We celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was high class – every dish was absolutely delicious, and the starter was the best we’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of amazing flavors. A special mention goes to our waiter, Jeremy – such a heartfelt, kind, and genuine person. His warmth and professionalism made the evening even more special. We would honestly come back just because of him. Thank you to the entire team for making my birthday so memorable! 🤗

Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. What you expect from Negresco. Obviously pricey. Is it the best food I've had in Nice? No. But it's high quality and aestethically pleasing.

Very stylish restaurant with great food and excellent service. Surroundings truly breathtaking. Lost a star in rating as they don’t offer zero alcohol sparkling which nowadays isn’t really acceptable in a 5 star hotel

The restaurant is very nice and cute. The food was amazing — everything we tried was delicious. The Steve Molinari fish soup was one of the best dishes we’ve ever had. The portions are generous: we ordered one tasting menu and, for the other person, a starter and a main dish — and we both ended up full. The staff was very friendly and professional. We’ll definitely be coming back.

This is a not miss restaurant in Nice! The staff are just next level amazing and everyone was so helpful for my dairy and gluten allergy. They brought our gluten free bread and even made me a special dessert. Highly recommend!

Very cute place to enjoy coffee or the breakfast buffet: you don’t need to be staying in the hotel to enjoy. They take walk ins as well. Also affordable for Nice

Avocado tartar 3/5 stars - the chef mix the soft and unriped hard avocado so I think that’s not so professional for this top famous hotel Fish soup- 4/5 stars. Their signature dish but I had much better fish soup. Their coutons were very hard and soup was a bit too salty. View was nice but can’t say amazing because you see the streets and the cars

This is our first stop arriving from LA, at Negresco in Nice. Thé breakfast was very good, the food is very tasty and fresh, the selection is expansive. Phoebe, Jimmy and Paolo were very professional and informative as well as all the staff here. I highly recommend to stop for breakfast. The view from the terrasse on the " promenade des anglais " and the se is gorgeous! A MUST!

First good stop in Nice and this one does not disappoint! Right on Promenade des Anglais, this restaurant offers a good location, great food, and a nice atmosphere. We sat outside but there was someone playing the piano inside and you could make song requests.

I had a quick dinner upon my arrival in Nice. The main restaurant Chanteclerc was closed but la Rotonde was a good replacement.The service was good but remember to ask for the butter and the bread or it will not be served(!). I had the soupe de poisson or fish soup and it was prepared with three types of fish. All were fresh and tasty. The croutons were a little too stale for me and the rouille could have been spicier . The end result was good though. It is a luxury hotel so expect to pay a big price for a smallish portion but given the freshness and the flavor, it was still a four star experience. I would come back again for the convenience but there are many other gastronomic choices in Nice so don't make it a destination.

I had an amazing meal at La Rotonde. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the cocktails were yummy. One of the best meals I had while vacationing in Nice!

Had a lovely dinner. Sat outside because the weather was really nice. started off with a little tomato vinegar gazpacho which was good. We had the snails with focaccia which was delicious. I had the Sea bass, which was thin and filling, very fresh and cooked perfectly. It came with zucchini flowers filled with mashed potatoes and some olive tapenade on top and zucchini. Had a nice half bottle of white wine from Sancerre. Very good service. I recommend this restaurant.

I would give this 0/5 stars if possible. Arguably the most disappointing dining experience of our lives. My wire and I are celebrating our honeymoon in Nice and chose La Rotonde based on Michelin's guide. The beef tartare was tough, the fries cold and the lobster pasta flat. The sommelier didn't acknowledge my wife and when we brought the complaints forward, he decided a 10% discount and charging us for macaroons we didn't order would suffice. Safe to say, we left extremely frustrated and disappointed. Would have rather eaten at Applebee's than La Rotonde. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Just terrible.

Absolutely worst experience in France during our entire trip. For a country so proud of their dining experience I am disappointed this was such a low point of our trip. Clearly an overhyped restaurant backed only by the fact that the hotel it is attached to is a landmark. Despite the food not being on par with the standards of the area or heritage, that wasn't even the reason for this review. The reason for me taking the time to write this review is to warn potential diners about the horrendous service. After being seated we waited an hour, 1 full hour, for our appetizers. Then to make things worse, 2 of the 4 main courses showed up 15min before the others. Entire dining experience was just overshadowed by the poor service and amateur timing. Definitely not recommended and not worth the price tag it has.

Our expectations were high and did not deliver at all! First the food very average at best! The steak tartare came with cold fries! The chicken came cooked perfectly with only one teaspoon of sauce!! And the lamb sausages with ketchup?? Talking about creativity.... Now the service, our wine came after our food was served and when my wife mentioned about the cold fries! Nothing was done about it! The manager only came to process our payment and then ask how everything was! From there our only desire was to left this establishment and get some desserts somewhere else! It's easy to get business for granted with such a big name! But the competition is there with way more delicious/affordable offerings around town! As far as I'm concerned! I will never return.....

Sadly disappointed. Timeline of the experience: Sat down at 8pm, appetizers arrived at 9. My main arrived at 9:20 whereas my wife got her food at 940 so basically I ate by myself and then she ate her dinner. Although I think the food was sadly forgettable, but that's a personal taste, the concept of service at a fine dining restaurant is not really debatable at a basic level. It is in the service aspect that la rotonde was an incredibly disappointing adventure.

Beautiful hotel and dining room made for a lovely evening. The food was great and the service was impeccable. It's a bit pricey but you are paying for 5 star hotel quality food and service. My filet was absolutely perfectly cooked and my fiancée loved her lobster pasta. We split a bottle of wine as well and the waiter did not let either of our glasses go empty without coming back to fill it for us. Had a wonderful experience here. Maybe if I make a couple million bucks, I'll actually stay at the hotel Negresco for a couple nights lol

I genuinely had the best experience as someone with Celiac disease because of my amazing waiter Jasmine! She was amazing and loving and gave great rec's not only with food, but wine! I'll only go back if she is there.

I ate here a few times on my recent stay and as in the past enjoyed the restaurant. Service was professional and accommodating - even when I asked for modifications or a special order. The restaurant is of course beautiful and should be part of any trip to Nice. We never felt rushed, and we enjoyed leisurely dining and when considering the quality and location, prices are more than fair. We went through the Chef's Suggestions as well as a few familiar items and enjoyed the Lobster and the Bisque as well as a Steak Tartare. It wouldn't be a meal at La Rotonde without dessert and the chocolate offering was excellent.

Loved this restaurant for the food and atmosphere. The service is highly efficient and gracious. The dishes are both flavorful and well presented. A great place to dine while in Nice.

Located in the Negresco Hotel- this is the more casual dining space in the hotel that makes you feel as if you are in the middle of a huge carousel. Watch out, for on the half hour, the music begins with the statue of the girl winding the box and the brightly colored carousel animals begin to go up and down. Seems like a perfect place for children, but on the day I was there, there was only one child in the entire place who seemed unfazed by the carnival antics. We went for a light lunch on a sunny, Sunday morning. You may want to make reservations if you want to sit on the outside patio and watch the world go by. Since we didn't have one- we were happy that they found a small table for us indoors. Of course- we would have missed the carousel had we sat outside so I guess it all balances out. The room, with it's domed ceiling, the pink booths and all the carousel animals is fun and lively. The servers are definitely on their game. Antony took care of us and he was efficient and friendly, even suffering through my bad French. We had a couple of starters, a salad nicoise, and a avocado and shrimp salad, along with a couple of glasses of wine. Others in the restaurant were eating their large meal at this time and followed that with a steak or pork dish. They also had a huge beef tartar that looked amazing. Like everything else in this hotel- lunch was a splurge running us about 63e. But for the fun of eating at the Negresco, it was worth it!

Great food and location for lunch, not too crowded and nice staff. The food was superb! For dinner I would recommend the other Negresco restaurant - Le Chantecler.

Wonderful old world restaurant inside iconic Negresco hotel with outside seating. Impeccable servis from the front desk to servers at the restaurant. The food and drinks were excellent too. Would definitely recommend as a hot spot to anybody;

Really quite disappointed with this place. I like to go to expensive/fancy cafes while I am on vacation so I am not giving this place 2 stars because it is expensive, that part was expected. Well this place was expensive without the good quality to back it up. The room itself was kinda cool setup like a carousel but man, the quality of the coffee was lacking for such a fancy place. It's really a shame because it could be a cool place to hang out.

Restaurant La Rotonde is one of Hôtel Negresco's restaurant and directly located at the Promenade des Anglais. We sat on the terrace outside the restaurant to be able to enjoy the views. The Promenade and all buildings are separated by a four-lane road; hence it is not the most tranquil setting. The views are still worth it, especially once the sun has gone down. Welcome and service was in general friendly and fast. Only exception was the long wait for water, we'd to ask several times until it was served. Food can probably be described as Best-of-Bistro (Burgers, Steak, etc.) with Mediterranean influences. We ordered three courses each. I personally found the starter disappointing, however things improved with the main and most certainly with the dessert. This was clearly the best course of the menu. It was a pricey affair, though. Food and especially drinks (beer@8€) were much more expensive than your usual French Bistro. Worth for visiting once if you can sit outside and enjoy the views, however there are better places in Nice to enjoy French cuisine.

Prime location with heritage decor but cheap food and preparation. Buffet breakfast was 30 euros for near-spoilt food. Cold cuts and smoked salmon were sour, as with the cooked vegetables. Coffee was tasteless and lukewarm. For such a prestigious hotel, food was extremely disappointing. Go to this restaurant if you want diarrhea.
