What a cool find! We stayed at the nearby Relais Juliette and were recommended to come here by our host. Our first visit was in the mid afternoon on our day of arrival. The building and interior are striking. This is immediately evident when you walk in on a glass floor over the wine cellar! The contrast to the local architectural norms are exciting and inventive. Our server at the restaurant, Fabio, was welcoming and spoke great English. We each ordered a few smaller plates off the lunch menu and everything was great. The cuisine here is very inventive. This is not a place to come for rustic Peidmontese food, although they do serve many of the local favorites done in their own way. We had sashimi shrimp, pasta with a meat ragu and pasta in pea sauce. The shrimp came with a parsley "sponge," very unusual! Paired with a nice Nebbiolo this was a great lunch. The prices are very reasonable considering the location, the service and the quality of the food. We came back two days later to try the dinner tasting menu. I had a seafood based menu which included grilled calamari and tiny local mussels. Another in our party tried the classic local style tasting menu which was also very well prepared and tasty. Definitely worth a try if you're in Peidmont! It will be an experience you won't forget.
