La Réserve de Nice

The tall head host is a lovely gentleman. The other staff members were terrific as well. The food is sophisticated and haute and delicious. This was my first time at a fine dinning establishment. Everything was beautiful, especially the view. Too bad the weather ruined it. But the atomosphere was perfect. Highly recommend.

La Réserve de Nice offers a stunning experience with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Refined French cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood, beautifully presented and full of flavour. While the prices are quite high, the quality of food and setting justify the cost.

Our first time visiting Nice, so La Réserve was a bit of a shot in the dark booking but it really paid off. Scheduled a sunset viewing time and the scenery was magnificent . The food was even better. We were nearing the end of two week vacation mostly in Italy where the food was fantastic. This was our best dinner of the whole trip. The fish just melted in my mouth and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her beef. We unfortunately didn’t take our waiters advice to preorder the cherry dessert but the other two options made up for any disappointment. Can’t recommend La Réserve any higher.

Wow really disappointed with my experience here. After other great and much more affordable dining experiences in Nice, I had high expectations of this place. Unfortunately, we had our worst dinner on our trip here. The service was deplorable- I think they checked on us only once, the serving sizes were laughably small, and none of our plates had any significant flavor, and some of our meat that we ordered was overcooked. I know this is a bit picky but the restaurant aesthetic itself was very outdated and a bit tacky (looks better in photos online than in person). The only positive here is that the views are beautiful! Take your money elsewhere!!

Loved it! The reason this is a 4-star vs a 5-star review is that the dessert I chose, a chocolate mousse, wasn't available because "we ran out of chocolate". Given that we had the earliest in the evening reservation available, that excuse wasn't really applicable, short of a larger supply chain issue.

Overall very disappointing for the price. We asked for vegetarian hors d'oeuvres option but were literally told “oh no, sorry for you” by the head waiter. The king prawn appetiser and vegetarian set menu was great, but otherwise the food was very disappointing, especially the maritime excursion. I wouldn’t recommend La Reserve to anyone, especially not for this price. The best part by far was the view.

A VERY enjoyable lunch! We could fault nothing. The welcoming, and attentive staff, the food and service were excellent. And of course the view. We also appreciated the suggestions of the sommelier, who was helpful in choosing wines of the region. Highly recommend this for a special event. Thank you!

I'm a bit conflicted with La Reserve de Nice. Some of the dishes were amazing, but other dishes were so disappointing. I would best describe it as a roller coaster of experiences. We did the 4-course meal at 125-Euro per person. We all decided to get the King Prawn (5/5), Sweetbread cooked Meuniere (3/5), Maritime Excursion (2/5), and the Tiramisu (4/5) / Summer Freshness (3/5). At 125 PP, I expect better flavor / consistency from the dishes. My biggest gripe is with the main course, which was underwhelming to say the least. For the price you're paying, I would suggest seeking another restaurant. If this was half the price, then I could justify it. The views were very nice, and you're likely paying a premium because of that.
