La Spot - Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Brioche is the sandwich bread of choice at La Spot, a Spanish-inspired Fitzrovia restaurant, and they’ll be stuffing it with slow-cooked oxtail and Spanish red prawns, as well as serving octopus hot dogs and tapas. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Sinéad Cranna

Came for dinner with a friend over the weekend and we had a good experience overall. The presentation of the Octopus Hot Dog and the two brioche buns were simply remarkable, and they tasted quite nice as well. We were just a little bit disappointed that the brioche buns weren’t toasted though they felt super soft as we bit into them. They would have tasted a lot better if the brioche buns were toasted and crispy on the outside. The Truffle Fries were freshly made and still piping hot when served. The Padron Peppers were delicious though we found them to be a bit too salty after having a few more. Nice vibe in the restaurant during dinner time, would definitely love to come back to try out their lunch menu sometime in the near future.

Highly recommend for any semi-private special events ! I hosted a birthday dinner in the upstairs mezzanine for 13 people, and it couldn’t have been better. The space is cozy, feels private, and can be arranged however you like - I had a long dinner table plus a wine table for welcome drinks. After reviewing all the restaurants on Charlotte Street, the combination of space, team, and reasonable pricing made La Spot the clear choice. The team was incredible. I was free to decorate as I wished, and they even provided mini vases to help with the setup. Service was thoughtful and attentive throughout. The food exceeded expectations - absolutely delicious, beautifully curated, and dietary needs were handled seamlessly. A huge thank you to Christina (the GM) and the whole team for making the evening so special and memorable !

Tried the Octopus Hot Dog 🌭 – a unique twist featuring slow-cooked octopus, onion marmalade, Makato cheese, crispy potato, and paprika, all in a toasted brioche. Note the octopus was quite chewy so I wasn’t able to bite it off but had to cut it with cutlery. . We also shared: 🧆 Jamón Croquettes – creamy Iberian ham bites with alioli 🥔 Patatas Bravas – classic hand-cut fries with brava sauce and alioli 🍟 Truffle Fries – topped with white truffle alioli & Manchego 🍗 Chicken Brioche – pulled chicken with confit piquillo pepper & Briquele cheese in soft brioche . The food is generally your ‘fast food’ option, a bit greasy (at least the options we had). . 📍 LA SPOT, 18 Charlotte Street, Soho 🚇 Closest tube: Tottenham Court Road (5-min walk) 💷 Dishes range from £5–£16 . Tapas-style plates and a fun Soho vibe.

I was walking past on my way to university when I spotted this cozy place. I had been craving churros, so when I saw the menu, I made a mental note to check it out after class. The plating was stylish, and the taste was absolutely delicious! I will definitely revisit to enjoy more churros and sample other meals. I finished my visit with a glass of punchy, tropical, and wonderfully crisp Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Christina was our hostess, and I really appreciated the service!

This is a really nice place tugged away in a residential area just outside St.Tropez. We arrived around 8pm and didn’t struggle to find parking. We drove just past the restaurant slightly down the hill and there was some free parking available there. There was enough seating and we were helped straight away. The food was amazing, a simple menu, but what we had was really good and all at a very competitive price. The hosts were very attentive. There is nothing I could find that could be better so highly recommend this place.

Tried La Spot for the first time and loved it. The chicken brioche was so soft and full of flavour. Cosy vibe and friendly service too - definitely one of Soho’s underrated gems.

Absolutely fantastic spot! The food is amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. Plus, the crowd is great—friendly and lively, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best places for delicious food at a great price. Brioche was soft and buttery, seafood was made to perfection and the interiors and ambience is top notch. Not to mention the wine bar downstairs! Staff is super friendly and accommodating and overall I just can’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be back!
