La Società Milano

"Situated near Porta Venezia and its lush gardens, Giulia and Andrea’s restaurant boasts a warm and original ambience. Three dining rooms adorned with tapestries and an entrance with a fine white marble fireplace act as the setting for Mediterranean cuisine with the occasional exotic twist. Don’t miss the amberjack caponata in which the ceviche flavours contrast with the sweetness of the fried breaded aubergine." - Michelin Inspector

I’m about to turn 50, and I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We arrived right when La Società opened, and for a while, we had the place almost to ourselves—it felt like a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. From the start, the service was outstanding. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The meal began with bread and butter, but not just any butter—this one was infused with honey and herbs, and the bread itself was packed with flavor. It was clear from the first bite that we were in for something special. Every dish was unique and unlike anything I’ve had before. I ordered the tuna dish, even though I’ve been let down by tuna more times than I can count. But this one blew me away—beautifully balanced, flavorful, and easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. If we had found this place on our first day in Milan instead of our last, I would’ve happily eaten here every day. Truly unforgettable. And the decor is awesome as well!

Interesting concept of restaurants. However the fixed menu should be explained in advance. As well as a super hot ( red chilli 🌶️🌶️🌶️) dish should be highly notified way way in advance because some of clients might have a problem. As well we were not asked about the cocktail start and we were forced to proceed with the wine. The table near the cuisine and toilet as well disappointed us because all waiters continuously passed every 2-3 min near us to take in or out new plates plus other people continuously went to the toilet. The experience could be much better. Imho.

A gem in Milano. For food, atmosphere, wine, cocktails. A whole experience, and friendly but professional service by a dedicated team in love of Food and design. You can have a Tiramisu made I front of you by the chef. Love the decoration and design of the living room. Giulia and Chef Andrea are orchestrating one of the best place on Earth. Ask Giulia about Gins ! They have an awesome selection of Gins.

Overall the restaurant was a disappointment. We reserved online and once we got there, even if the restaurant was almost empty, we were not allowed to sit in the front area of the restaurant, we had to go way in the back.. we did not want that. The person serving us was the chef himself, which is very strange. He served throughout the whole dinner.. however at all times with an attitude. From the moment we sat down he told us that he will take care of us, but without explaining anything. We had to keep on asking for a menu, for any directions on what should we expect. He did not like that. It seemed like he would choose the food for us. I understand that this concept exists, but tell us ahead of time! There is no information about this while booking. We ended up discovering that there was a 5 or 8 courses preset menu after but the chef kept on rolling his eyes at every question we had, no patience! He talked very loud with every table he’d serve, so loud that all the tables would stop their own conversation.. The food was below average. For such a high cost place, of course the food should match in taste, flavor, quality. It was a big disappointment.. each dish had a lot of ingredients but somehow their flavors weren’t bought into the final dishes.. We would not return or recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing experience. We've been traveling in Italy for several weeks and this was probably one of our best dining experiences. The chef and owner were incredibly friendly, the service was superb along with the ambiance of the restaurant and the drinks were delicious but the real star was the food. Everything we ate was magical! Especially recommend getting the tiramisu, as it comes with a special surprise! The price seemed justified for the quality of food and service we received, pretty in line with what you should expect in most major cities. Overall, I would highly recommend!

Google
Our experience was exceptional, heavenly even. Giulia and Andrea made us feel at home, and we were blown away by the creative, delicious flavor combinations of Andrea's beautiful dishes. This by far exceeded the level of meals we've previously had at Michelin star restaurants. The food, the atmosphere, the wonderful service, even the immaculate bathrooms - do yourself a favor and have dinner at the La Societá Milano.

I cannot rave about this place enough! We discovered it by accident - and the food, service, decor, wine list were all amazing. They are an amazing husband and wife team who run a great restaurant with amazing food. You must go!

Yelp
The beef opera was all fat and very difficult to cut through. Didn't eat it at all and sent it back. I thought they would bring a new piece but they didn't and took 20 euro off the bill for it, but still we didn't eat it. I would not recommend the beef. The rest of our meal and service were great.

Yelp
The drinks were amazing, above and beyond! But the food was not as promising as the drinks. The petroleo pasta was not our favorite but the irish beef was good. The I love Now York tastes like a sneakers! Would recommend for drinks only.

Yelp
We are so lucky we stumbled into this gem! My girlfriend, Jade, and I were in Milan for fashion weekend and ended up walking by this restaurant while on the go. We thought it was very "cute" and "perfect for our girls night" that evening so we went to change and headed back for supper and cocktails. So glad we did! Julia and staff were so fantastic, warm and charming I would recommend to anyone!! The cocktails were unique, and yes we tried six, so I believe this is an accurate depiction. We ordered the ricotta flan and veggies for the starts and the ricotta was to die for. Veggies - meh, save it for the main course! For mains we ordered the gnocchi, the spaghetti tartare and a mussel and bean dish from Naples. The gnocchi and the spaghetti were the main stars; utterly fantastical, but the mussel dish was very odd. A sort of cannelloni bean type soup with pasta noodles. But they were very gracias when I explained I didn't care for it. Lastly, we finished with the tiramisu and wow wow wow! I have never experienced a tiramisu served this manner. You know how in the States we can order "guacamole tableside" well in Milan at this place it's tiramisu tableside. So cool and so so good!! Can't wait to come back and enjoy more incredible dishes!!!!! Thank you!!

Yelp
The restaurant looked lovely and very trendy, and the staff really wanted to make it right. However, we truly regret doing the 8-course tasting (No. 8 on the menu). I gravitated towards the description, "creative and imaginative," as this was intended to be a birthday treat. As the meals came out, we were shocked to be consistently provided with a "smoked fish" taste (ravioli, rice/risotto, and straight up fish). We expressed our disappointment in a kind way to the staff and they truly wanted to continue to make it better. However, at the end of the day this tasting didn't live up to the vision provided. The owner, who is passionate about her restaurant and kind to speak to us, explained that mackerel and eel are very distinct tastes, and it is something that foreigners may not understand. Despite the curious remarks, it was expected from us that a tasting menu should be unique and selective (as described on the menu), and also perhaps provide very different tastes. Also not to be total snob, but mackerel and eel aren't deemed superb options. In the end, seems as though the move is to order what speaks to you on the menu and avoid the tasting menu. We enjoyed the tiramisu and heard neighboring guests gasp with excitement about their meals. Just trying to be real.
