"Someone’s always singing or dancing to music behind the counter of this Cuban bakery. It’s a welcome change from the typical “el que sigue” interactions we normally have with whoever's making our cafecito. Sure, the line moves a little slower, but they’re back there whipping espumita and pressing Cuban sandwiches with the enthusiasm of a boxer puppy. So have a seat at the back counter and watch these señoras jam out to Gloria Estefan while you wait for delicious croquetas caseras and strong coladas. photo credit: Tasty Planet" - Virginia Otazo

I made a quick stop here and it did not disappoint. The employees are so nice and heated my ham and cheese croissant to perfection. The ham croquettes are delicious too! I snapped a quick pic before devouring the food for your viewing pleasure.

I've been coming here for years, food is great. Usually service is good too but today I was treated very poorly by one lady with glasses, she was so rude, rolling eyes, making faces, I was shocked! I truly don't feel that I will be returning here, what a horrible way to treat someone. The gaslighting was top tier. Incredible, what a shame. Wow.

Google
I love this place. I have been eating here since I was a child. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a busy place most of the time.

Google
Hands down to our neighborhood bakery spot no need to say to much come try it for yourself from desserts to pan con bistec and more, my favorite is that pan con bistec with everything on it that first bite you taste all them flavors from veggies to meat🔥🔥

Google
We go here almost daily when in Miami. The pastries and breads are always excellent. Incredible. Always!!! And the staff have been there for years and run this place like a well oiled machine. Definitely have to visit.

Google
I have been coming to this bakery religiously on the weekends for many years. They are always great, the staff is very nice and friendly, they are always fully stocked. You can't go wrong with La Sin Rival, the name says it all!

Google
The best Cuban bakery I’ve been to in a long time. It transported me to Miami of the 70’s, authentic Cuban flavor. Most definitely, it has no rival..

Yelp
Siempre tienen una excelente calidad en todos sus postres y son deliciosos muchas variedades y excelentes precios y excelentes servicios al cliente

Yelp
Another great Cuban bakery in Miami. Busy on a Sunday morning, but efficient and organized chaos. Take a number when you walk in! The tostada was excellent, perfect texture and super fresh bread. The quesito was delicious and also very fresh. On par with the quesitos from my other favorite Cuban bakery (in a completely different part of town). We were asked if we wanted our café con leche "light", "regular", or "dark". We've never heard this question before so we asked for regular. This was the only thing that was a little disappointing. The espresso was a little more watered down than we both prefer so I think next time we would ask for dark ("oscuro"). Regardless of the café, this is an excellent choice for pastelitos and Cuban bread. The sweets in the display case also looked amazing, and I would love to return to try them sometime.

Yelp
He llamado 12 veces porque hacer un pedido sobre el teléfono para recoger ahora que llego aquí vuelvo a llamar y es obvio que desconectaron el teléfono se lo conté a la muchacha y estaba actuando sorprendida ‍

Yelp
Great little Cuban bakery located in a strip mall. It's open during quarantine, and they've done a good job getting organized and prepared for social distancing. You can order your favorite pastries and Cuban coffee to go. The ladies are as sweet as the guava pastries, and I'm happy to see places like this still operating. Visited on a weekday and they had consistent customers. Prices were great.

Yelp
On my way to FIU and wanted to grab something light for breakfast, so I refer to bakeries on Yelp and came across this phenomenal place with a variety of authentic Latin pastries, sandwiches, and other delicious treats. I did not know what to choose.. everything looks good! I ordered the ham and cheese croissant sandwich, house made ham croquettes, and beef empanada. I have enough to last me while on campus. I surely will return whenever I'm in the area.

Yelp
Great tasting Cuban Pastries and sandwiches!!! I shared the Pattie's with friends in Doral area and they loved the taste as well.

Valeria G.

Yelp
Great service & employees great smiley aptitud towards customers. Great pastries & cafe con leche.

Gabe K.

Yelp
This Cuban bakery is DA BOMB. Awesome delights, fresh hot Cuban baguettes, and a pan con bistec sandwich that ROCKS. Great service too!

Oscar S.

Yelp
Walking distance from my house, I have given this place a chance every 6 months or so for the last 3 years. The food is mediocre, coffee is actually good, but service is abhorrent and there is constant disorganization. Not worth it to wait 30 mins for a coffee, tostada, and a couple croquetas; less so when there are more staff in the store than customers.

Kendra S.

Yelp
Service was great. You get greeted immediately, and I love how you can tell they know their customers. I came for a cortadito and croqeuta of course. As a coffee lover I have had my share or cortaditos and this one was definitely top 5 for me! Croqueta was almostaa good a islas canarias!!!

Yelp
This is the most unassuming Hispanic neighborhood bakery ever. I mean, the name and the neighborhood give away the type of bakery, but still... I have stopped here a few times, never had a complaint, and everything was pretty good. Actually, the pastelitos are the only ones in Miami to be coated with a heavy sugar glaze. I really like that touch, and if I may add, these are also very filling pastelitos. These would be something like pastelitos on steroids. Stop by, eavesdrop on the old timers discussing why the moon is round, get some coffee and a sandwich, patronize something other that Starbucks.

Luis C.

Yelp
Was at goodwill next door so came here. Guava and cheese pastelitos were delicious, as was the colada. The croquetas de la casa were also good and next time I'm definitely trying something out of the wide variety of pastries. There's even cannolis! The staff is nice, polite, and patient. Very clean, and only 5 people are in at a time due to Covid-19 social distancing.

Yelp
YES! This little mom and pop shop was a treasure of Cuban baked delights for the soul. When you walk in, the place is straight to the point. There are no tables for family seating per say, but they have a seating area with stools for a quick bite. The baked goods are displayed the moment you walk in to tempt you to break that diet. I have tried this specific place quite a few times since I am new to the flavors of the Cuban goodness. We will start off with the small bites more specifically the croquetas and papa rellena. I will say they vary in flavor with every visit which can be hard when we have been trained to always expect the same flavors when we like something. But let me reassure you the change in flavors is actually a good thing because it means freshness and that things are truly made in house. Not just frozen imports that are reheated and served. But even with the varying flavors you can be sure they will all taste amazing. When it comes the sandwiches, they are also great and fresh. I have found my true love in the form of a Cuban Sandwich at this place. Many other Cuban bakeries mainly have cold cuts, meanwhile in this location they also include a small pork cutlet. That with the blend of mustard and pickles it tickles your palate just the right way. I have also tried the steak sandwich, it is also tasty but pales for me in comparison to the Cuban sandwich flavors. The service here is always warm and to the point. Take this with a grain of salt though because the location is always pretty busy meaning they will be rushed. Even with the rush they still make sure you are aware that you have their full attention when they are helping you. The lines also tend to get hectic but there is a consensus that the line is of Good Faith. My last suggestion is to come here with cash. Yes, they do accept cards too, but it will make you wait longer since there is usually high traffic and not enough card machines. Save yourself and them the trouble. 100% recommend.

Yelp
I have been a customer for almost 10 years, but this morning April 07, 2022, I was mistreated by an employee named Isis Segal, according to the receipt, she seems to be new and blonde, middle age, but lack much customer service, she was really rude to me, and this happened at 9:38:25 AM. Upon arriving home, I started calling to speak with the owner and it was busy all the time. It is really a pity because in general the products are good. Yelp
This place is a hit or miss, 50-50 on all counts from the pastries to the service- although I believe the service is 3 on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the best). The sandwiches are descent as long as you get the fresh ones. They have a habit of having them sit for awhile and my experience has not been so pleasant when I have been given the older ones. The meat they use just smells terrible after a couple of hrs even after being refrigerated it goes bad- I have had to throw out from one day to the next. The pastries same deal- if you happen to be there when a fresh tray comes out - get those instead. Now the service- these women are just not service oriented- not even a smile! They come across rude, disrespectful and just do not pay attention to what they do. They make rude comments of the customers afterwards and not realize people are listening and they are too busy being too chatty amongs themselves instead of taking care of business. Is this a Miami thing now? Since I have been going there I have seen these employees get too comfortable in their skin, who do not realize the harm and bad environment they create. But if the owner doesn't care then why should anyone else?

Iris M.

Yelp
The Best Cuban Bakery!! All pastries always fresh and delicious! Nice to have a business that takes pride in their products.

Yaima L.

Yelp
This has been my favorite place since I moved to Miami 9 years ago, still they always manage to surprise me. Last July I made a big order for around 100 people for my son's birthday party. It included tamales, chicken wings, the usual cuban fare (pastelitos coco, guayaba, carne, croquetas, bocaditos) and then the birthday cake. I ordered with an instagram board a planet/universe themed rum cake, oh my, the rum cake was A M A Z I N G, everything was good but do you know the feeling of remembering something you ate and you feel the urge to try it again! I can't tell you how good it was, it was beautifully decorated just how I envisioned it. The food was great! but like I said they has always been my favorite but so you know you can order a cake (very affordable) and you'll be greatly impressed. Highly recommend them for your celebration, thank you!!!!!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years ever since I was a kid; being raised by my grandma for all the time I lived with her it was walking distance from my house. I love the bakery so much as it's served it's purpose in my belly. Hehe

Reyvis S.

Yelp
I really like this place staff is great as all the baked goods breakfast is good lunch is good and you will roll out because you will try everything

Onil M.

Yelp
Love this bakery. Lovely staff that are always helpful. Bern coming for the past 10 years and has always had excellent quality. My favorite here are the Cuban pastelitos and Cake de bombon which taste excellent

D P.

Yelp
Everything in this bakery is so good. Their pastelitos are always fresh and they're dulces are amazing, specially the eclairs. Their house croquetas are delicious and so are the bacalao ones. The only reason they get 4 stars is because their service is a little lack luster. Typical Cuban bakery. Seven people standing around and only two are working.

Janneth S.

Yelp
Busy Cuban spot. Best croquetas I've ever had. Food is very good. Staff is on the GO! Great prices!

Aida T.

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER BREAKFAST FROM HERE, IT TAKES FOREVER AND THEN THEY SCREW UP YOUR ORDER!! The fault is mine, I keep ordering it thinking they will make it correct someday, THEY HAVENT!!! Also, if you order a sandwich, they microwave it first and then place it in the sandwich maker, the sandwich gets hard as a rock within 10 minutes (just my opinion). The rest of the food; assorted breads and crackers, pastries, croquettes, desserts are delish, and are a hit at parties and office gatherings!!

Rebecca R.

Yelp
I love going to La Sin Rival Bakery! There pastelitos and sandwiches are always fresh and delicious! My neighborhood fav.

Amanda M.

Yelp
My favorite Cuban bakery! No matter what time of day you come you can find pastelitos that feel so fresh! Cheese pastelitos were filled well, pan de bono was not too sweet or savory, empanadas were crunchy and plump. Drooling just writing this! I can't wait to visit again!

Silvi L.

Yelp
I've loved La Sin Rival for a long time. Going on 20 years long and I've hesitated to write this review because I love this place so much, but it's just not the same. They have the most delicious pastelitos of any other Cuban bakery I've tried in Miami, which is saying a lot. And they used to serve the most amazing coffee to go with it. Not anymore. for some reason the ladies who work there now get very confused by coffee requests and make nothing near the Cuban cafe con leche they used to make. It's happened to me several times and today was unfortunately the last day. I ordered a cafe con leche - oscurito, which in any other bakery is a pretty straightforward ask. My coffee is more milk than coffee and has no sugar. In 20 years I've never had to ask for sugar, that's just what the cafe con leches comes with! This is really small potatoes compared to the overall decline in the quality of the drinks served. I'd still go back for pastelitos, but it won't be my go to place anymore.

Susana M.

Yelp
A classic Cuban bakery with all my childhood favorites. Get the app, order online and skip the wait!

Ming W.

Yelp
Great pastries and great coffee makes a great start to my morning. I love that you can get several pastelitos and a big cafe con leche here for under 5 bucks. While I usually just get a few croquetas (which have all been good), my friend who is a big pan de bono fan swears that theirs are among the best she's had. They also have a variety of sandwiches that look good but I've never had the lunch fare there. To top off the good value and selection, the service here is always excellent. I'm always greeted with a smile when I walk in and the staff always tries to be helpful while you make your order. As one of the rare people in Miami who does not speak Spanish, it's refreshing to not get a sigh and "really, you a no speak espanish?" glare upon ordering.

Eppy E.

Yelp
One of the best bakery's in Westchester! If you are going for the cafe con leche, make sure to try it with evaporated milk. Pastries are baked periodically throughout the day, and are very fresh. Staff is friendly & courteous, and prices are very economical.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Best bakery in town hands down. I've come here since I was a little kid and it's always been great at decent prices. They even do things for thanksgiving and the food is awesome too!

Jason S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Nobody in the whole place spoke English. But what else would you expect for a Cuban style bakery in Miami. Ordered a premade sandwich, ham and cheese stuffed in a home made croissant. It was decent. It had a good amount of ham and cheese. I just felt like it wasn't worth the $3.75. Would have been a lot better for $2.50 or so. I would probably go back to try something else out if in in the area.

Natasha Q.

Yelp
Pastries are delicious. There is usually a line, so grab a number and get a bit comfy because you will have about 5-10 minutes to kill. The pastries are a tad bit pricey compared to many other bakeries in Miami, however, totally worth the price!

Natalie N.

Yelp
Hands down amazing bakery! Their croquetas de la casa are delicious! The pastelitos are perfectly golden and flaky. They also have great customer service!

Miki M.

Yelp
I was unexpectedly pleased by their selections. Great bakery especially pastellia and cafe. I stopped for a cup of cafe con leche, and I found the Pan de Harmon and Hallakas, the Venezuelan Xmas food also taste great. Not so much English, but they are friendly.

Nifertiry R.

Yelp
I went to this bakery on a whim since I see it everyday on my way to work. Since I work in Flagler St. there is many bakeries. I walked in and ordered a breakfast sandwich It was made with cuban bread, scrambled eggs with onions, ham and cheese. It is one that they prepare in advance and have ready for the morning clients. It was aprox $3.50. They warmed it up and I was on my way. The food ended up to be quite delicious. So I ordered a cake package deal for my job. I had ordered short notice they were every accommodating and the pastries were great. The cake was very good. This will be my new bakery from now on. I loved it. :)

Alex B.

Yelp
Good pastries a bit more expensive than I thought or maybe it's been such a long time since I've had them. Anyway, they were great! Good cafe con leche and Cuban bread. Grab a number in the mornings it gets busy.

Gabby V.

Yelp
My only complaint is that they're always busy but that speaks for itself. Best pan con bistec!

Vivian C.

Yelp
Best bakery ever! Come here all the time since I live close by, prices are good. Best pastelitos are here, dulce de leche señoritas like always are delicious and their croquetas are so good. HOWEVER although I love this bakery beware that it is almost usually packed on weekend mornings though the ladies who work there usually do a decent job in getting you in and out fast. On these busy days they sometimes run out of cheese croquetas especially and there have been times where I requested them and they made them for me even though they ran out, which is a nice gesture, but more often than not they don't get cooked all the way because of the hurry (hot on the outside, cold on the inside)..

Rose J.

Yelp
I've been here about 30 minutes now waiting for my breakfast order. The staff in the front are quick and for the most part seem friendly. If you order a breakfast combo be prepared to wait. When I finally got my mels, one order was wrong. Now I have to wait some more for the correct one. I think you're good if you just order baked goods. Quick and easy.

Cindi Y.

Yelp
The worst service ever. If they know you you can skip the line. The women are disrespectful and rude.

Robert L.

Yelp
Excellent bakery ,best croquetas in town. The custard in their cake is just delicious. People who usually don't like cuban cake love their cake. Affordable birthday's packages

Jimmy M.

Yelp
This is the best bakery in Miami everything is always fresh the staff is great and i love the home-made croquetas and the roast pork on the weekends are simply the best, highly recomended to everyone who enjoys fresh and delicious pastries

Joe I.

Yelp
Great Bakery! Always fresh. Check out the breakfast food as well. Generous portions. Unfortunately the service is not on par. I serveral times witnessed argument between the staff. Very unprofessional. A customer chimed in one time and told them to cut the shit. Literally.

Patty C.

Yelp
The ladies here work hard at giving fast yet personalized service. The food is always fresh & they do not cut back on ingredients. Must try their homemade croquette, although the regular ones are great too!!

Mabel F.

Yelp
First time here, randomly. Sandwich will have me coming back, and the dark chocolate tiramisu was a little dry but has potential. If you don't speak Spanish, you'd need to bring someone to translate, or have them on the phone to translate for you.

Raul V.

Yelp
Great place to start your day! Every time I visit Miami, I mk it a Pt to stop by. Pastelillos, pan de bono, empanadas and my favorite - mamey shake. Staff have always been courteous.

Jenny H.

Yelp
Best bakery in Miami. Randomly found this place and learned its a local favorite. Close to FIU. Delicious! Try the ham and cheese croissants and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Pierre F.

Yelp
We were waiting for a toast and coffee. The toast was dirty on the bottom and it was returned. The host began to talk about how in our third world country we would eat trash. This place is despicable.

Reginald A.

Yelp
Good, dependable selection, fresh and with a great staff, manager came chasing after me in the parking lot, because I left a coffee behind and this was being open during a hurricane warning. With bakeries almost around every corner, catering to a specific clientèle the good ones survive the great ones like this thrive. To an unaccustomed eye it looks like total chaos, as there is no 'queue' but more of a throng, but everyone gets served in turn ( I only say this 'cause it's fun to bring tourist and watch their reaction - though the numbering system ruins the magic a bit).
