La Smorfia

Personally, I thought the pizza was really good — unique flavors with a subtle floral touch. Unfortunately, the carbonara didn’t work for me and wasn’t very enjoyable.

What an amazing find this place was!! We did not make a booking and were welcomed into the restaurant by friendly staff. The atmosphere was lovely and vibrant for a Tuesday evening. We are English-speaking and the gentleman serving our table spoke no English, but this honestly didn’t matter at all! He was so friendly and cheerful and between us all, we managed to order what we wanted and even have a few laughs together. The menu is online and you can easily use google to just translate it to English. We all ordered pizzas and it was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The dough was incredible and all of the toppings were so fresh and tasty. One of us ordered a HUGE pizza (the Tricolore) - I highly recommend this if you want to try a few different pizzas as a group. I would go back to Italy just to have this pizza!!!

If you’re in Modena and looking for classic Neapolitan pizza, this pizzeria in the city center is a must-visit! Despite its spacious and cozy hall, the highlight is undoubtedly the pizza – perfectly baked, flavorful, and true to tradition. A fantastic spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Highly recommended!

Pizza here is fantastic, but the octopus was also superb. Sfizio was fresh and quite unique.

Local pizzeria that feels authentic and has ok prices. They have a lot of seating in the garden which was very nice in the evening. The service was the best i have ever experienced in Italy. For the real Modena experience I recommend the old Modena pizza and a glass of Falanghina 👌

La Smorfia is excellent. Super nice pizzas with a crispy base. They have a Carlos Sainz (F1 Driver Pizza). You might lucky but I would highly recommend booking.

Outstanding. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Fluffy and flavoursome dough with creamy buffalo stracciatella, it's a masterclass in pizza making. I had the Mortadella e Pistacchio and loved it. The waiter was so helpful in explaining the menu and offering helpful suggestions and I loved the presentation of desserts at the end (I chose the delizia al limone). Very relaxed and authentic atmosphere also. It's really worth a visit if you're visiting Modena and fancy a quality pizza & service.

The most amazing pizzeria! From the friendly and helpful staff to the absolutely amazing food - cannot recommend more! The pizza by the meter is also worth it for sharing or a particularly hungry individual!
