La Settima Luna Hotel, a Design Boutique Hotel Canneto, Italy

"Offering free Wi-Fi, La Settima Luna Hotel is set just 50 metres from its beautiful beaches along the coast. It features a heated tub, a terrace with panoramic sea views, and elegant rooms with a private bathroom. Boasting white-washed walls and a white theme throughout, all rooms and suites have a modern and minimalist décor and are fitted with design furnishings and marble floors. Each is spacious and provided with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a minibar. All the suites are set on 2 levels and have 2 bathrooms, and some rooms also have a private balcony. At the Settima Luna you can unwind on one of the 2 terraces, each with a bar overlooking the sea. On one terrace there also is a heated tub that you can access for free. Staff can organise activities such as snorkelling and fishing. All-day breakfast is served daily on the terrace, and it includes sweet and savoury products. You can enjoy fresh croissants, pastries, together with eggs, ham, coffee and the typical Sicilian granita fruity slush. The harbour, with its ferry links to Milazzo, Naples and Messina, is just 4 km from the hotel and can be reached with a free shuttle." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

We found a hidden oasis in this hotel and absolutely loved our stay, so much so that we extended it by an extra night due to the spectacular experience! The hotel, which is family-owned, exudes a warm, family touch in every corner, beautifully renovated to preserve its original heritage while providing modern comforts. The rooftop area was a particular highlight, featuring an amazing heated pool that's uniquely supplied by underground volcanic streams—an exquisite touch that adds to the allure. The owner was incredibly hospitable, helping us navigate the area with excellent recommendations that enriched our visit. We are already looking forward to our next stay here. The only drawback was that some rooms are very dark with limited views, which was a slight letdown considering the otherwise perfect setting. Nonetheless, the overall charm and quality of service make this hotel a definite must-return for us.

Great location and lovely interior. Great flexibility on checking in and getting picked up from the port. Beds were comfy and reception was friendly. Breakfast and amenities though was very limited and the menu offer wasn’t clear. Overall, a bit pricy for what you get but a very nice option for a romantic stay. They also have 10% discount to some restaurants in the town but we weren’t informed of that.

We were incredibly pleased with our three night stay. Staff were welcoming and accomodating, facilities were clean and modern. We had an early checkout on the last morning, so they generously left us breakfast at our door the night before. We couldn’t have had a better experience.

We had booked a suite. What we didn’t expect was to have a room with a window facing a wall ,no balcony but a dark room, which felt very depressing. It’s on an island, we expected to get more light some sort of doors/ windows that would open up to an even small balcony , it’s not a city hotel..|It was clean spacious with bedroom upstairs.|The pool was not operating for the 4 days we stayed and it was like that for 2-3 before we got there..|The breakfast was good but needs some of sort of menu , you don’t know if you can get eggs or cheeses or what ever.its a bit of trial and error.||The reception staff were nice and helpful ||It’s quite central, practically behind theChurch, across from the beach and bus top right in front of Church.||Overall Decor is nice.||The photos on the web are not a reflection of what the place is , the photos make it look grand ,airy , and Santorini like which is not.

First things first, the photos are absolutely deceiving at this hotel. As per the attached photos - we spent four days looking at a wall less than a metre away, with no light. Not quite what you want in the Islands.||The location is Canneto, not Lipari, which means a 30 euro return cab, of a half hour walk any time you want a meal, or to go to town. And while the sunroof is lovely, the 'pool' is maybe 50cm deep.||While the hosts are quite nice, and did manage a horrible toilet smell we had for our first day - consider whether you really want no pool, no view, and no light on your room when staying in the islands

Settima Luna has been designed well. We had the suite which was more spacious but not as spacious or well lit as we expected. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly, shuttle bus free of charge, and the breakfast was very generous and delicious (they even got soya milk for me). Carlos and Sabrina were very welcoming. The room had the main amenities including a mini bar. Roof top views of the town and sea. I'd recommend it because the locals are also very friendly.

La Settima Luna was a lovely surprise. A small intimate hotel where staff cannot do enough to help. Our room was huge with a separate entrance area for bags and a wardrobe, a separate sitting room with lounge and tv, and a bathroom. Steep stairs led to the bedroom with a second ensuite powder room. It had aircon. The downstairs lounge was a bed so really slept 3. It was only room like this. The hotel had two very comfortable and classy sitting areas and breakfast was great. Rooftop had ordinary pool but a cute bar and sitting area. Behind a church the area quiet and a 20m walk to beach front.

Stayed there for 4 nights during our trip through the Aeolian islands. The hotel was lovely, with extremely comfortable and large rooms. The owner (Sabrina) was extremely nice to us and accommodating, organised all of our transfers including free trips into town every morning, organised our excursions and recommended the best places to eat. She even provided us a packed breakfast on mornings we started early. ||The hotel is located in Canneto, which is about 5-10 minutes from the main town - this is the only disadvantage because you have to go to and from town for the better restaurants/excursions. Otherwise it's a very small and quiet town on the sea front which is perfect for a quiet getaway.||The natural hot tub on the roof was great, and in summer should be even more enjoyable.
