Reserve

"“Montpellier the Gifted”, as the city likes to bill itself, provides the backdrop to this well-hidden restaurant on the banks of the Lez. Slightly off the beaten track, it boasts a divine riverside terrace shaded by plane trees – a refreshing haven in hot summers. This modern and sophisticated Reserve is located in an old country house, an Ali Baba’s cavern of gourmet delights, unearthed from the little-known repertory of Languedoc-Roussillon. Former second of Alain Dutournier at the Carré des Feuillants, Charles Fontès signs intelligent compositions that revolves around the ingredient. Subtle plays of textures and flavours with an overriding goal of authentic simplicity. Seabream, squid and red mullet, Camargues eels and Lucques olives feature among the appetisers – Occitania on the table!" - Michelin Inspector

Everything was more than excellent! I loved the vibe, it was very clean and calming. The staff were very professional, polite, explained everything about the food in great detail. And the food itself was extremely delicious. I took the 4 course set menu, which was kept a secret of what the dishes are. But, I was very pleased with everything, all dishes were delicious and I highly recommend the visit to the restaurant. Top place to enjoy a tasty and fancy dinner!

Well deserved Michelin star especially when menu was a surprise a thrilling experience👏🏽👏🏽 They have taken into consideration our special requests. Furthermore, the outdoor view is breathtaking clear vision of sunset by the river. Would love to have an afternoon tea there.

Amazing food and excellent service. The sommelier did a fantastic job recommending some awesome wines to go with our degustation. If you want the degustation menu but have food allergies, you can tell them and they’ll adjust accordingly. The gluten-free bread is amazing. Mine was freshly baked. Will definitely return.

Had the set lunch, delicious and good value. Beautiful setting by the river. We had our 7 year old with us and the restaurant was very accommodating.

We had a family lunch at la Reserve last August, the setting is fantastic by the river, the food was very good from starter to dessert, and I have to say, the lunch set is one of the best value for money in the region. The wine list is very good and well priced. But, we could really feel that the restaurant was understaffed, everything went well until the middle of the lunch, after that service was non existent, we had to pour wine ourselves, water stopped being refilled, that’s not the kind of service that you expect coming from a one star restaurant. I am still putting 5 stars because of the food and setting, but service should not be forgotten…

Simply stunning. Absolutely incredible view, the terrace hangs over the river, the service is impeccable, friendly, knowledgeable and charming, and the food is truly exceptional. Beautifully presented, brilliant flavours and blisteringly fresh produce. This is a 'Must Visit' if you're in Montpellier. Nestled on the edge of a big park, it's easy to find with ample parking. The prices are really reasonable as well, with the wine list grouped by price and lots of fixed menu options that are excellent.
