"In taking over a stately 1854 Haussmann-style hôtel particulier (private mansion) in the well-heeled 8 th arrondissement, hotelier Michel Reybier sought to revive the high elegance of 19 th -century Paris and an era of grand travel. For this Paris outpost of his revered La Réserve property (the brand already has well-established institutions in Geneva and Ramatuelle, near St. Tropez), Reybier enlisted the talents of acclaimed interior designer Jacques Garcia, whose penchant for 19 th -century Napoleon III style dovetailed beautifully with Reybier’s vision for a quintessentially Parisian abode befitting the neighborhood. The hotel is complete with a library of antique books, acigar lounge, and a 52-foot indoor pool, all reserved exclusively for guests. The interiors are done up in gold leaf embellishments and silk taffeta drapery. Rooms feature Toto toilets, and private butlers are on call for late-night cravings. Even the newer design elements, like the black-and-white tiling on the ground level, are distressed to deliver the wonderfully worn-in sheen of an old family home. Guests are welcomed in the luxurious Louis XV reception lounge, with its crimson sofas crafted by Henryot, repurposed pieces of Versailles parquet, and antique wood furnishings. Two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Le Gabriel serves both lunch and dinner."
A typical Parisian hôtel particulier hotel discreetly hidden in the heart of Paris. The fashion crowd such as Victoria Beckham and Anna Wintour are rumored to stay there. The staff can be a hit-and-miss. Sometimes exceptional and sometimes ridiculously incompetent, i.e. incapable of bringing me any food or drink for over 30 minutes.
The food is usually pretty good. Thankfully, they didn't make me lose face when I brought friends to dinner. Their focaccia is delicious and the salmon is my go-to. La Pagode, Le Gabriel, and the bar are the main hang-out areas. The point of La Réserve is its beauty and sophistication.
The spa is weird; the space is rectangular-shaped and long. Only one bathroom for guests and no changing room. Just a stall with lockers. I believe the spa technicians are good but the spa's infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired. There are better spas in Paris for the same price range.

Yelp
An intimate dinner location. The place is beautiful and very romantic. Great place for a special meal. The food and service was amazing. Beautiful food presentation and equally tasty . Dinner was a wonderful experience. Before we even got there they had called and emailed find out about any allergies or any other preferences we may have.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to run into this hotel as I was walking along the Champs-Elysées
Paris. I met the manager for the restaurant, he is Italian. He was nice enough to walk me around the hotel and show me the beautiful amenities. I lost his card which bums me out because I can't remember his name and would have wrote his name in this review if I had his card. His name started with a M. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Yelp
We stayed at La Reserve for a week in September 2017. The hotel is really nice. Its got a lot of attitude typical for French higher end hotels. We loved our junior suite with a few exceptions - details. Details are important when you pay roughly $1k per night USD. Night crew didn't pick up morning room service orders off the door on an important morning with early tour departure. Housekeeping cleaned room but left breakfast tray and other trash in room forcing a call to the front desk. The place is nice, but at this price details count. The concierge....nice people....but they do not know the city and they do not speak English well enough. Between the language challenge and their high/over priced recommendations only around the hotel...they just are not working. Seriously...the staff are really nice....pleasant....but the language, details, and more make me say that this is not worth $1k per night. I gave 4 stars because I cannot give a 1/2 star. It should be 3.5. By the way, their chef is awesome. Stay for dinn

Yelp
One of the finest boutique hotels in Paris. Had dinner in its magnificent restaurant, Le Gabriel where every course was memorable. I especially enjoyed the Blue Lobster paired with a wonderful sauce (Le Homard Bleu) and the Green Asparagus. If you have the opportunity to dine here (or stay at the hotel), I'd highly recommend the experience.
