La Suculenta

"Based around the mantra “Taste the unexpected”, this modern, centrally located restaurant run by chef Jorge Lengua (one of the promising new names on the Valencia food scene), offers contemporary-inspired cuisine that is showcased via well-presented dishes that make full use of modern techniques, such as the Iberian ham croquettes with “torrezno” (fried bacon) powder, and the Andalucian-style glass shrimp with fried egg and kimchi mayonnaise. The à la carte, which features lots of small plates, is complemented by an impressive array of rice dishes and several set menus." - Michelin Inspector

Around 8pm the place was completely empty around 9pm was full so it made the atmosphere nice and comfy.I ordered some fish and a stake the fish was pretty good personally liked it.But the stake was a-okay it was a bit chewy but not bad .The staff was amiable here really liked it helped us select absolutely delicious fruity wine.So overall a pretty nice place to visit.

Perfect place for lunch, dinner and any occasion! Absolutely amazing combination of flavours, each dish is rich, innovative and tasty! Loved it! Same chef as “Llavor” Restaurant. Both should be in your “must” list of places to eat in Benicasim and Castellon. I recommend the steak tartar in brioche bread and the eggs with small prawns. Make sure you have space for the Tiramisu!

One of our favorites. The interiors are well lit, stylish, and comfortable. The food is reliably well-prepared and the menu is interesting. Be sure to order rice in advance.

We went to La Suculenta for my wife's birthday with my aunt and uncle who were visiting from out of town. I was amazed at how good the food was. We had Iberian Ham Croquettes and the Semi-Cured Sea Bass Sashima starters along with fresh bread, all were amazing. My wife, who is celiac, had the Matured Galician Pork Chop with Potatoes as did my aunt and uncle and I had the Roe Deer and it was incredibly delicious, I could not believe how good the Roe Deer was as I have never tasted a venison dish crafted as good as this one was. For dessert I had Creamy Egg Yolk Flan, the best flan I've ever had. Chef Lengua has a fantastic menu of incredible dishes that taste so good. We also had two bottles of wine to compliment the food. The dining room is quite elegant. Absolutely the best restaurant I've eaten at in Benicassim and surrounding areas. This is a Michelin Guide restaurant but it deserves a Michelin STAR!

Nice decor, we enjoyed the tapas. The dish with goat cheese was fantastic. Super red wine. One of the better places we visited this week in Benicasim.

An unexpected surprise! We arrived without reservation on the new year's eve, hoping to find something to drink and eat. When we arrived the special dinner was almost over and the kitchen was about to close, but they were kind enough to let us sit and have a drink. We asked if there is anything we can eat and the waiter went to check with the kitchen and soon enough the chef himself came over to our table and asked if we like Russian salad. I don't like it too much but we were willing to give it a try, and I'm glad we did! It was really good and not a "just traditional" russian salad. We ate it all along with the wonderful bread they served! The kind chef saw our poor faces and offered us a few things to eat and finally suggested a steak, which was so good! very flavored and tasty. So we didn't eat a lot but from starting with only drinks we had a wonderful surprise to be able to taste a couple of dishes. The chef and the staff were really nice and at the end of the evening gave us the traditional grapes you eat to celebrate the new year and also a bag of goodies to celebrate the new year. We wished we could come again but unfortunately we didn't have time. I'm sure next time we are in town we will go again! Thank you for allowing us in and for taking such a good care of us! Happy New Year!
