I absolutely loved our breakfast this morning! The food was delicious, especially the fluffy pancakes topped with fresh berries and a drizzle of Nutella. Our waiter was exceptional—very attentive and friendly, making sure our coffee cups were never empty. Plus, the host who seated us greeted us with a warm smile and a cheerful demeanor that set a positive tone for our meal. Overall, it was a delightful experience that left us feeling satisfied and happy!

Lia was phenomenal! Came here for the last dinner of our honeymoon and couldn't have ended on a better note. The food and drinks were delicious, it's a beautiful space, and felt it was an excellent value for the money we spent. We highly recommend La Strada!

I can’t say enough good things about my dining experience! The food was absolutely divine, with every dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. But what truly elevated the evening was Brianna’s exceptional service. She was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she had such a warm and welcoming presence. Thank you, Brianna, for making the night so special—you’re a gem!

La Strada at the Elderado Hotel Casino is a great Italian Restaurant. The food that we had was outstanding and the service even better! We loved Brianna! Her and her brother were wonderful servers. We will be back soon.

Wow! The potential that this place could have to be the #1 Italian restaurant destination in the Reno area is limitless. Unfortunately, the reality is quite a distance away from this marker. A fairly busy Friday evening we expected to watch bit for a table and we did. Once seated it took a good 15 mins for someone to acknowledge us and bring water. Finally, the bartender came over to ask if anyone had helped us yet. We let her know that we were ready to order. She didn't have a pen or anything to write on so she said she would remember. We ordered and she repeated it back. We waited another 15 mins and the assistant brought some bread. We wolfed down the bread and our waters were empty. We again did not have anyone check on us for another 15/20 mins. Our waters were refilled and we asked for more bread. The bartender came over again to ask how the appetizers were. We hadn't been served any yet. So she went back to check on them. She returned immediately with the plate of frito misto and our shared caeaser salad. Clearly the appetizer had been sitting under the warmer as it was obvious that it didn't just come out of the fryer. The Calamari was over cooked. The salad was looking a bit old. The dressing looked dry on the romaine and was also clearly sitting for awhile. Service was so S L O W! At this point we had finished our salad and appetizer. She came back to let us know that there was a "mix-up" in the kitchen and wanted us to repeat our entree orders. (Was this truly the case or did she forget our orders since she didn't write anything down? I'm not sure but...) Other customer's orders were brought out way before ours who arrived significantly later than us. Once we got our food the Entrees looked like they had also sat under the warmer for a bit. We Had to ask for bread for the third time. By now our wine glasses were empty but not once did they ask if we wanted another glass. The shrimp ala vodka sauce was decent. I ordered the Orcchicette with broccolini and Italian sausage. While eating I found a shrimp shell in my food! That's kinda weird eh? Overall, it was a huge disappointment. I realize that they were short handed but the service was horrible. The food delayed and it affected the taste and visual presentation. I probably won't return for awhile especially unless I get feedback that big changes have happened. I hate to hold this against them but they need to step up the game for the prices that they are asking. Shrimp shell in the sausage pasta dish. Orcchicette

Christopher is THE BEST server I have ever had there and in general! He was so friendly and accommodating. He even sang a song for my parent's anniversary. His voice is beautiful. The food was outstanding as usual. Thank you for the wonderful evening Christopher!

La strada is perfect for a quiet and romantic dinner. Keith was our waiter and he was phenomenal and attentive. He was a pleasure. He kept my wine flowing and had wonderful recommendations for our plates. Truly a nice experience, highly recommend if you’re hoping for a peaceful escape with top notch service.

Google
I truly enjoyed La Strada. The mushroom ravioli was packed with flavor. Many places offer flavorless mushroom dishes but La Strada truly delivers with this dish. The Chicken Mattone was equally delicious, moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented with broccolini. I'm definitely returning to La Strada. The staff was professional and courteous.

Yelp
Drove up to Reno for a convention and stayed at the El Dorado Hotel. I had seen the signs about La Strada had the best pasta in the country. Needless to say, my daughter and I were intrigued. So, we made a reservation on the last night we were there. We arrived and were seated immediately and it wasn't super busy like i anticipated but there were a good amount of tables. We had a friendly and sweet waitress which makes all the difference in the world. In fact, the entire staff were so friendly. We were greeted by everyone there and a very attentive staff. Now, on to the food!!! We had the following: Calamari Frutti - 10/10 Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo- 9/10 Lasagna - 9/10 Seafood Linguine- 9/10 Spaghetti Bolognese - 9/10 Overall, we had a phenomenal dinner there. If we are ever back, we will definitely be back!! Highly recommend trying out!

Yelp
We were looking for a nice dinner for our last night in Reno . We decided to dine at La Strada . We made reservations on Open table . We arrived at our appointed time . We were quickly seated . We were greeted by a few of the staff . :) Nice large restaurant. I noticed many awards the restaurant have won over the recent years . We were seated and served water and a really large bread basket . Very fresh and yummy bread sticks and garlic bread . We met our server Jacob . So, knowledge and friendly . He made our dining experience extra special:) . We started with some drinks a Pinot Griso Pinot Noir, and a Guava Refresher. Very tasty ! I had the La Strada Salad to start - nice salad. I had the Chicken Parmigiana really moist and nice breading and sauce . It came with polenta and veggies. My Hubby and our friend had the Veal parmigiana chop w/ a side of fettuccine w/ meat sauce . The meal also came with polenta . They absolutely loved their meals . Our other friend ordered the Mattone it came with potatoes and veggies . She said it was really good . So, really a great meal at a very reasonable price. With amazing service and ambience.

Yelp
We go to La Strada every time we are in Reno. Service is consistently amazing and food is soo delicious. Bread is always fresh and fluffy. Pasta is soo good and their meat sauce and meatballs are easily our fave meal. Calamari and mussels are fresh and just absolutely delicious. Dessert is soo good with the coffee to match. Always a must when staying at El Dorado. Cleanest restaurant ever with the best staff. Very busy restaurant but staff always accommodates and attentive.

Yelp
Food tasted really good. Service was great, fast, and friendly. Ambiance was nice, and quiet. For the price this place was good. Very busy, but good service. 5 stars Seafood Linguine. Lots of seafood. Linguine was nicely cooked. White wine sauce had a nice flavor that complimented the seafood well. The bread basket that comes with this was pretty good also.

Yelp
For a casino restaurant in Reno this place is definitely a departure from the usual. We had a reservation for 24 people and due to unexpected circumstances we were running late, yet the restaurant was very understanding and accommodating. We called and kept them advised and we really appreciated their assistance. Placed at three tables of eight my group was placed in a private dining room and it was delightful. The ambiance is very Tuscan Mediterranean and it's quite large. It's a higher level tablecloth type restaurant. Seated comfortably we perused the very well thought out menu, obviously Italian. It's also pricier, but worth the cost for the value. We ordered bottles of red wine and the array of choices was quite good, albeit on the pricier side again. Toasted garlic bread was brought to the table, and for my meal I ordered the Ceasar salad and the special and widely acclaimed mushroom ravioli. All of it was excellent. The salad was fresh and very well dressed. I'm not a huge fan of a Ceasar but this really hit the spot. The ravioli was exceptional and delicious. The pasta was freshly made and the mushroom filling was just right. Topping it off with a sauce and herbs fit the dish perfectly. It wasn't over sauced or overembellished. Some freshly ground pepper added some to the flavors. We ended the meal with a dessert and coffee. The service was outstanding. They are professional, personable and on top of their game. Our waiter even sang Happy Birthday in Italian to one of our party celebrating it. LaStrada is a good find and I'd definitely go back. I was quite impressed.

Yelp
Our recent visit to La Strada was disappointing. Service was not as expected for a high end restaurant. Food was OK, bread basket was not fresh. Limited desert options. The restaurant has darker lighting. There are better restaurants in Reno. We will not return to La Strada.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Eldorado in Reno and decided to eat here for dinner.  We ordered Spaghetti with veal meatballs and Insalata La Strada.  They provided a complimentary bread basket, which was really good.  When I placed the order, I told the server that my husband wasn't hungry and wasn't planning to eat.  He took it upon himself to have the order split (at an extra charge for both the spaghetti and salad!), which was not cool.  The food was good, but the extra charges were annoying!

Yelp
Excellent service and good food. The ambiance was lovely, too! After leaving La Famiglia unserved the prior evening, we decided to celebrate my birthday at La Strada. It was a good meal starting with the Caesar salad and tomato soup. Both were delightful! My daughter ordered the shrimp with curly pasta which was amazing, best dish of the night. Mom got scallops but substituted the risotto from the other risotto dish. She was happy with it. I got the lamb which was quite good. They were accommodating to my gluten free requests. The dessert was not great. The creme brûlée was the best of the bunch.. we had tiramisu, hazelnut pear chocolate tart. The chocolate was cold and difficult to eat. All in all it was nice to have a birthday dinner at a nice Italian restaurant.

Yelp
The staff at La Strada were very attentive. We had originally got one chicken fettuccine Alfredo to share because we weren't that hungry but we ended up ordering a second one to go because of how tasty it was! Would visit again

Yelp
Ate here for Christmas dinner and made reservations for 5:15 pm. We got seated immediately so it seemed they were not fully booked for the night. Let me go review the food. For an Italian restaurant, they offered complimentary bread that was more like garlic bread. No plain bread and no olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was soaked with garlic butter and was fine. Nothing special but was a good supplement with my main course. 3 stars We had the soup of the day which was broccolini if I recall. It was good, not too creamy or watery. Though I added some pepper to enhance the flavor. 5 stars For the main course, my wife had the mushroom ravioli which she enjoyed. I tried one and had a chocolatey taste to it which I was surprised with. It can get cold quickly. 5 stars My main course was the chicken parmigiana. It consisted of 2 chicken breasts. To me, it was okay. The portion was huge and came with polenta and asparagus. If I can be honest, I wasn't that impressed with the flavor since it seemed a bit bland and I left 1/4 of the parmagiana on my plate. 3 stars We did have the gelato and sorbet for dinner which we enjoyed. 4 stars Ambiance- 5 stars . Although because of the dim lights, not great to take pics of your spouse at the table. Service was fast and efficient . 4 stars Would I go back? Probably not since I didn't think the food was anything special and having been to Rome, Italy. I felt the food didn't represent true Italian food but was more akin to what you can expect from Olive Garden.

Yelp
A delightful dinner after a concert with 6 friends. We were given a private dining area and a wonderful server. I had the fabulous and famous mushroom ravioli. Started with the La Strada salad. The salad was swimming in dressing as was one of my friends Caesar ( next time I'll ask for dressing in the side) The ravioli lived up to its reputation! I will try the meatball ravioli next time-one of my friends ordered that and it was amazing! No complaints from anyone in our group-

Yelp
La Strada at the Eldorado in Reno is a must-visit for Italian food lovers! Their shrimp is a perfect balance of salty and savory, while the spaghetti carbonara is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The mushroom ravioli--one of their signature dishes--has an incredible cream sauce that's absolutely indulgent. Don't skip the focaccia bread appetizer, which is warm, fluffy, and filled with cheese, served with fig jam. The ambiance is elegant yet cozy, and the service was top-notch. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish! It was our first visit however we will be back.

Yelp
As always, a wonderful meal! Been coming here for probably 15+ years. The food is delicious and the service is spot on. Thank you Lexi and Isabel for another memorable evening.

Yelp
Although this is not the best Italian restaurant in town, is definitely solid. The ambience is very nice with great music, and the service is always remarkable. We came at five with a reservation and got promptly seated at opening. They brought a basket of bread. The little twist breads are wonderful, however the garlic bread in the basket with it is just not that great..they should think of another bread to replace that ...it is just not that good, and I feel a waste of bread as I noticed a lot of other patrons were not eating it also. I ordered the Mushroom ravioli as always and hub likes the Uncle Willie's ravioli. We both liked our dishes a lot. No room for desert or appetizers for us as these large plates of food are more than adequate. I will be back..dreaming and hoping they get a different bread..

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday here recently and had a great experience. For appetizer, we got the prosciutto-wrapped prawns. While tasty, I wouldn't highly recommend due to the price/count of four for the plate. The breadsticks and bread are one of the best parts of the meal - the cheesy breadstick is my family's love language. We always ask for extra! As for meals, I ordered the carbonara and was in heaven. I've been on a carbonara kick lately, but not sure why I haven't tried it here before! The noodles were so fresh, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was so creamy and flavorful. Other favorites at the table were the meat raviolis, the pappardelle bolognese, and the chicken parmesan. We ordered the cannoli as a dessert and were able to cut them up and share easily amongst four people. The wait staff, as always, were professional and attentive. The ambiance is great. The food was better than usual. This Italian restaurant will continue to be a staple in our household.

Yelp
Tough night for the LaStrada team. Down their head chef and at least two servers; this equated to a very long dinner visit with super slow service. We waited quite a while to have our water refilled and for our appetizers. The Cesar salad tastes good but was small, and unfortunately didn't have the anchovies on top that the menu boasted. After what seemed like forever, our server (doubling as the bartender) came back to tell us "there was a mix up with the tickets' and she needed to ask what we ordered so she could put it in. Mind you....prior to getting our appetizers, a couple was seated next to us and had actually ordered and almost completed their meal by this time! They also didn't have the one dish I was really hoping for, nor did they ever offer to refill my empty wine glass. While I can't say that I won't ever try La Strada again, I'm confident that it may be awhile..

Yelp
Enjoyed my dining at the La Strada inside the Eldorado building. The Restaurant front has a beautiful 1300 lbs bronze sculpture of a boat and with it a tragic story of this boar's untimely demise . However, it is the beginning of a love story. Touch the boar's nose for good luck. The service is outstanding. The food was great~ the clams were especially delicious and so was the tiramisu. Must try! The servers sing in Italian for birthdays. The bill came out to be around $400 for 5 people and tip at $100. Not too bad for a fancy night out. We had 5 appetizers, 1 dessert, 2 entrees, 2 bottles of really sweet ice wine for a group of five; family style. What's wonderful is that you don't have to leave the building to eat here from the Eldorado Hotel Suites. It's in the mezzanine area, and we can stay warm and dress as we like. And can drink all we want and go back to bed safe. Though I did not exercise that behavior.

Yelp
It was a big miss for us compared to some reviews here. Our server was nice and quick, but the food was below average unfortunately. It was a bummer because I've always wanted to try this place. We walked in and it wasn't busy. This place is huge and also has their own bar which is nice. The food was the most disappointing. I ordered the mussels in red sauce and I ate so much sand and kept giving each mussel thereafter a try. More sand or broken shells. I saw some broken shells immediately and sort of had a hunch. I ended up returning it, as I actually hurt my tooth from this. Still recovering few days later. Husband ordered side of meatballs (good deal for $7). They were good, nothing outstanding. For the price, I would get it again as a side. He also got par parpadelle with meat sauce. It was average. I almost traded my dish for the baked ziti but it just wasn't a good experience. We are Diamond status and we couldn't get our locals discount in addition to paying with rewards credits. I would say to join for a reasonably priced meal but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Maybe it's hit or miss on the dishes.

Yelp
5 stars for La Strada! The moment you enter you forget that you're in a casino restaurant. The decor is beautiful, there's soft, relaxing lighting, and a calm atmosphere. We made a reservation just in case but it was a Sunday evening so it was not too crowded. Our server Christopher was great. Checked on us often, but not enough to interrupt the meal, and they made sure we had everything we needed. A basket of bread was brought out that had garlic bread and soft breadsticks, a delicious start to the meal. We then ordered the fried artichoke with garlic aioli appetizer. It was delicious and definitely enough to share! For my entree, the Mushroom Ravioli, which I loved. The sauce was delicious and the raviolis were stuffed with mushroom. It was a very filling meal but I did not skip dessert. Tiramisu was wonderful, don't hesitate to order it! I found the prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. La Strada is a restaurant I would come back to anytime!

Yelp
We spend our anniversary celebration dinner at La Strata. As you walk in the restaurant, you walk under the stars like down the streets of Italy. It is a very romantic restaurant. There is a candle on the cloth covered tables. They have an extensive wine list and some signature cocktails. They bring garlic bread and bread sticks, and you can get balsamic and oil to dip them in. They are the perfect appetizer. I ordered the linguine and seafood. There were clams, octopus, muscles in a white wine sauce. It was so good. Service was good until it was time for the check. We waited for an extra 15 min just to get the check. Hard to sit there for an extra 15 min when you dont even have any water left to drink. Not sure what happened.

Yelp
My fiancée and I considered dining here to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I was pleased to find out there wasn't much of a wait when I called on a Friday evening. The ambiance seemed romantic and perfectly suited for the occasion. However, we've always avoided this restaurant in the past because they serve veal, which we find deeply troubling. After some thought, we decided that our moral values outweigh the desire for a romantic meal. Supporting a place that serves veal just didn't feel right, so we chose to celebrate elsewhere.

Yelp
The mushroom ravioli is a must try! We went here for date night and the food was great, however, the service not so much. At least not from our waiter. We received more accommodation from the busboy and I made sure to go out of my way and provide him with the tip since our waiter forgot about us the entire time. (And no he wasn't busy. We seen him just standing around) I'd go back to try again though.

Yelp
It's a lightly dimmed posh Italian restaurant. It has a romantic and classy vibe. The service was great. The house bread was warm and already flavored. For the most part everything was great and flavorful. However the crab lobster ravioli wasn't that great, I'm not sure if it was the combo of it together or the ravioli but it was mediocre.
google avatar

Yelp
Very beautiful restaurant inside the casino. Clean, professional, outstanding service. Brianna was our server and she was amazing-attentive, helpful, so nice. The bacon wrapped prawns were really good. I especially enjoyed the brown beans & onions drizzled with oil & balsamic that made the bed for the prawns! The mushroom ravioli is pretty good, but overhyped without meat in my opinion. The sauce is excellent though. We had it on some lobster/crab ravioli that were delicious. The lasagna is good. Very meaty and saucy, which I really liked. What I didn't like was that the only cheese was just on top. Not a cheesy lasagna at all. I appreciate the shredded Parmesan! The complimentary garlic bread is terrible, I'm sorry . Served warm, but not very fresh. It's dry and not tasty. Skipped dessert, as nothing appealed on the menu. Great overall and the marinara paired very nicely with our red wine.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner with friends at La Strada in the El Dorado Resort & Casino. The restaurant is lovely and mimics and Italian street with dining under the stars. Open kitchen adds an authentic vibe and the service was impeccable. We started with mushroom ravioli and a charcuterie platter- beautiful presentation! Both were delicious. Husband had the seafood pasta loaded with seafood - I had the veal parmigiana! Wow, so delicious and a ton of food! Dessert was tiramisu which was equally delicious! If you're looking for a nice romantic Italian dinner - you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I don't believe I've ever had such excellent service from waiters in my life. I had always assumed that a Michelin-starred or really exclusive restaurant would provide me with that kind of service, but La Strada surprised me by providing it. And all of that is a result of our wonderful server Keith. Keith took care of business as usual, bringing out our chairs so we could take a seat. But when I was transferring my napkin and cutlery to a new chair, his attention to detail and concern for his customers became apparent. Keith stopped me right away to expertly set the table settings. He then assisted me in taking off my coat and placing it back on when I started to get cold. When the belt from my coat accidentally dangled down to the floor, Keith notified and quickly gathered it into my seat. Of course he was just as attentive to our food and drinks, always refilling before I ever hit the bottom. Basically, I didn't dare lift a finger if Keith could help it! Onto the food. We had the Steak Fiorentina and Risotto with Pan seared scallops. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly the way I liked it. The accompanying salad was a great idea as it provided some freshness. The risotto was creamy and lemony, just the way I liked it! But the scallops left some to be desired as it didn't seem fresh because of the strong taste of baking soda. But the deliciousness of the risotto made up for it. I don't want to forget to mention the beauty of the restaurant. I found myself transfixed on a mural of a Southern Italian countryside the entire dinner that made me ardently wish I was there. But the most unique part of the restaurant were the glittering indoor stars that lined the ceiling. They aren't your typical glow-in-the-dark star stickers but seemed to be LED lights on a velvet-black ceiling. It made for a romantic scene. La Strada has been around for a while because they made a name for themselves as one of the classic, upscale restaurants in Reno. I hope to visit it more often in the future.

Yelp
This was the third visit to La Strada for my husband and me. I enjoyed the Black Cod and he had the lasagna. My favorite dish in my 3 visits was the pasta with shrimp in vodka sauce. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Come hungry!!

Yelp
There was a good variety of food choices. The fettuccine alfredo was good, I added the grilled chicken which was very bland and no seasoning which was disappointing. The baked ziti was phenomenal according to my husband, the baked ziti did come in a dish that had cracks running through it. The service was great. It was disappointing to see they do not follow the business casual attire dress code they have, many people came in wearing flip flops, tank tops, shirts and even workout clothes. Given this place is inside a casino that may be why they are more lax about what people are wearing into their dining establishment.

Yelp
Our group went to La Strada for a family reunion recently. The cafe was busy and the ambiance was lovely. Brianna was our waitress. She was very helpful in helping us select appetizers and main dishes. We had a great dinner with a large variety of items from steaks to seafood. La Strada is a cozy and lively spot to relax and eat well. We've been going to La Strada for 25 years and it never disappoints. The rib eye steak, veal marsala and mushroom raviolis were terrific.

Yelp
La Strada has been in the Eldorado Hotel & Casino for as long as I can remember. I can't recall going there to eat, although I've eaten their food at Cin Cin happy hour many, many times During lunchtime La Strada hosted the Prospector's Club, again for many years. Having a relative that was a member, I did eat here many times .. although I think it offered a slightly different menu. And the food was always really good. La Strada has been widely known for their Mushroom Ravioli, which I've had at Cin Cin many times. So I was somewhat disappointed with them on my last visit. They were good, but I expected amazing. And another person had the Uncle Willie's Ravioli.. how could ravioli with meat sauce be dry .. but it was Yet the Veal Osobuco was amazing, as was the special of the day .. Filet & Shrimp. The Veal Picata was tender and good but it had a cream sauce rather than a wine sauce.

Yelp
We had a date night here on a Saturday night. We made the reservation online and tried to park in the garage but that didn't work out. We ended up using the valet and made it to our reservation right on time. We were seated promptly with a view of the kitchen. Jack was our server and made our dinner experience special. We asked for a recommendation on a red and ended up with Avignonesi Nobile (picture attached) that went perfect with our meal. We started with La Caprese, fresh buffalo mozzarella, vine ripe tomatoes, basil & EVOO. Splitting the salad was perfect. I had the Veal Picatta which was heavenly and my husband had the Veal Marsala, also very good but we both preferred my dish. We were too full for desert but that did not stop me from ordering the Tiramisu to take home, which by the way was amazing. Our bus boy Zack was so attentive and made sure everything was in order each time he passed by. This was our second time here and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
After a long 2 days of snowboarding we stayed at el Dorado and we end up dinning at La Strada this was our 2nd time and we love it once again. Brianna the server and Ivan the assistant did an excellent job creating a wonderful experience. Brianna, was explaining all the dishes in detail in and honest and genuine way. She gave us a dessert on behalf of our 23-anniversary thanks! We will come back to La Strada next time we are in town :)

Yelp
Impromptu date night with honey. I'm craving ossobuco, and La Strada is one of the very few restaurants that serves this. I have a low tolerance for salt The ossobuco was perfectly seasoned to taste great yet not salty. If I want good Italian food without having to worry about my meniere's disease flaring up, I can always count on La Strada to deliver tasty meals without over salting. Bravo! Service was good, as usual. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner!

Yelp
I highly recommend La Strada whether you're celebrating an event or just a nice dinner out. We started with a cocktail in their cozy bar. Service was quick and the drinks were done to perfection (which isn't always the case at some places.) Our bartender was professional and personable. I love how their bar area is completely isolated away from the restaurant. For dinner we ordered the antipasto plate to share which had several types of meat and cheese. Very yummy. A basket of freshly baked bread sticks and garlic bread arrive about the same time. It was too good! I ordered the clams with linguini, one of my favorite dishes. They did not disappoint. My husband had the Orechiete in a pepper sauce. It too was delicious. We will be back!

Yelp
We had great service from everyone. The food was really good. It's pricey, but the experience was very nice. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
La Strada continually misses the mark for me. This restaurant is forgettable and yet I have family who come into town, that prefer to stay at The Row. With limited options we keep going back to La Strada. I have pretty much given up on the pasta dishes. This evening, my brother got the spaghetti dish and asked for no meatballs. He said that the spaghetti was too toothsome. We started with the mushroom ravioli, which in my opinion, taste bland. Another family member of mine got steak with vegetables and potatoes. The vegetables were terrible. They were over-charred and lacked any seasoning. :( The potatoes that come with the steak are constant miss for me as well. They can be gummy and the flavor is off to me. I decided to order Caesar salad and the lentil soup. The Caesar was fine, perhaps a little overdressed. The lentil soup was very good. I find that the service is usually good. La Strada is beautiful inside. I know I will have to keep returning to this restaurant. I will forgo most entrées anymore and just get a soup and salad.

Yelp
Came to La Strada for my birthday. Was greeted by the friendly hostesses and they had wished me a happy birthday. We were seated right away. Very cute and romantic ambiance! Service was good and very attentive. We had order some wine and the focaccia di recco to start with. Omg so good especially with the fig jam. The complimentary garlic bread was also very yummy. We ordered mushroom ravioli and the Cannelloni for our entrees. Both came out hot, tasted fresh and were super delicious! We didn't get dessert as we were too full, but we'll have to come back and save some room next time!

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! We had the chicken parm and the carbonara and both I would recommend. I suggest trying the wine flight as well!we loved all three that were brought out. The service was also great. We got seated at a table where it was a bit noisy and the manager came up to us without us even asking and asked us if we would like to move somewhere quieter. Our waitress was also fantastic and so sweet. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a great Italian restaurant.

Yelp
I dined here last night as part of a bachelorette party trip we took for a friend for the weekend, and picked this place because the menu looked like it had a lot of options and the prices were still decent enough. When we got there, we were seated immediately, and the overall environment is pretty great. They have sparkling lights meant to represent the stars of Italy, and our server was very kind and respectful. I personally ordered the Caesar Salad, and the Spaghetti Carbonara. Both tasted amazing, however that came back to bite me in the butt. I woke up at 3:30am today and got sick with food poisoning. Not sure which of the items it was, dirty lettuce from the salad or uncooked egg from the pasta, but it was such a disappointment that a place with such great staff and amazing looking food can make you sick hours later. Will probably not be back again because of this, but hopefully a staff member sees this and makes sure those items are properly cleaned and prepared for future guests!

Yelp
Every time we visit The Row, we always return to La Strata for dinner. We loved the toasted garlic bread they are hot and garlicky! The Caesars salad was v fresh this time AND not salty. My seafood linguine was great. The linguine was cooked just right (I had pasta here that was extremely el dente that it was hard to chew!) this time pasta was great! My husband has their special turf and surf. The filet was good but the fish (black cod) was an extremely thin slice! Otherwise the dinner was remarkable. Our server was Jack who has a good sense of humor. We shall return next visit and ordered the black cod off the regular menu instead!

Yelp
Went here with a group of people. I recommend making a reservation. Our waiter brought us out a basket of garlic bread which soft, garlicky and delicious. Started with drinks and an appetizer. Their version of an old fashion was pretty good. I ordered a few. The app I ordered was Bruschetta. Ohhhhh man was that good! For dinner I go the Orecchiette. It was pretty good. The sausage was very tasty and it had that perfect level of spice. The sauce was more light and liquidy versus thicker which isn't really my cup of tea. I really enjoyed it though. My fiancé ordered the Steak Fiorentina. It came on a bed of arugula with potatoes. It was very delicious. Everything was great and I enjoyed my experience.

Yelp
The food was bad, lasagna had a terrible taste like preservatives. The octopus had the texture of a tire, 2/10

Yelp
La Strada is located at the El Dorado Hotel. I've dined here several times and have been very satisfied with each visit. The price is right and the food is amazing. Service is great. I recommend reservations on the weekends. One of my favorites is their appetizer called "FOCACCIA DI RECCO. It is Stracchino Cheese Stuffed Focaccia bread with Culatta Prosciutto and a Fig Jam spread. A MUST HAVE when dining. You can thank me later..LOL!

Yelp
After walking by La Strada numerous times, we finally tried it for dinner. The interior is gorgeous and much bigger than it looks from the outside. The ambiance was very laid-back and romantic. Our server was friendly and attentive. Great service as he checked on us frequently. We started off with a fresh basket of bread. Yum! Then, we both ordered a side Caesar salad - the portion was really small but the dressing and croutons were awesome. I absolutely loved my mushroom ravioli - the pasta was thin and delicate, the filling and sauce was rich and full of amazing flavor. I only wish there were more ravioli! My husband's linguine and clams were good but we learned that the pasta is not housemade and dried (not fresh). The most disappointing part about dinner was my Old Fashioned cocktail: $14 of crushed ice and a tasteless drink. Still, I'd go back to La Strada again to try their other in-house made items.

Yelp
The second night in Reno, I had dinner at La Strada. I had made a reservation while on the bus and the place was quite full. I started with their soup of the day, cream of broccoli, enjoying it with some garlic bread. For the main, I chose the orecchiette. It was a hearty dish with roasted garlic, Italian sausage, broccolini, Calabrian red peppers, and ricotta salata. I haven't had orecchiette except with lighter sauces so this dish was new to me. My server asked me if spice was OK and I answered yes. The sausage was a hot type and with the red peppers, there was a good amount of heat to the dish. For some people, it would be too hot. For me, it was fine. The dessert I chose was sold out. My server said, "Let me see what the kitchen can do." He came back with a mixed berry cheesecake along with whipped Chantilly and orange marmalade on the side. This was a perfect ending to the meal. The cheesecake was very good and the dessert was a fitting replacement for the dessert they had sold out. Service was excellent. This was my best dining experience in Reno.
