"Nans Gaillard, a local lad and a demanding chef, dreamt of opening his own restaurant in La Ciotat where he was born. After growing up in Brittany and his first steps as a chef with some impressive stints in Paris, with Joël Robuchon among others, he has made his childhood dream come true in this inn dating from the interwar period, perched on the cliffs facing the sea, with a knockout terrace and tall pine trees. In this magical setting, he pays tribute to regional produce as he subtly tweaks pedigree Gallic traditions: medley of heirloom tomatoes, fresh goat’s cheese and basil; John Dory in a light aioli sauce, fennel, beetroot, scallion and fish soup; a crunchy extravaganza of fresh and confit raspberries in vinegar, diplomate crème and iced parfait…" - Michelin Inspector

An excellent culinary experience, perched in the hills above the Côte d’Azur. Perfectly situated in the countryside, this little restaurant is a true jewel. Great views, exceptional service and delicious food— well deserving of their Michelin star. Two menus in offer (3 or four courses 62/90 euros respectively). The octopus dish was a particular stand out. Exceptional. The deserts were outstanding. Great wine list. While it’s still a Michelin star place, it is popular with folks from the area. It s not just a place for a special occasion, this should be a regular place for us all. Well done!

One star but way better than most local 1-stars. Same chef for 10 years, has evolved constantly. Add the jaw-dropping view on one of the most spectacular stretches of coast on the Mediterranean. Service perfect. No gimmicks, very subtle balance of flavours in every dish. At 85 EUR the menu is top value. Nice presentation with no superfluous stuff. Everything cooked to perfection.

I attended a Christmas luncheon here and was thoroughly impressed. Wonderful atmosphere, great ambiance and a superb view of the Mediterranean. The food was excellent and high quality and the staff was very attentive and professional. Everything was top notch and this place definitely merits Michelin stars. Impeccable down to the place settings. They have a lovely terrace and the building is maintained beautiful with bright colors and stylish decor. I highly recommend going here, especially for special occasions.

Fabulous evening made even more special by the extra effort of the staff to include me (English speaker) when describing each dish. The food was great, the atmosphere lovely. Fantastic! Thank you all so so much for making a special evening perfect.

They earned a Michelin star this year and while the food was great, I felt it was slightly lacking compared to other Michelin restaurants we came across during our trip to Provence and the Riviera. The thing that stands out as needing the most improvement was the service- it was slow and not as attentive as it should be. They gave us our menus and did not return for 20 min until we flagged them down asking to order. Maybe they were short staffed? Also, I know we are in France but all the other Michelin star restaurants had servers who spoke fluent English. There wasn't any staff here that spoke English well and sometimes it was difficult to understand their explanation of the dishes we were eating. This is not a big deal, but again for Michelin restaurants I have higher standards. We had dinner which was a good value at 98 euros each. The restaurant faces the ocean and we had a relaxing dinner, although it took a full 3 hours due to the slow service. The food was outstanding. I really enjoyed the vanilla bourbon emulsion that came with our fish. It was perfect. The pork was tender and served with the most amazing sauce. This restaurant knows how to pair the correct flavors to accompany the main ingredients in their dishes. Their lemon dessert was one of my favorites I've had on this trip.

Yelp
Trust your guts: this is an amazing 1 star Michelin place. After a few try out in the US, I needed to go back to an equivalent in France. What a great experience. The service was discrete, friendly yet respectful of our privacy. The location (especially when enjoying the patio), gives you a view of the corniche right below without being bothered by the noise (in October of course). Then comes the best part: amuse bouche served with the aperitif put us in a 'show me more' attitude, with a growing satisfaction with another amuse bouche served prior to the appetizers. The finesse and blend of delicate tastes already won us over before even starting the real meal. I went for the basic menu, sea food oriented. Difficult to describe the talent of the chef, helped with a smart wine pairing choice suggested by the sommelier (Cassis Blanc clos de Sté Magdeleine). Can't wait for my next trip there, this place is part of my to go list again

Yelp
Great hotel / restaurant . Food is in a good quality. You have here a menu at 38EUR with three (first course, course, dessert). The hotel is also great, most of the room have a beautiful see view. Rooms are clean. The beach just near the hotel, and the place is quiet (the road is not so far but there is no noise).
