that has a door to conceal the fridge.. well it does not close due to the refrigerator hitting the cabinet door. The walls are really thin, as we walked down the hall we can hear full conversations if other guests. Same deal was in the room, we could loudly hear other guests. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is convenient to step out and venture off into downtown.

Yelp
Arrived late last night after spending the day at Baylor visiting someone in the hospital. Hotel is newly remodeled with very classy/boujee, sleek/modern decor. Sometimes the decor in the lobby is misleading but thats not the case with this place. The rooms are really nice and all modern and updated as well. Nice TV... refridgerator... coffee maker... Bathroom is MY FAVE! Toilet & Shower is so nice! Was so ready to rip the mirror off the wall and take it home! Loved it. Beds were super comfortable and clean. Room smelled nice and even included a desk area too. Honestly, the rooms aren't very big but thats to be expected for downtown. Cool views from the room too! Right near where JFK was shot. Would definitely return. But!! Since they do not have free parking, I would recommend using the street meters!

Yelp
I truly can not say enough about Denotto. We were moving my son from Colorado to NC 1st stop Dallas. I booked this reservation not realizing it was all public parking. We had a truck and trailer. Not easy to situate downtown and worrisome with all your belongings in a trailer. He knew we were tired and stressed bent over backwards to help us find a safe close spot. All this after trouble on the road resulting in very late check in (after 2 am). Clean and comfy rooms as well!

Yelp
Stephanie at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean. Perfect location close to Union Station to get to the Red River Rivalry. My only complaint is how thin the walls are! I understand it's an old hotel that has been renovated, but there must be some solution to the traveling sound through the walls!

Yelp
The hotel was very nicely remodeled, and the rooms were very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The free breakfast was very delicious. The only downfall is that the hallway is very noisy. You can hear people coming and going all night. I think that the parking should be included, and the $25 a night to park is excessive.

Yelp
Worst Stay Ever !!! Checked in July 13th two double beds the room looked clean so after a long trip I got into bed and knocked out. The following morning the house keeper with Red Hair young lady was RUDE and very UNPROFESSIONAL. On top of that it's COVID 19 going on and this lady was cleaning rooms without a mask nor gloves. Very careless and reckless!!! So later that night I get into the other bed to sleep in and I start smelling this foul odor I then got up pulled the blanket off to find PEE STAINS ON THE BED. Sheets were not washed !!! And who knows what else wasn't !! Definitely will never be staying here again.

Yelp
I never thought a valet service could make a hotel so bad, but they're the first and last people you deal with. Sign tell you to stop outside, but they don't man outside, so I ended up parking somewhere else then walking to the hotel, then find out they saw me out there waiting and just didn't come out. Their $25 overnight rate is actually a daily rate, so overnight costs over $50, not $25. This is something I found out at the end of my stay. Having (what I thought was) fully paid at the beginning of my stay, my car was held until I paid another $27. They also done this to the guy in front of me and behind me. Complete rip off.

Yelp
I am so disappointed withLa Quinta Inn & Suites Downtown Dallas a @WyndhamHotels property. Small spaces, very beat up, unfriendly, and simply a tired rundown property. Valet parking $20.00 and I find my vehicle parked on the street..... Find another location you will be disappointed here

Yelp
Pros: Nice staff, within walking distance to convention and some good reasonably priced eateries. Cons: One elevator works and other has been broke for 2 weeks, per employee. No sign indicating other not working. Can be a long wait. Rooms are small. Remodel has quite a few craftmenship issues and really no comp to the other hotels near. They tried, but failed. HVAC system does not work well with the new thermostats. Had on OFF, but yet kept running on "Auto" cool. Breakfast is only for looks. Cream in pump was old, orange juice from machine was acidy, which meant old. Oatmeal taste like was made with old water. Good restaurant, Cindy's around corner if cannot stomach the breakfast here.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel when we flew in to see a Cowboys game. The room was small but we thought very cozy. Nice and warm on cold rainy nights. Staff was great. Special shout out to Renee and Eric and the young men running the valet stand. Always got our car in a few minutes. One recommendation- 2ply toilet paper would be nice.

Yelp
I paid for a king size room w views and got none of the above. The bathroom was very small and so was the room! Their was no complimentary water or toothpaste. No room service as well. Valet was $25 a night. You have to get valet because there is no other parking area or garage for this hotel. We got valet and just Uber everywhere we wanted to go.

Yelp
This is probably one of the worst stays at a Wyndham property. 1st, I reserved a king deluxe with a pull out couch, get in the room and there's just a bed. 2nd we finally get a different room after being UPCHARGED!!! Then there are no sheets or pillows for the pull out!!! I call at 9:20pm to ask for some and am told there are some in the drawers and I assure Amanda that there aren't any. She says she'll bring me some, it's now 10:40pm and I'm now down in the lobby trying to figure out where the sheets and pillows are. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Yelp
I'm only giving them 3 stars because the room was dim , no overhead light. The room was small which we knew going in. No parking, valet parking was $25 a night. One elevator was broken. No one with the hotel said anything about it and no sign indicating it was not working. The one elevator that was working was slow and very small. On a plus it's only 2 short blocks from Dealy Plaza , and a short walk to the Dart train station.

Yelp
What a crappy place to stay. Not that it is the management's fault that there is a domestic disturbance going on across the hall, but I would expect that you would do something about it when it is called in. Especially when checking out when mentioned to the desk attendant no acknowledgement no apologies just a blank stare that communicates "I don't give a rip". I suppose that sums up our guest experience. Breakfast was standard hotel with waffles, eggs, biscuit, gravy etc. room comfortable enough, just no consideration to the guests wanting a quiet stay.

Yelp
This place was awesome for the price! $125 for a hotel dt Dallas. It was nice and clean really good looking. The room was a decent size but a nice room and the bed was one of the best beds I've slept in. The decoration was so up to date. The restroom had a nice mirror so it was nice doing my makeup with good light. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, I will stay here next time I visit Dallas again.

Yelp
Good location and free breakfast. You can see the spot where Lee Harvey Oswald shot from from some of the rooms. The rooms are pretty small which doesn't really bother me however the cleanliness is not up to par. The carpets are stained, the walls are scratched, the shower had some hairs in it- the entire building is in need of some TLC. The alarm was set in my room for 6am so be sure to check your clock (if you have one). There's a bar downstairs but the bartender looks like he'd rather be anywhere but there.
