"The impressive endeavours of Josep in the kitchen and Montse in the dining room sum up the philosophy of this restaurant, which is easy to find thanks to its location close to the port in Palamós. This is without doubt a restaurant with its own personality and character as it occupies a building that was once a salting factory. The pleasant air-conditioned terrace by the entrance leads to a welcoming modern interior with live seafood tanks and two dining rooms with attractive barrel-vaulted ceilings that come as a pleasant surprise. The Mediterranean-inspired cuisine is heavily influenced by fish and seafood sourced on the Costa Brava." - Michelin Inspector

3 Days in the Costa Brava

"Located in an old salted fish factory, this restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on fish, seafood, and rice dishes, led by Josep Alsina and Montse Riera." - The MICHELIN Guide

A truly wonderful evening! The starter – salmon tartare with avocado – was an absolute delight: fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The seafood paella as the main course was outstanding – generous portions, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. For dessert, the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream was simply divine. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. We felt genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended

How this establishment managed to get a Bib Gourmand is one of the unsolved mysteries of the century! Unfortunately the food and price did not meet the expectations. Also, the most sad part was that the service could have made up for the lacks in the kitchen, but it didn’t. The cod pil pil was bland and the sauce was over worked and drowning the fish (which was probably frozen). The beef filet with foie gras had no foie, and when asked the waiter the answer was: “we could not get any foie gras”, which is laughable. (No comp for this in the final bill). The only delicious part of the meal were the local Red Shrimp from Palamós, which were out of this world delicious… therefore the 3rd star… but these 10 knights of the sea came at the princely price of 40 euros… so buyer be aware! Top tip: Go for the paella or fixed menu… otherwise avoid!!

A bit overprice for what it really is. The quality is good, but we were expecting better from a 20€ paella.

Overall ok, but really no better than that, which was disappointing considering our high expectations. (Michelin guide reviewers aren't perfect either I suppose.) Entrees and mains were nothing out of the ordinary, the desserts quite good. The nice bottle of white wine I found on their wine list helped to ease my general sense of let-down a little.

Excellent and fresh food. really good service and owners always present. The fish is fresh and the rice perfect. The desert to try: strawberries with dark chocolate ;-) Nice restaurant to go with freinds or family. Kids are welcome!
