"Within the medieval walled city, this is your best bet if you want to avoid the tourist traps. Up the stairs, you'll find the pared-back dining area leading onto a courtyard terrace for dining in fine weather. On the menu, traditional and modern go hand in hand: 64-degree egg, truffle and button mushrooms; cassoulet with Castelnaudary beans and duck confit; pavlova with seasonal fruit and vanilla mascarpone cream." - Michelin Inspector
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. We had the cassoulet and vegetarian risotto. Both delicious. Mainly French clientele which reflects to the quality of the experience. Busy but relaxed and attentive service

Our first taste of Cassoulet was in this restaurant and it set the bar so high! It was amazing
We also had Confit Lamb. It was also good but not as mind blowing .
We enjoyed the playfulness of mixing textures and tastes plus the presentation of our Entrees- Foie Gras. An overall great experience.
Check it out when you are in the area

Was very excited to have dinner here but the experience was just not good.
The only noteworthy dishes were the foie grass and the onion soup. The octopus had no taste, the duck casserole was just ok and the desserts were not good.
Service wise I was surprised not to be presented each dish (i.e. this dish is x, made with y and z...).
Finally the decor of the place was a miss in our opinion. The old city is so nice at night and they used none of that vibe inside the restaurant.

Do not hesitate to go!! The food and cocktails were divine and our entire table loved everything we tasted. Delicious, original, made with love and passion and a kind and generous team waiting on you. Thank you for your hard work and talent. It was greatly appreciated!!

I am speechless. I’ve been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and every single time the food just tastes even better than the last. Each dish is beautifully plated and extremely flavourful. There are two extremely different but popular dishes you must try from the menu. They are the “Oeuf 64° truffes champignons” & the Cassoulet. The first dish is definitely meant for any truffle lovers it’s so light and delicious and of course has the great flavour of the fresh truffle. The second dish is a hardier meal and it is a specialty of this region in France so A LOT of restaurants serve cassoulet but I need to say that it is made the best here. I love this place so much that I am glad I got the chance to take some friends who visited from the US to eat here and they were just blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Overall, I would 1000% recommend this restaurant on your next visit to Carcassonne or for any special occasion if you live here.

Fine but not mind-blowing. Perhaps our expectations were too high or maybe just poor luck with our palate, but we were both a little disappointed with our mains. The entrees were definitely the most impressive part of the pre-set menus.

We looked up restaurants nearby in Carcassonne that was mentioned in the Michelin guide and this restaurant showed up. The food was very good and original. The presentation was creative and beautiful, and the staff were attentive, service was excellent and they were very friendly. I can really recommend this place.

Yelp
Extraordinary dining experience ! I had the the Veal with Cèpes which was outstanding . The attention to details from the food presentation to the dinnerware was not unnoticed and very much something we feel must be part of any dining experience. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, discrete and knowledgeable . We will be back. Finish your meal with a glass of cabanel for sure !

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by the hotel for the cassoulet. Made reservations and ate on the outside patio. Service was mediocre and the cassoulet was a disappointment. I've had much better, even in the US!
Just an Okay experience.

Yelp
Excellent food; undoubtedly the best in the medieval city. I love what they're aiming for with the food, which may be described as Fresh French. Four stars because the execution still needs a little polishing, and the service, while warm and welcoming in the casual, comfortable room, isn't five-star. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
This restaurant had a Michelin Plate rated restaurant. Food was every bit deserving of the rating. The problem was with the service and wine. I and several others had the "menu serving" with the wine pairing. The wine would be served midway through the serving rather than prior to the serving. Wine and food are to be enjoyed together. Serve the wine prior to serving the food or even serve all wines so that it can breathe. The other issue is the quality of the wine. I know that wine and it is not of high quality. Plus the red wine was served with my pork with a lighter sauce, the lamb with a heavy sauce and the Cassoulet. Those are three very divergent dishes to be serving the same wine.
Lastly, I have to mention the restroom. My wife saw a cockroach in the restroom. There was no toilet seat or toilet paper.
While the food may have been good, eating at this level is an overall experience. This restaurant did measure up!
