La Reyna Azteca Tacos Y Tortas

My husband and I are new to the are, and we decided to try this Taco y torta place. I have to say, this is by face one of the most tastiest chorizo burrito and carne asada fries. Cooks have been on point. Definitely recommend.

Good tacos de Carne Asada and Tripa....very well made and authentic. Have returned with an update and a review. After having a Super Cubana Sandwich the place definitely gets a 5 star for the food. Great tortas, great service and very legit

Food tasted great. Service was awesome. I gave it 3 stars because if I pay $24 for a meal (plate and a bottle of soda), I better be full. I left hungry and had to get something to eat when I got home. The portions need to be at least twice as much as what I got for that price. At those prices, I don't know that I'll ever go back unless I have money to spend. I'd like to reiterate that the food was delicious and the guy that took my order and brought me the food was very courteous and professional.

My whole family and I got sick from something here. The only meal we shared in the past 2 days was from this restaurant, and ALL of us have spent hours in the bathroom. It’s our first visit to this restaurant. We had carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor tacos and asada fries. Everything tasted good, but the carnitas seemed undercooked. I ate more carnitas than anyone, and I’ve been having the hardest time. It’s really unfortunate. the staff were friendly, the food was quick but freshly prepared, and the salsas are tasty. At first, we were going to rate the place 5 stars. But something went really wrong, and we got sick eating food from here.

Our first time here. Staff does not understand customer service. As we were looking at the menu, they didn't say anything. When we ordered a burrito, they asked, "smothered"? We asked what that was. They said green chili. We asked if it could be put on the side. They did NOT tell us it was $3.00. Be careful and ask if there's a cost. We ended up paying $35 for two people. (One burrito and Quesabirria. No drinks)

Food was amazing, first time here, highly recommend the buche tacos con todo, res salsa is where it's at, agua frescas are all around amazing. The birria tacos are also so amazing I would've posted a pic but went straight to eating, even the aroma is superb

I eat here at least once a month. The quality is out of this world. I'm a creature habit, so once I find something I like I usually stick with. That said, I have tried many of their torta types and all were delicious. A few months back they introduced the guacamole and chips and holy cow, it is so fresh and filling. This isn't your bulk-made grocery guac, this is the real deal. So tasty! This place just fills my soul. When I drench the torta in hot sauce and take a bite, I am just so happy. The price is good - not fancy and overinflated. You actually get more than what you pay for in quality. If you want some authentic Mexican food, you have to try this place out. Author's note: This place used to be a Chinese restaurant years and years ago. They had my most favorite dish in the world - some super spicy green curry that knocked my socks off. The soul of those high quality flavors of that foregone place now lives in La Reyna!

Amazing food Everytime with fast and nice service!

Easy to find place, ordered at the counter, and picked a seat. Menu was easy to browse through and select! Ordered the La Reyna Azteca Torta with Asada and three tacos (lengua, asada, and al pastor). I would say everything was pretty good, just lacking salt and amount of peppers in the salsa. Service was quick and pretty clean restaurant!

I've been to La Reyna a few times, and on the website/menu, my mouth was watering when I saw all of these pictures of what I now know, are called, 'Quesabirra's!' (Didn't know what they were til then, lol) That FIRST time, they were pretty great. This last visit, my 'Birra's', were a little soggy and not as fresh. Other than that, I really like the flavor of them! My son had the carne asada's and he said they were pretty bomb as well.

I've been a few times. I've gotten their 3 Quesabirrias And Consome paired with a Horchata, as well as the breakfast burrito. Generally speaking I've been happy with the food. I've had a lingering craving for their horchata since I've had it. The Quesabirrias were very good, tons of flavor. My biggest complaint was I wish I had another 1-2 in the meal. Breakfast burrito was really big, the chorizo was a little spicy. It left me satisfied, with enough food to have a full breakfast and a snack for later. The service has always been efficient. I haven't had any issues getting my food quickly. Nor have I had an issue with getting the right item. I've been happy with the service. Inside isn't anything special, it's somewhat of a cafeteria vibe. Several tables, a few booths. It's a pretty casual spot. When I've been there it's been pretty slow. So it's an easy place to hang out for a bit with a friend. All in all, a good spot for food, a 7/10 kind of spot. Maybe 2-3 bucks more than I would have expected. So a place I do return to when I'm craving a Quesabirria Taco, but not necessarily a frequent visit.

I stopped in for a quick take-out on my way back home from an appointment. It's bright, and very clean space. The person who helped me didn't speak English... I don't speak Spanish, and yet I felt more welcome here than in some places! Between the two of us -- me asking clumsily and he responding much better than I -- I took his advice and got a taco el pastor and a quesadilla. Both were really good and I look forward to going back with my spouse so he can get one of their yummy looking breakfast burritos!

I've been here many times. Excellent and friendly, family owned. The food is delicious, definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood hood.

Everything was delicious! Torta with the correct authentic bread, smothered burrito was great, salsa had a perfect kick and not too much onion, and the green sauce for the table reminds me of my favorite place back home. Super authentic all the way around. We will be back!

Wow the carne asada fries and asada tacos were 10/10 Super cute place and everyone was so nice. Can't wait to go back!

Consistently good, often really good. Fresh food, love their hot sauce options. Never a long wait. Reminds me of taco shops in California. Definitely a go to place for lunch and dinner.

Finally decided to give this Mexican food truck by Walgreens a try! I ordered the La Chupito without ham. As the picture shows, its got a lot going on in it! It was very delicious and filling. Price was pretty good and it only took 6 minutes with 2 orders as it was freshly prepared. Definitely recommend to give them a try. My only suggestions to the owners if they read this is to have an English menu and/or add some pictures to the menu items. I honestly ordered a bit random due to uncertainty. Secondly the asada had quite a few bits of cartilage or something very hard that was unchewable, so better quality control on the meat cuts. I'll definitely come back if they fix their menu a bit.

This is a family owned restaurant so they are very nice! The tacos were super good and the meat was flavored well. However, it was hard to get salsa or hot sauce. There is also no napkins or utensils out. The carne asada fries are very... Colorado. The salsa was really cold compared to the rest of the dish which was a little weird, and as a California, I wouldn't say these were the best carne asada fries. However the horchata is huge and it is delicious! We can't wait to go back and try the tortas :)

Just tried this little Mexican hole in the wall where Asian restaurants were for many years. The FOOD was seriously ON POINT and tasty, tasty!! Get the Quesabirra tacos and the house made chips and salsa!! Nom Nom Nom Their portions of meats are generous and tasty and I love that they give you two squirt bottles of salsas!! One is a tasty, mild tomatillo and the other is tasteless HELL in a bottle. Talk about Hot & Spicy!! Yikes!! I will say that almost everything needed salt and they must've known this because every table had salt shakers but no pepper shakers. Hmmmmm The other complaint I'll make about the food is the fact that they did not provide enough cilantro and onions for the tacos. The over $5 chips and salsa combo was really delicious but crazy expensive!! Not happy about that since other restaurants give this for free. The last complaint I have is with the lack of cleanliness. The girl behind the counter with the foot-long fingernails couldn't be bothered with cleaning because of them, it seemed. I will never understand how any place of business serving food to the public do not keep their premises more sanitary! I love supporting small businesses as I own my own small business so I will encourage this place to step up their cleaning game. I'd kinda like to inspect the kitchen for cleanliness, but maybe not for fear of what I'd find....... Idk. I will come back in a couple weeks and post an updated review.

The QuesaBirrias were freaking legit!! They were crispy, cheesy, and so flavorful. I would bathe in the sauce that comes with it, if that were an option and it was socially acceptable. I highly recommend you come out and support this local business. Plenty of seating. Reasonable prices. Good music playing.

The food was good not too bad, but it needed a little more onions and more limes for at least the amount of tacos I ordered, other than that not too bad.

This place never disappoints!! Went here for take out and ordered four tacos: barbacoa, lengua, al pastor and Taliban! Great flavor and they don't skimp on the fillings! I also got the chili cheese fries.... This is the stuff foodie dreams are made of! So amazing!! Unfortunately I didn't take a picture... we were starving and it smelled so good we just dove right in! Highly recommend!!

Excellent, authentic food with quick, friendly service. Large portions and a speedy turnaround for to-go, and you can see them making it from scratch right there. Couldn't recommend enough!!

I've tried a million Mexican places since I moved to Colorado and so far, only one food truck in Brighton has impressed me...until now. I ordered the birria tacos and the churros. Hands down, best birria tacos and consomé I've had. Maybe I'm bougie, or maybe I'm spoiled after living in California and Arizona, often frequenting Mexico, but my standards are high. This place met my standards and then some. The crazy part is that I got take out! You know food is always better in the restaurant, so if my take out was that good, I can't wait to sit down and eat inside. Look for me there on Taco Tuesdays. I can't wait to try their other options. Oh, a friend told me about Venolonzo's and said their birria was better. I gave them a shot. Perspective: I give this place 5 stars, that place 3 stars, just in case you're comparing. You're welcome in advance.

Amazing tortas! I'm new to tortas and was blown away by how delicious they are. A million times better than an American sandwich. The meats are full of flavor and the bread is soft and fresh. We also got a couple tacos and the quesabirria tacos. Most of the tacos were good, except the carne asada one was a bit dry. All in all a great new culinary experience and I'll be back to try more!

We keep giving this place a chance but they are slow. It's better to place your order ahead of time. The breakfast burrito is bland with more potatoes than eggs.

Wow. I mean Wow! I Ordered the to carne asada burrito. The tortillas were made fresh and it had a lot of cilantro and meat in it! I chose to eat it there, service is so/so I asked for water that never came but there's only one server at the cash register that also delivers food so I had to give her a break. The taste was excellent! Aurora is definitely representing with this place for sure

Wow, finally! I moved from California over 10 years ago and have managed to find some decent Mexican food here in Colorado. However, I've never come across anything I'd rate above 3.5 stars. (Sure, there are some good Mexican restaurants, but I'm specifically referring to the food itself.) This place offers a nice variety of options, and everything we tried was excellent! Our interactions were mainly with the person in charge at the front of the house--I'm assuming the owner. They were incredibly friendly, stopping by to ensure we were happy. I wouldn't exactly label it as a "hole in the wall," but it had a pleasant and somewhat authentic atmosphere. The mix of teenagers having a great time, people stopping by after work, and couples on dates created a fun and vibrant environment. I'm definitely planning on returning.

Updated the photos of the regular menu. I just wanted to say these were amazing tacos. I've been trying to find a good taqueria since I moved to CO. This place was amazing. I ordered 2 tacos to try this spot out, I tired asada y barbacoa. They were both delicious I'll be back!

Don't bother with this place. They close at 8:30 pm. My family of 3 arrived at 8:02 pm to an employee with ATTITUDE. She was throwing things around because she did not want to work the additional 28 minutes to make our 3 person meal. She literally told us that we couldn't eat at the empty booth because "she already mopped." Really b?!

Highly recommend!! Brand new Mexican Restaurant that specializes in Tortas, Street Tacos and big Burritos and more. They serve 9 different kinds of meats so there's a nice variety to choose from. The restaurant is super clean, staff was very friendly and happy to see us come in. My Husband and I both ordered the Carnitas Burrito which came with a large portion of carnitas, refried beans, rice, cilantro, tomatoes, onion and lettuce. They were HUGE! They also brought red and green salsas to the table. Prices were reasonable for how much we got. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. Will definitely be a regular stop for us.

I visited once and had the carnitas burrito, it was not bad but I haven't been back since. I'm not sure why, the service was friendly and the place is clean and nice but whenever I think of going I choose someplace else; I go to the McDonald's out front instead.

Legit tortas and tons of options to choose from! My partner was also very happy with the chilaquiles he ordered when I took him to try it out the day after my initial visit. I'm especially a fan of La Gringa - pastor torta! Get it with the jalapenos AND the chipotle friends - it's a flavor explosion.

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver. This place is to die for! Their 3 quesabirria taco meal deal is amazing. Their consume is so well developed, packed with flavor, and the perfect dipping for the tacos. The meat is so tender and flavorful and honestly it doesn't even need the consume but with it - wow. Also, one of the only places I've been able to find gorditas and man are they delicious. Lastly, you cannot go wrong with their al pastor. The best around!

Doesn't look like much on the outside but don't let the cover fool ya! This place knows Birria! My MIL had never heard of let alone HAD birria. The hubby and I had only one previous experience with birria. YA'LL! Flavor explosion! My MIL said it was one of the most amazing Mexican food experiences in her mouth! Needless to say we will be back and although it will be difficult to avoid the birria, I will plan to give other menu items a try.

Quesabirria tacos and tacos taliiban were amazing. The man who took our order explained everything we had questions about. The dining area was clean, and their focus is on the food, so don't stress about the ambiance. Order some food, find a seat, and they'll bring you your order and enjoy.

Bomb breakfast burritos for a good price couldn't be happier! Fast service and friendly enough

First time being here. When we walked in we didn't know whether to sit down or go up to the counter. There were no signs or eye contact to suggest where we go. We waited awkwardly by the door while we were ignored by the lady waiting tables. We sat down awkwardly and continued to be ignored. We walked up to the counter after we realized that's where we order. A gentleman took our order, who arrived shortly after us. He was extremely friendly and inviting, completely made up for the woman who ignored us until we walked out the door. The food was excellent and came out very fast. The friendly gentleman named Francisco checked on us frequently and made us feel welcomed. My girlfriend's food was a little hot and he offered to make her a new burrito. She politely declined and took some sour cream instead. Amazing Churros! The tables and chairs were a little wobbly, but excellent food and service makes up for those things. We will be coming back because of the amazing service alone.

Ordered La Suiza torta for takeout after a long day of teaching. While the wait took about 10-15min, it was compensated for in delicious flavor! WOW! It tasted incredible - ham, melted cheese, mayonnaise, and avocado on a croissant-like sandwich. I want to revisit and try the tacos sometime! Thanks for a satisfying and delectable meal :-) You made this teacher's day.

I have ordered food for pick up here a few times now and it never dissapoints. I have tried the quesabirrias tacos $13 and the bacon and sausage breakfast burritos smoothered. They are $6.50 each and are made with real potatos, not no frozen hashbrowns. Their horchatas (Large $5) are the real deal, not from powder concentrate. Not too sweet but just right. Francisco took my order and he was very pleasant and personable. Tucked away in the strip where Subway, McDonald's, Goodtimes are off of Quincy and Buckley. Same side by Lowe's. Go try it out, seems like a family establishment. They also sell paletas $3.50 (Mexican popsicles).

Fantastic food and one of the best breakfast burritos I've had. Even my six-year-old ate an entire one by himself, and he's as finicky as they come. My friends who are borderline snobby about the lack of great Mexican food have been converted after coming here. Not a huge fan of the flan, but I've never had a bad dish here. I'm excited to get through the entire menu. The positions are large so I'm working through it slowly (the tortas will last me two days). Highly recommend!

The food just isn't all that. It's good but not great. I had one good burrito here when they first opened and everything since is so dry.

Incredible!!! I don't usually leave reviews but this place is amazing. The guy who helped me at the counter was so welcoming and friendly, food was amazing and a very fair price. So happy I found this place will definitely be coming back. Ambiance is great as well, everything is clean and fresh, definitely recommend to everyone!!

Lengua tacos were wonderful! It's such a small, unassuming place that really delivered.

Kind of a hole in the wall at the back of a shopping center, but the inside is cute and the food is great. We went on Sunday around brunch time and it took about 40 minutes to get our food, but it was worth the wait. Would definitely come again.

Tried a taco Al Pastor here.... Amazing! I also got a Carne Asada burrito smothered and it was incredibly good. Best I have found in this area of town, which is lucky since I just moved to this area. This is a typical small counter service local business that I hope does great! Food is amazing and I will be back. This might even become a go to.

Tacos or torta. Doesn't matter, food is excellent. We have also tried the smother breakfast burritos. All cooked to order and fresh. Horchata is homemade.

Very impressed with the flavors and service. My partner and I ordered the scratch made Horchata, Chips and Guacamole, la Super Cubana and la Alejandra Guzman. Everything was delicious and service was top notch. You can tell the owner takes pride in the food and service his restaurant provides making all feel welcome. Definitely worth the first second and third stop.

Holy cow. This was an incredible experience. I was so excited to try as many things as possible and the staff was incredibly patient and helpful providing me their favorite items on the menu. I tried a chorizo Gordita, Al pastor taco, carnitas taco, carnitas quesadilla, chips, house salsa and guacamole. The Gordita was incredible and I plan to go back and try every variety of meat they offer with the Gordita. The Al pastor taco was out of this world as well. The meat has to have been marinating for quite some time. It was juicy and had a great char on the outside. The green salsa served with the Gordita and tacos were an excellent compliment for each dish. Their house salsa also deserves a shout out. It's obviously made in house and has great heat. I placed my order to go and waited about 20 minutes. It was obvious everything was made fresh to order. I can't wait to come back.

This tiny place has amazing food! We got 3 chorizo breakfast burritos and they were incredible! We will certainly be back again soon.
