CATFISHING PHOTOS - very disappointing stay - DONT RENT THIS PLACE I was VERY excited to visit Positano, but my stay in this accommodation was extremely disappointing. I’m sharing my honest experience so future guests know what to expect. ✦ Catfishing Photos — Especially the “Terrace” The listing photos felt like catfishing. The terrace shown in the pictures is NOT part of the property — it is actually the church patio, presented as if it belonged to the rental. This was a major reason I booked, so discovering it wasn’t accessible was a huge letdown. Decoration is not there and the furniture is old. ✦ NO Natural Light There is NO natural light in the main living areas. Only the bedroom has a window. Even on a sunny morning at 8am, the apartment was extremely dark. The pictures make it look bright, but that is not the reality. ✦ Water / Shower Issues The hot water runs out very quickly and is difficult to regulate. I was traveling alone and could barely take a proper shower — I can’t imagine two people trying to share it. Forget about relaxing or taking your time while having a shower. ✦ Bathroom Problems The bathroom was one of the biggest issues: • Constant bad smell (likely a pipe problem) • No ventilation • Tub is broken and does not hold water The bathroom was uncomfortable to use beyond basic needs. ✦ Furnishings & Cleanliness The décor is not like in the photos — again, catfishing. The furniture is old, and the blankets smelled like they hadn’t been washed. The space felt neglected and poorly maintained. ✦ Poor Stocking of Basics Only a tiny amount of olive oil was provided, and fewer coffee capsules than the length of my stay — a small detail, but it shows lack of care. ✦ Unprofessional Communication The person in charge changed at the last minute upon my arrival. As a solo traveler, this felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. The check-in process did not feel safe or organized. Bottom Line Positano is beautiful, but this accommodation did not reflect that. Between the catfishing photos, NO natural light, bathroom issues, hot-water problems, and unprofessional hosting, I cannot recommend this place. This can make your experience in Positano very bad !!!

What a gem! We had a fantastic three-day stay at La Rosa Dei Venti. The room was simple yet comfortable, with everything we needed and a beautiful terrace overlooking the gulf and the sea — the perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning view. Breakfast was delicious, and having it delivered to the room every morning made everything even more convenient. The location couldn’t have been better — out of the hustle and bustle but still very strategic for exploring Positano — and the staff were absolutely lovely: always polite, helpful, and attentive.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by this hotel's absolutely stunning location. Nestled in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views right from our room, it was the kind of place you never want to leave. The accommodation was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Every morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast, delivered right on time to our room — a perfect start to the day. What really made our stay even more special was the friendly and attentive staff. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel so welcome. Special Note: When you exit the ferry, do NOT rely on Google Maps or your device to find the hotel — it will take you up a tremendous amount of stairs! Ask a local for the faster route (trust us, it's much easier!). If you're carrying a large suitcase, take advantage of the people offering to transport luggage — totally worth it. That said, the walk is easy if you're traveling light. If you're looking for a place that combines natural beauty, comfort, and genuine hospitality

Had the most amazing stay at this hotel in Positano. This hotel is very close to the main road. We had a balcony with the most gorgeous sea view and the best part was they serve you breakfast every day in your room. Hotel staff were very warm and helpful. Service was excellent. This is the best place to stay in Positano.

Amazing family run business. My wife and I stayed here for anniversary and her birthday .. amazing continental breakfast brought to the room over looking the sea.. staff were very helpful and helped book return taxi to airport .. would return and definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel located a short picturesque walk from the main town. The view from the room was brilliant to wake up to every morning. A choice of breakfast to have on your balcony is included in the price and was something we really enjoyed. Would love to stay here again and can’t recommend this hotel enough, especially as a cheaper option compared to all the hotels here.

We have just returned from a week in this gorgeous hotel. The staff are so kind and thoughtful, they made us feel very welcome and nothing was a problem. The rooms are a little dated but that adds to the charm, everything was spotless. Breakfast is delivered to your room and there is a great variety of options available. We had a wonderful view from our balcony so breakfast on the balcony each morning was fabulous. The only issue here is access as there is no lift and there are lots of stairs but as Positano is situated on many levels I suppose it is to be expected.
