La Serradora

What an amazing evening and morning at this campsite. In the middle of no where with one of the most beautiful rivers I’ve ever seen running right past 😃 Arrival, we got there about an hour after we said we would due to stopping at the fort en route. So the owner wasn’t there. It seemed pretty chilled so we just parked up and had a look around. Pretty basic campsite but clean and the location is amazing perfect for us. I can’t comment on the restaurant as we were there on a Monday and it wasn’t open but that’s cool we had our own food anyway. The sanitary block is clean and well kept and the showers work well. We woke up the next day to the sun shining on the cliffs above us. And I managed to persuade Bushy to come for a walk with me. Spotted a cascade on gmaps so headed there along a GR walking route that went through the campsite. The walk was great fun, the river and the valley it’s in are incredible. We went through a swamp and up a sandy prickly cliff after turning the wrong way. Ended up at the cascade only to be completely underwhelmed as it was manmade! 🤦🏻‍♀️ anyway the walk was fab and ended up doing around 5/6k. And the highlight was swimming in the pristine yet freezing waters once we were closer to the campsite 😃 We will be back for sure.

We had a wonderful time at La Serradora! It's located at beautiful enclave within Alto Tajo National Park, you can go swimming in the crystal clear river literally at the doorstep of the camping and it's sorrounded by beautiful cliffs and mountains. It's a great spot to go explore nature from and there are plenty of available activities (hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, etc.).||It's run by a lovely young couple with idealistic views for the future. We were told that they have just started this summer and are working on environmental and eco-friendly goals.||Last but not least, they also serve homemade traditional dishes at their restaurant that would be approved by any Spanish grandma. The cook and kitchen staff live in the nearby village and so do many of their restaurant's customers. ||The couple made us feel very welcome and we look forward to coming back and seeing how the camping has evolved. 100% recommendable!

Really impressed with this camping site. Lovely, clean facilities and near the most beautiful river we'd ever seen. Charming staff too. We were especially impressed with the food. Truly delicious, such a gem tucked away in a gorgeous location.

Spectacular campsite situated in the bottom of a canyon. Surrounded by high cliffs around which eagles and vultures soar, it also has a emerald green river running right by it in which you can swim. One of the most special places we've stayed. To cap it all the guy who runs it is very helpful and the onsite bar serves great food.

Super chill host, amazing location, and direct access to a refreshing river. Also some amazing waterfalls on walking distance. Allround 11/10! Highly recommend!

La Serradora is a cute family owned campsite. The people are very kind and friendly. Most likely international guests are rare because nobody speaks english - however this was no problem for us! It is always possible to communicate and we could feel that everybody is welcome here :) What really amazed us was the crystal clear river just 2 minutes walking from the campsite. Full sun and a cold refresh next door made our stay perfect! Of course it is possible to go hiking or kajaking in the national park as well. Just a wonderful Place! But take care.. you need to have cash to pay for the camping - there is no credit card option. (22€ per night for 2 people and a car)

Amazing spot! Far away from the city, by the river with crystal clear water, in a magic location that feels yet undiscovered… they also serve a nice and original menu and the toilets were clean even in high season! 10/10
