La Réserve de Nice

Came here for dinner—our party got a table overlooking the water with a beautiful view. Overall, food was fairly good. Would recommend the Roasted Sea Bass Filet, Salers Beef, Cannelloni Riviera and The Dublin Bay Prawn. The a la carte menu is quite limited so there aren’t many food options and portions are on the small side. For desserts, the Raspberry Soufflé and Summer on the Beach were okay. Portions are on the small side here and prices are a bit high in proportion to quantity. Drinks wise, they have a bar but there was no bartender so only “basic” cocktails or champagne/wine was possible.

STUNNING VIEWS and excellent bar menu on the rooftop! Make a reservation because the space isn't large, and it's a terrific spot for a cocktail before dinner or for just cocktails and snacks. My husband and I enjoyed awesome gin and tonics and a yummy grilled cheese panini. There were many good choices on the menu-- not your typical bar chips and nuts. Classy atmosphere and friendly staff who spoke English too. You could drink and linger for a while. We took an Uberso can't comment on parking.

The tall head host is a lovely gentleman. The other staff members were terrific as well. The food is sophisticated and haute and delicious. This was my first time at a fine dinning establishment. Everything was beautiful, especially the view. Too bad the weather ruined it. But the atomosphere was perfect. Highly recommend.

We make it a point to visit La Reserve each time that we are in Nice. The staff is always very pleasant and accommodating, especially with our French not being that great. The quality and presentation of each course is well worth the price. It is obvious that the chef(s) is quite talented and the flavors of each dish from entree to dessert are magnificent. We look forward to our return to Nice and once again dining at La Reserve.

Our first time visiting Nice, so La Réserve was a bit of a shot in the dark booking but it really paid off. Scheduled a sunset viewing time and the scenery was magnificent . The food was even better. We were nearing the end of two week vacation mostly in Italy where the food was fantastic. This was our best dinner of the whole trip. The fish just melted in my mouth and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her beef. We unfortunately didn’t take our waiters advice to preorder the cherry dessert but the other two options made up for any disappointment. Can’t recommend La Réserve any higher.

Overall very disappointing for the price. We asked for vegetarian hors d'oeuvres option but were literally told “oh no, sorry for you” by the head waiter. The king prawn appetiser and vegetarian set menu was great, but otherwise the food was very disappointing, especially the maritime excursion. I wouldn’t recommend La Reserve to anyone, especially not for this price. The best part by far was the view.

Based on excellent reviews on Yelp and Google , we were excited and expectations were high - the whole experience turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the month long European vacation. The staff was off... very very off .. I have received better service at the overly touristy places ... we ordered a bottle of champagne to start with , the first glass was poured and the bottle was taken away .. once we finished the glass , we were sitting with EMPTY glasses for at least 15 -20 min! Having the bottle next to us , we would pour the champagne ourselves, however the bottle was nowhere to be found. So was the staff .. Restaurant at this point was empty , there was one more couple on the balcony. It seemed as we had 3-4 people serving our table but none had the clue what the other did. Had to ask for our bottle and the server had no idea we even ordered one and went searching for it. This experience repeated ... so strange. Ask me which dish was memorable - I could not tell you.. looking back at the photos - everything was fine , but not great and not worth the price we paid at the end , and definitely not worth all the praises. The view is nice, of course , but the place next to it seemed more fun with the same view really. Disappointed!

La Réserve was one of the best culinary discoveries in Nice - from the breathtaking sunset/water views to the vibrant edible artistry, it was an absolute pleasure. While in Nice for work, some colleagues of mine and I were able to secure a last-minute reservation with gorgeous views overlooking the water. We each chose the coursed meal for 88euro that didn't disappoint! Each dish was carefully presented in a masterfully creative way that almost made me feel guilty for 'destroying' it. But, I'm glad I did! The starter was Pressé of foie gras scented with fig, beetroot millefeuille and port & fig coulis, with pickles. The main was the fresh catch of the day with zucchini and crusty flower, caramelized onion and ginger. The dessert was Lemon and red berries - Grenache scented with lime, red berries clafoutis, bergamote orange sorbet, crumble and fresh fruit Each dish was delightful and delicious to the palette, stand alone or when paired with wine. I highly recommend La Réserve if I'm Nice, France. You won't be disappointed!

Locals said this was the best place to catch a sunset while experiencing the best casual dining in Nice. I did not expect cheap food and poor service, and I was not disappointed with the 7 course Chef's tasting, the little petite four appetizers or the candies in the finale. Glad I had not eaten all day, but still happily surrendered the table. Still had to plead with service to receive a check. Now I'm positive: until you make it an issue, then they will not budge. I probably could have slept under the table.

Despite going with picky friends who asked immediately if the choirizu could be removed from the risotto base of our fish, the restaurant rose magnificently to the occasion and pandered to their every whim. The prix-fixe lunch menu at Eur 29 gave little choice but was perfect in every way. Despite advertising only two courses, a delicious soup appeared that set the scene for a flawless meal in smart, sun-filled surroundings with an incomporable view of the sea and the entrance to the port. One of my favourite rose wines - Chateau de Roquefeuille - added to the enjoyment. We ate in the 'bistro' on the ground floor, but there is little advantage in venturing upstairs to the main restaurant except the joy of having a greater choice and a much larger bill. I can't recommend La Reserve too highly - it's perfectly positioned, excellently executed and charmingly served. And they will even park your car for you.

If you like to have a nice light lunch of fresh and healthy food such as fish and vegetables and dive into the blue, this is a good place to eat. The menu consists of Mediterranean and cuisine well prepared by a chef coming from Scandinavia.
