La Solana Boutique Hotel

If you want a lovely room right on the beach this is one of the few places in the area that you can walk out the door of your room and step into sand. You do need a car to stay here because there's not much else to do in the immediate area other than to enjoy the absolutely beautiful beach. The breakfasts were great, other meals on the restaurant were good, very clean, and great maid service. ||What brought down the review was the fact that the web site said free massage and hot tub, not true, and the fact that the patios right outside the room were very unprivate. We had kids playing on ours during the day.||But we really did love our stay here.

Bar/restaurant serving straight-forward, unsophisticated Uruguayan food at its best. Worth a visit mostly for its architecture & design than anything else. Definitely a place for riches.

This was our first visit to Punta del Este, and hopefully won't be our last. La Solana was a big part of the experience. The hotel is a stunning piece of mid-century architecture. Guests feel right at home, yet also at one with the ocean and the beach. In fact, it's one of the few hotels directly on the beach in Punta del Este. Opening the patio doors every morning to see the beach and smell the ocean was unforgettable. So was the service. Javier is a true hotelier.

No me quedé en el hotel, fui a una boda al atardecer. Absolutamente soñado casarse en este lugar con el Sol llegando al mar, la vista de Punta Ballena ( luego sus luces escalonadas llegar la noche) es maravillosa. El catering no sé si era del hotel, pero si fue así, delicioso. Recomendable lugar.

Es un hotel de 1947 remodelado con muy buen gusto y con solo 5 habitaciones, todas con vista al mar. Desde la cama se puede ver la puesta del sol. La habitación y el baño son grandes y cómodos. Se puede bajar a la playa directamente desde la habitación. El personal es muy atento, el desayuno es muy completo y en el parador se come riquísimo. El hotel cierra fuera de temporada pero en la planta alta tiene un departamento para 4 personas, todo equipado y con una vista al mar soñada, que queda abierto todo el año. Muy recomendable para pasar unos días de relax.

Fue una estadia muy grata en un hotel que encierra un secreto. Tiene una historia detras de arquitectura catalana que le agrega un toque inesperado. La remodelacion no contrasta con el estilo original. Por cierto la habitacion muy comoda, con una terraza practicamente sobre el mar que le da un amplitud mayor y que permite disfrutar de la vista al mar en primer plano. Muy atento el personal, siempre cordial. Muy bueno el desayuno y muy recomendable el parador Bonet para almorzar o cenar. Y la playa a un paso con servicio de reposeras y sombrilla. Lugar para estacionar. Todo muy satisfactorio. Volveria sin dudar.
