It’s a small places packed with major flavor!! The beef was cooked well, very tender, not a lot of salt but definitely seasoned. The rice is delish and so are the chicken kabobs. Quiet spot on the strip. Two entry ways, parking in the back. I wish they had chic peas for a side but they do have homemade humus.

This is our 3rd visit (when we’ve been near the airport and needing a healthier meal!)! Lentil soup, gyro plate and basket, hummus and pita bread are so delicious! It’s a little higher than our usual “fast food” atmosphere restaurant type choice, but really delicious! We had 8 in our party, so took a bit to get all the meals out, maybe 15 minutes. Staff very courteous. Will come again! Thank you!

Google
Very tasty food and at a very affordable price. Ample place to dine in for a casual dining. There is patio too for few tables if you prefer to sit outside which were clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Washrooms were clean. Menu is quite extensive with a lot of options for meat and salads I got the lamb shank that was absolutely great. Highly recommend.

When your husband eats the hummus that he has never liked AND says it is delicious, then you know you have come across a true gem. Delicious food that makes you happy.😋😁 They even have sumac on the table!!! Oh! Now that right there is a tell tale sign. We will surely keep this place as a backup when we don't want to cook, and we will certainly return. Lebanese baklava...they had me right there.❤️

Google
We recently ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and the beef cube sandwich from La Shish Kebab, and unfortunately, both left a lot to be desired. The sandwiches were lacking flavor, and the meat portions were pretty skimpy. The seasoning could have been stronger, and there was too much sauce, which overpowered the taste. The chicken shawarma meat also had an odd taste, the beef tasted better. On a positive note, the fries were excellent—10/10 with that Cajun seasoning. For the price, the value was decent since it cost just over $40 for three sandwiches. However, the service was quite slow; we waited around 20-30 minutes just for our order. Overall, with the lack of flavor in the meat, we’ll probably skip coming back.

I really love that it’s halal and mostly the food is good and I have been twice. The rice is a bit dry I bout almost choked on it. The Gyro is sliced really thin and it’s dry too! The sauce and pita bread is what makes the meal. I’m from Chicago, the gyros are thick cut and juicy!

Google
First time having Mediterranean food. It was decent. I do wish they provided more sauces as the food was a bit dry. I got three different meats. The lamb was my favorite. The desserts are really good.

Ido Katz

Google
I ordered kebab, but instead, I got some kind of meat. The rice is tasteless. The hummus feels like it was bought at Walmart and put on a plate. As someone who really loves Arabic food, this is absolutely not tasty. (We were three friends, and we all felt the same way)

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Phenomenal Mediterranean food. Really high quality ingredients, food arrived fresh, and the restaurant accommodated my requests. It's hard to find fast and healthy options around here and I really appreciated what this restaurant offered. I ordered the chicken kebab plate and the Greek salad. Both were great. My only feedback is for the restaurant to offer a side salad option :) 5/5 stars

Yelp
We needed a meal in route to our house and pointed our GPS toward another local place but decided to try this instead. We were convinced we'd get our food quicker here and that it would be flavorful. We were mostly correct: the service was good, we ordered quickly and our food came out in about 8-10 minutes. The shawarma platter was a good amount of chicken, rice, and hummus but there were only two triangle pita slices. I loved that the pitas were warm! The chicken and rice needed salt; I added some to the portion I ate at the restaurant and other seasonings to the portion I took home and ate the next day. The salt brought the flavor out better. I really loved the spread they brought with it, but my husband didn't like his, so mixed reviews there. The restaurant is designed and decorated really nicely, but it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Also the restroom (one, single use, all gender) was not clean. The toilet seat was full of water and it made me pivot and exit before I even fully entered. Parking is easy. There's a large shared lot.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick lunch as we headed out of ATL. We weren't expecting as fresh a meal but it was pretty authentic. I prefer a thicker hummus but everything met our expectations of a decent shawarma. The staff was very friendly and quick.

Rachael R.

Yelp
Walked over while staying at La Quinta! Fast, friendly, fresh (and hot!) The veggie sampler is just what this vegetarian needed after traveling in. Thank you!

Velvani K.

Yelp
No seasoning on the rice and lamp chop was super small. $25 down the drain. Even the rice had no taste, so i was sad the whole time while eating, i could've went to McDonalds but we live and we learn.

Moe E.

Yelp
Decent! Not the best in the world but pretty good, and walkable from a ton of the hotels in the area. The hummus and pita made the platter worth getting. Came to I want to say $22 after getting a bottle of water also, so it's not cheap.

Aaron C.

Yelp
very nice place nice ambience. PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR FOOD Qulity of your food is not that good. My friend who only eats Halal was very disappointed. I hope coming back. We will get better quality of food.

Mali C.

Yelp
The pics don't do the delicious food any justice. Everything was absolutely amazing. The taboule was fresh I did wish it had a tiny bit more lime. But it was still very delicious. The chicken kafta was everyone's favorite of the three items. The rice was good. The hummus was excellent and I loved the garlic sauce. The gyro plate was also tasty. Loved everything. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. The restaurant was pretty small only a few tables. Definitely set up more as a take out spot. The service was fast and courteous.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying the food is really good and Halal as well (I overheard a customer ask the cashier). We ordered the falafel to start off with and it was very fresh, hot, and tasty. Next up was the chicken kabob platter (can also be had as a sandwich) with rice and hummus. All was fresh and flavorful. Ended our meal with baklava and cheesecake. On the other hand, the prices look decent but they are actually pricey for what you get: 5.99 for 4 falafel balls, 15.99 for the one skewer chicken breast kabob plate, 1.99 for a small piece of baklava, & 2.99 for a slice of cheesecake (which happened to be a decent portion out of what we ordered). Lastly, this establishment charges a 4% surcharge (dubbed as a "transaction fee) which leads you to believe that they are charging the customer for paying with a credit/debit card; however, I paid for our desserts with cash and they charged the same 4% "transaction fee". I won't patronize restaurants that do this as they should disclose this so the consumer can choose whether or not that they want to pay a surcharge (especially if their prices are already inflated).

Yelp
Stopped here one afternoon because we were craving Mediterranean cuisine. This was our first time but not our last time here. We ordered lamb chops and falafel platter. The food was delish and plentiful. Good service with a smile. We will be back.

Glenda B.

Yelp
Decided to try something new this Saturday. I ordered my food from Uber eats. I have never eaten lamb before so I decided I was going to give it a shot. I was undecided as to what I wanted so I ordered three different things. 1. Falafel 2. Grilled Veggie Plate 3. Lamb Chops When I open the platters I felt like the colors just jumped out at me. The veggie plate was beautiful. It consisted of grilled tomato bell peppers squash and maybe zucchini I'm not sure. I asked them to add onion because I love onion. It was on top of a bed of yellow rice. It also had I'm assuming was Hummus on the side and pita bread. This was very delicious and much needed today. The lamb chops. I was apprehensive because I was told lamb can have a gamey wild taste, however that was not the case with these chops. They were flavorful, I could taste the Rosemary and the thyme, they will also tender and not overdone. Delicious. It also came with the rice and the hummus and the pita bread and it also came with a sauce. I don't know the name of the sauce but I pretty much didn't use it. In between eating those two different dishes because yes I did try both of them, I also have falafel. Very tasty. I was very pleased with my meal and I will definitely try them again and maybe even stopping to the restaurant.

Cyn C.

Yelp
Food was good. Service nice. Mint tea was great! We had the lamb, rice and hummus. Will return again. My friends enjoyed the food.

Thomas B.

Yelp
Just a small place in this newer building in the area. When you walk in the smell hits you and you know you have struck gold! Amazing Mediterranean food! I got the Beef Kafta plate. It was super yummy. The rice was literally some of the best I have ever had! The hummus was good too. Great place if you are in the area. I will be back for sure!

Serena S.

Yelp
Wow. What a complete disappointment. I was excited to try this place so I ordered it via Uber eats. I got the beef kabobs platter and an "a la carte" lamb chop. All the meat was overcooked and everything, even the rice was flavorless. The bread was also hard. Will not try it again.

Jacowa W.

Yelp
The lamb was great! I usually get the shawarma chicken, but upon recommendation of the lamb, I would say I would get it again. I had the chops so I would try the lions next Morehouse (SpelHouse) Homecoming!

Andrew K.

Yelp
Impressive is the first of many complimentary words I would use to describe this place. I love a neat and clean dining establishment, and La Shia Kabab definitely has that under control. Their menu choices are very attractive, to the point that I wanted to try a number of items in my first visit. I resigned to returned immediately so I could try all of em. The salmon, the shrimp, shawarma and Krafts, and a few more. Not being a big beef eater, on my first visit I got the Chicken Shawarma, went back the next day and got the Chicken Kafka. The Kafka is good, but the shawarma wins. I appreciated the friendly service and very short wait for my food too. I'm tempted to do the salmon tomorrow, but we'll see. ....Ok, so I'm adding to the review after another visit, for the salmon. It was very good. The kind of good that makes me take smaller bites for fear of it being all gone. Can you believe that as I'm writing this I'm deciding to go back today for either some a la carte shrimp and grilled veggies or La Shish Burger.

Brendancrawford02 ..

Yelp
These were the best lamb chops I've had in a while...so I had them back to back. Cooked medium-well, and although I prefer medium-rare, they were still very tender, and seasoned just right. The hummus is smooth and delicious, but you might want to ask for a little more bread to mop it up. This is the tastiest place off of Virginia Ave.

L.2 K.

Yelp
Really great fresh mint herbal iced tea. The hummus is spot on and we enjoyed our entrees. Really large helpings. Wish the baklava was a larger portion for the price.

Lynne A.

Yelp
After an all day flight from LAX today, I looked for a good place to get some food. I literally was about to chew my arm off, being up since 3 am. Called in the lamb chops, and it was ready about 15 minutes later. Place is clean and service was nice. I saw them cook 4 lamb chops but the guy only gave me three. They was weird. Was he going to eat the other one? Portions were not big, but lamb and rice was super delish! Wasn't impressed with their hummus. All in all good taste was excellent, but fire could have used that 4th lamb chop as they were small. If ever here again I would dine here for sure!!

Rajun K.

Yelp
Great service, Fresh authentic cuisine! The salmon was prepared perfectly as requested. The mint tea flavors evolved with each sip! Yum!

Yelp
They were open at a fairly late time on Sunday night after I'd flown in to ATL, so I stopped in to pick up some dinner. The facility is super clean, which is always a good thing when you eat out. I like that they have a clear partition between the customers and the cooking/food prep areas, because you can see what they're doing (that area was super clean as well and they practice good food handling. I ordered the gyro sandwich (which I THOUGHT was a sandwich, but is actually served similar to a burrito-style) which came with fries - vs. the plate which comes with rice and salad. OK so this is a 4 star review due to the person who was at the cash register. She was just so short and a little rude and no, not just with me. The gentleman ahead of me and this couple who ordered after me. She needs some serious customer service training. Otherwise, took my food to the hotel and was very impressed all over again with the "bang for my buck" at the size of my 'sandwich'. It was so tasty and LOADED with gyro. They definitely do not skimp. It'd definitely recommend this spot - for the food and guarantee of good hygiene.

Steven A.

Yelp
Pros: Delicious lamb chop platter (lamb chops doesn't get any better than this in ATL/ Hapeville ) and tasty hummus plate , grape leaves and baba ganoush. The host Sareef and the entire staff is very friendly and generous with their hospitality. It's also located in a great location with excellent parking. Cons: none Wishing this restaurant gets the recognition it 100% deserves.

Nina P.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Shwaorma platter. ON POINT!!! Hummus was good as well. Just remind them you want a drink with your food. I had to pay twice. No big deal, but one ticket would have been easier. Otherwise, definitely recommend!!

Dino N.

Yelp
Good spot, not great, but definitely good! I had the Mixed Meat Dinner Special here--Grilled Chicken Tender, Beef Kofta, Gyro, and a Falafel served over Rice with a Salad. The Chicken Tender was good, but a little dry. The Beef Kofta was excellent, and the Gyro was good. The one falafel ball included in the special was good (hard to make a bad falafel, and also hard to make a great falafel). I got a side of hot sauce (it's hot!), which was very much needed. The pita on the side is a nice touch, but it was so crispy, as opposed to soft (how I would have preferred it to be). For $12.99, this is a good filling meal...but I'm used to a more filling meal for $6 from a Halal Cart in NYC.

David B.

Yelp
A bit on the expensive side for the portion size. Ordered the chicken shawarma. It came with lettuce inside. I've never seen a shawarma with lettuce in it. It's not done that way in the middle east, not in Jordan, not in turkey, not in the Gulf states. When you put cold lettuce in a hot shawarma, it wilts and gets slimy. Really took away from the flavor and authenticity of this item. Also had the chicken kofta sandwich. Very little chicken kofta. Mostly bread and fillers. Falafel was good, hummus was good. Overall, they have some good items but I would stick to the basics.

Linda R.

Yelp
We were staying at the La Quinta Inn about a block away and checked Yelp for places to eat in the area. We chose La Shish Kabob because it was in walking distance plus it was open until 9 pm on a Sunday. They have seating outside and inside. I ordered the veggie sampler minus the grape leaves. It came with falafel, my favorite, as well as baba ghonush, tabouleh and hummus. It is called a sampler, but was more than enough for a meal, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and we got our food quick. I definitely want to eat here again!

Ann P.

Yelp
Very good Greek food, tasty and good servings. The staff is friendly and the prices are decent as well, there is also plenty of parking and the location is close to the airport. Please see pics and menu attached...

May D.

Yelp
Definitely worth 5 stars! I'm going to remember to take photos of my entrees and post before I eat my plates clean the next time! From the customer service, to the menu prices, to the portions and finally the most important part, THE TASTE! I've found a new local establishment in the heart of downtown Hapeville! 5 very well deserving stars across the board! FYI the veggie plate was awesome!! Fresh grilled veggies seasoned to perfection!!

Hart P.

Yelp
Located in a strip mall off Virginia Avenue, this is a great addition to the area. Some of the best Mediterranean food I have had. I came in for a quick dinner to go. Being my first time, I asked about what they did well and they responded by asking what protein I preferred. This lead to the lamb shank meal. Slow braised, lamb shank has to be prepared well ahead of time. My shank was perfect, tender and moist. The sides of rice and salad were excellent. The rice was light and fluffy, perfect for soaking up meat juices. The salad was fresh and none of the leaves were wilting from sitting in a bin. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Chan F.

Yelp
Poor customer service. Unfortunately I can't blame it on the amount of patrons they had to attend to, as we were the only people there smh. The gyro was okay, but lacked flavor. I had to request sauces to spruce it up. The fries were good, but nothing spectacular. They also sold bottled water but had tap ,which may have been filtered, available with cups. A family came in after us and we're more engaging than the staff working there. I wouldn't recommend, unless you are desperate to grab a quick flavorless meal.

James L.

Yelp
Gave this place a try since it was in the same area as my hotel room. I ordered the Chicken Kofta Platter. First I must agree with a previous poster. You would swear that this is the kiddie platter. As you all can tell from the photo the chicken breasts are quite tiny. Must have been Cornish hens they got the chicken breast from. It came with hummus which was fairly bland in all honesty and two small pieces of pita bread and no salad whatsoever. Definitely not impressed with the amount of food nor the overall taste of the food. The chicken had an odd taste to it that I really can't identify. The rice was the best part of the meal in all honesty. I must say the service was pretty good. Thank God Lickety Split was next door to this place because that's where I ended up getting something else to eat from.

Jason P.

Yelp
Decent quality food. A little on the salty side but overall a decent little place. Could use a little refinement but it's not bad at all

Quayvonnea C.

Yelp
This food was delivered to my home looking a day old and possibly microwaved. My chicken and lamb was dry and the pita bread was hard... never again!

Wendy O.

Yelp
Easily some of the best dinner I've had in a long time. The rice was different than anywhere else and the hummus was so creamy! If you're stuck at the airport or staying nearby for a flight, do yourself a favor and get something to eat here! 10/10 Recommend.

Rob R.

Yelp
It felt like I was enjoying a Middle Eastern kids meal! Chicken had flavor, rice flavor less. Cmon yall give that salt shaker a try. Two pieces of pita? Let me guess, it's the supply chain! Damn you supply chain! Seriously, no salad or any greens? Now I gotta go to Cafe Agora for the real deal meal!

B E.

Yelp
Excellent tabouli. Excellent falafel Average hummus The best grilled vegetable you will find anywhere

Michael B.

Yelp
Average to below average quality Mediterranean. I chose the Beef Kabob platter and a piece of Baklava. The few Beef chunks were actually quite tasty, although the QUANTITY of everything was very small, contrary to a lot of Mediterranean places. I found the little scoop of Hummus to be very bland and I'm certain there was no lemon juice, salt, tahini, or garlic used - counterfeit Hummus! Bland pita triangles. Basmati Rice was bland but cooked correctly. Wait time was a little long and the head lady assembling the orders kept several of them on the prep counter in front of her while babbling on to the other cooks, no mask on. Really bothers me when kitchen people do that, I don't want your saliva droplets all over my food. I would probably pass just for the lack of consistent quality/quantity/value. Probably okay for a quick ljnch

Whitney S.

Yelp
I was out of town for a real estate conference and SO glad I found this place!! The food and service is absolutely amazing!! Whitney Taggart, Realtor Dronet Realty Group C:228.209.2082 O:228.447.3727 wserealty@gmail.com whitney.dronetrealty.com

Chad W.

Yelp
The staff is all very nice, only about a half dozen tables. They do mostly takeout orders. The gyro meat and rice both taste great, but the hummus I have had better. Serving size was perfect snd price reasonable.

Madeleine H.

Yelp
Impressively fast delivery through door dash. The food was still hot & the fries still crispy. 18 minutes from ordering to eating when the estimate was 25-45. The Salmon & lamb were well cooked. Portions were generous; of note was the enormous lamb shank. One star off because the hummus was super bland and the rest of the flavors were good, but not 5 star impressive. Also it was really unclear when ordering what actually came on the platters & what was a substitution. That might have been a DoorDash thing though rather than the fault of the restaurant. We thought we were getting salads with our platters and got hummus instead. This would have been less disappointing if it tasted good. Overall a satisfying & fairly healthy dinner. Just advise to pay a bit extra to spring for the salad & skip the hummus.

Manda B.

Yelp
Was craving some Mediterranean food for dinner. I ordered the lamb chop platter, falafel platter and a side of tabbouleh to-go. The guy that took my order was friendly. Everything I ordered was bland. I wouldn't go back

Erica G.

Yelp
I've ordered from here a few times now & it's always great! Fresh & healthy Mediterranean food close to work is a blessing. The Gyro Platter was very flavorful & huge. The Chicken Shawarma Platter came with rice, pita, a side salad & the chicken which was seasoned really well. Can't wait to support this local business more because its good to have a restaurant in a sea of fast food.

Analise G.

Yelp
Literally the best place ever!!! Not sure if it's authentic but it's extremely good! 100% recommend this place!!

Joseph C.

Yelp
Very good halal food, served fairly promptly. I really enjoyed both the beef kafta and chicken shawarma. The only reason I took off a star is the small amount of interior space to sit and, more significantly, no fountain drinks, which is a huge oversight.

Haron K.

Yelp
With their 2 most recent health scores they've received an "A" and a "B", but only the old "A" was clearly visible, unless I just missed it...Hmmmm...? Either way, their violations didn't include pests, uncleanliness or poor food handling, so I'll give them a mulligan. Nice, clean, quaint little spot, with ample parking in the rear and both, street side or rear foot entrances. The service was good, the food was good and the prices were pretty comparable to their contemporaries. Their falafel used a thinner pita wrap than what I'm used to, so that was different (Not good OR bad) and it ended up being rolled kind of thin, making it more of a falafel burrito, as opposed to the wrap/sandwich that I'm used to, but overall I was pretty content and would definitely come back again.

Kristi C.

Yelp
I've never been in the actual restaurant, just had them via Uber Eats. The lamb is always great here, moist and succulent.

Life w.

Yelp
This restaurant met my expectations when it comes down to their food. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter. I would rate it a 10/10. The rice, chicken and garlic paste was to die for. The service was pretty fast as well. The only downside was this restaurant didn't have fountain drinks. I understand it probably cuts cost and clean up. I still would prefer a drink fountain just to have more options. Overall, I'd recommend this place to someone looking for a good mediterranean spot.

Joe R.

Yelp
Very tasty chicken shawarma, lamb shank. Consistently good service. I come here repeatedly for great food

De T.

Yelp
Nice clean place. Has both front & rear entrances. Parking is in the rear, across the street from Michelin tire shop. Portion size is a bit small. Taste wise - it's alright. I've had better. Beef kofta was a bit dry & I didn't taste any seasoning. The various plate options are a few dollars cheaper than other places. Most other places charge $14-16 for the plate. Falafels & salad taste like everyone else. Friendly guy, attentive, & courteous. Stays on top of things.
