I made a 15 day trip to Normandie and Bretagne regions of France. Of course, those areas are famous for their crepes and galettes. In Bayeux, I had galettes complete at a restaurant that were phenomenal. I didn't think that I would find a rival, but I did at La Sarrasine. It is a small restaurant, but very comfortable and nicely decorated. It does have outdoor seating on the pedestrian Saint-Geroge St (know for its eateries and energy). The gallete complete that I had was superb--crisp, very savory with a nuance of flavors. The service was very good, with the server being very polite and personable. The kitchen is open, so you see the cooks cooking and when I complimented the server on the dining experience, he must have told the women who were cooking, because the waived good-bye from the kitchen even though they were furiously cooking away. Great experience, one that I will remember from this trip. I'd give this dining experience a 4.5 to 5 out of 5.
