The New Stars of The MICHELIN Guide Italy 2026

"Leading the way is La Rei Natura by Michelangelo Mammoliti , which achieves the highly coveted milestone of Three MICHELIN Stars . In Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, the restaurant channels nature, memory and innovation into a singular sensory experience deeply anchored in its terrain. Perusing its Mad100 % Natura tasting menu at the panoramic counter feels like stepping into a living landscape. Its concept — described by the chef as the purest expression of his cooking — is rooted entirely in the natural world: The vegetable garden and greenhouse dictate when ingredients are ready, and their rhythms ultimately shape each dish. That philosophy hangs in the air, scented with herbal notes and damp earth from the biodynamic garden just beyond the glass. The lentil and eel cannolo is one of many standout dishes: a delicate shell that fractures gently on the tongue, revealing a supple, mineral-bright filling lifted by a thread of dill that recalls the meadows outside." - The MICHELIN Guide

"At this restaurant, the young yet already experienced Piedmontese chef (who also has Calabrian origins) offers three tasting menus. Dishes are also available à la carte style on two of these – “ Emozioni” (which features creative dishes inspired by childhood memories and flavours) and “Voyage” (ingredients, recipes and influences from the chef’s experience working around the world, including a delicious mango and coconut dessert). The third, Mad100% Natura, is a blind tasting menu on which the chef demonstrates his love and passion for his ingredients with real creativity. Most of his vegetables are sourced from local biodynamic gardens and greenhouses. On our last visit, we particularly enjoyed the courgettes “alla beccafico”, spaghetti with tomato sauce in honour of Nonna Tita, and the vegetable pizza served as a dessert. The high quality of the cuisine is equalled by the impressive selection of wines." - Michelin Inspector

MICHELIN Guide Italy 2024 is unveiled today!

"Amid the picturesque Langhe at Il Boscareto, Michelangelo Mammoliti resumed a personal journey through nostalgic cuisine allied with the plant world and enlivened by more exotic inspirations, earning two MICHELIN Stars just months after opening. The lamb parmigiana surprised the inspectors—creative and delicious, with a savory, aromatic jus." - MICHELIN Guide

The space is very elegant, the service - very professional, and the presentation - simply beautiful. Yet, most of the dishes were simply not tasty, and the price tab - very very steep. We dined the next day at the single Michelin star Acqua - outside Milan, where we paid less than half and enjoyed the food twice as much as we did at La Rei Natura. Read carefully the reviews - I wish I had.

Amazing tasting experience! The food was exceptional. The service was above and beyond. The chef was in the house and we met him and he was very kind. Great evening for our group.

One of the most unforgettable dinners I’ve ever experienced. Chef Michelangelo’s talent shines through in every dish. 13 courses, each one a masterpiece. The wine pairings were spot on, thanks to the knowledgeable recommendations from the staff.

We had high hopes for the newest 2 Michelin star in the Piemonte region. Overall It was a mixed experience and hard to recommend due to extraordinary high prices and excessive extra charges. The meal was uniformly delicious and pleasantly explored the regions vegetables as well as other treats. We opted for the Surprise menu which at €350 rightfully came with high expectations. Overall it was satisfying and the 12 or so courses delicious but none of them justified the fare. Maybe one of the less expensive menus might have been a better choice but we wanted to try the chef at his best. See photos for examples of the courses presented. The lack of luxury ingredients also contributed to the lower rating. Additionally, the wine list was marked up at roughly double other places in the area including those with similar credentials. It was not a particularly deep or exciting list and hard to find something great that was below €200. Service was outstanding in every way and was the high point of the night. The room is pleasant but feels like a hotel lobby (which it sort of is). The first snacks are served in an overly bright lounge and very low uncomfortable seats. Finally, the extra charges were excessive including €30 for a grappa without disclosing the price first. It left a bad feeling with our group and unfortunately it’s the rare place we cannot recommend.

Simply amazing. it was my first two stars experience so my review can’t be compered to other Michelin’s restaurants but I was together with a friend that have had and he said that Mammoliti is the best so far. I was really impressed about the details of the food preparation. Price is on line with the massive study and development that is behind the dishes proposed.

Beautiful location. Impeccable organization and service even though it feels more that the knowledgeable staff is there to run an efficient business than genuinely caring for guests. Food is particular but salty and a bit heavy on the stomach. We opted for the 3 truffle menu and the truffle (very expensive) did not smell as much as in simpler local places.

Il Boscareto Resort & Spa is a dreamy escape. With sweeping vineyard views, elegant modern design, and standout service, it strikes the perfect balance between luxury and authenticity. Don’t miss a meal at La Rei Natura or a relaxing afternoon in the spa. A must for wine lovers and refined travelers alike. 🍷✨

I was expecting great things from a 2star Michelin restaurant. The food was good but no real flavor. Nothing was to exciting and really felt safe. I get more from many bistros around region. My husband and I were both disappointed with the food but impressed by the wait staff.
