This was our best dinner in Paris. The salad was great and a huge portion. The escargot were delicious. The NY strip steak was cooked medium rare to perfection. It was absolutely the highest quality we had in Paris. The decor was beautiful. The ambience was so nice. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert and a drink in the lower level speak easy. Even the bathroom was beautiful.

I was recently in Paris and, as a big foodie, I typically like to try as many different restaurants as possible. But La Renommée was so good, I ended up coming back twice for dinner in just a few days! Every dish I tried was fantastic—especially the seasonal strawberries, perfectly cooked haricots verts, and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The upstairs dining room is elegant and welcoming, and the downstairs speakeasy adds a fun, moody twist to the overall vibe. What really stood out, though, was the staff. The women working at the front of the restaurant were incredibly kind, warm, and accommodating—even going out of their way to be patient with my very average French. Their hospitality made the experience even more memorable. La Renommée is a gem. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in Paris!

One of my fav steakhouses. The rabbit pasta is one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, bread was paired with the most delicious and perfectly salted butter, and the dry aged steak was so flavorful and still very tender. Loved everything and vibe was definitely impeccable, also service was great

Beautiful setting, but underwhelming overall We were drawn to this spot by all the glowing videos and recommendations online, and while the interior is undeniably beautiful-especially the speakeasy downstairs-the overall experience didn’t live up to the hype. The escargots were fantastic, and finishing the evening with dessert in the speakeasy was a real highlight. But beyond that, things fell short. The rabbit pasta was heavy and lacked depth of flavor. Oddly, we saw a lot of burgers being served, even though they weren’t listed on the menu. Service felt inattentive. I had to ask for water multiple times, and overall it just lacked the warmth or attentiveness you'd expect at this price point. It felt more like a place designed for Instagram than a serious dining experience. Beautiful to look at, but for us, it didn’t quite deliver on substance.

LA RENOMMÉE is an elegant restaurant that requires advance reservation due to its popularity. The overall experience was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and the staff were professional and friendly. The food was delicious and definitely worth trying. We started with a green salad (Salade verte) which was fresh and tasty, and also ordered Lambert oysters “La Fine de Claire”, which were fresh and flavorful. For the main courses, we had the peppercorn filet (Filet aux poivres), which was tender and perfectly cooked, the sole fish (Sole) that was light and rich in flavor, linguine, which had a nicely balanced taste, and a simple but tasty cheeseburger. For the sides, we had French fries (Frites), mashed potatoes (Purée), and baby potatoes (Pommes Grenailles) — all of them were delicious and complemented the main dishes well. For dessert, we ordered crème caramel, chocolate mousse, and ice cream — all light and a great way to end the meal. The prices were very reasonable given the high quality of the food and service. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially for those who enjoy classic French cuisine.

The team from 4Charles done did it again. This spot is a winner. Service is top notch, the place has a classic bistro atmosphere, and the food was incredible. Our steak was perfectly cooked, the rabbit pasta was decadent, the green beans were like none I’d ever had, and the fries were hitting. It was all great. We went to the downstairs lounge for dessert which was lovely, we got the mousse and it was delicious. We had an early reservation due to some plans afterward so the downstairs wasn’t hopping YET, but I could tell it would be a fun place to grab a drink and eat some dessert post meal. This place feels like it serves an audience that is traveling to Paris looking for a perfectly executed French meal - and it delivers on that. Would recommend for that exact experience.

Really cozy and unique ambiance with a dark interior and lots of art. We were able to snag a late reservation by getting on the waitlist and acting fast on their emails. Staff is generally really friendly and service was good. We enjoyed our experience overall. We got both types of oysters, steak tartare, snails and the famous burger (it wasn’t on the menu but available). We also had a few cocktails. The steak tartare was good, though not the best in the city. Burgers and escargots were solid. We also really liked French 75 cocktails — some of the best we’ve had! The only disappointment was the oysters…and not due to the quality. We tried both varieties and both were fresh and fantastic tasting. We were only disappointed that they were not shucked properly. At this price point of around 5 euro per oyster, there should be no shell pieces but every single one had them (it can also be dangerous as they’re sharp!). Also almost every diner in the room was American…made us wonder if any locals visit this spot at all ;)

Truly a special Parisian restaurant. The ambiance is excellent, the food is incredible and the decor takes you back in time. We were told the burger is a must (yes I know, a burger in Paris?)… but my gosh, it was excellent and truly a must. The beef tartar and the goat cheese salad also deserves a mention. We will certainly come back here again, especially with a post dinner night cap available in the basement speakeasy bar. Perfect place to for a whole night of Parisian magic.
