"In the world-famous village of Saint Émilion, Yannick Alléno rigorously supervises the restaurant of this luxury hotel, a former convent whose nuns offered sanctuary to pilgrims and travellers. Alléno has recruited Sébastien Faramond and a trusted team, who turn out finely tuned dishes that lean towards the terroir of Southwest France, albeit with the sauces and reductions that are the trademark and signature of executive chef Alléno. The starter, almost but not quite vegetarian thanks to wafer-thin shavings of Gascony bacon, invites the diner to explore Aquitaine’s culinary cornucopia, while the dessert, a warm chocolate tart, Maury-flavoured sauce and an ice cream perfumed with Tahitian vanilla, signed Sébastien Nabaille, is wickedly tempting. Needless to say, the superb wines of Saint-Émilion will play a prominent role in your meal." - Michelin Inspector

Have only been to one other two Michelin star restaurant and I have to say this one was better. If not purely for the vegetable dish which was all of our favourites. The caviar egg dish and the second pigeon dish was superb. The other were on par and great quality. The only experience I did not love was the towel over my head, not mu thing as I like to eat at my own pace, but the pigeon itself was interesting. The sommeliers were excellent 👌 the wine suggestions were phenomenal and on fact I found my new favourite red. As we were warned, don't eat too much bread because the portions per plate are fairly big so it's a struggle to get through. But of course no food for me anyway was left. Really special restaurant with beautiful decor and a happy bunch of employees so highly recommend.

It was a last minute discovery as we randomly visited Saint-Emillion on our way back home. We were extremely lucky that one table in the restaurant had been cancelled the night before so we could enjoy dinner here. And it was absolutely amazing, what an experience! Very attentfull staff, but a special thanks to Glenn and Daphne who explained us the menu and the pairing wines in our native language. Made it even more special. We'll definitely come back!

We had dinner at le Table de Pavie. Phenomenal food and experience, especially the courses that tell a story of local culture. The tasting menu can go quite late (ours took more than 5 hours) and sometimes we felt they had forgotten us, but perhaps that’s because we are not night owls! All in all, the portions were generous, even when it came to delicacies like caviar, and the menu was quite well thought out. You can also request a shorter menu so it doesn’t take as long, which is what I did for my second visit.

We had lunch at La Table de Pavie at St Emilion in May 2025. It was probably one of the highlights of our entire trip to 10 countries. From the time we enjoyed our aperitifs in the courtyard overlooking the amazing city to the immaculate service inside the restaurant. We would highly recommend this experience if you are looking for a white glove haute French cuisine in the area. We also visited a few other Michelin starred restaurants in the area, but the entire experience at Pavie is one of the kind. At a price, of course. The reason for the 4/5 stars for the food was because we found 1 of the courses very salty, but perhaps our palate was not used to it. It was bar none the most romantic meal we had for our one month trip. The staff was very knowledgeable and converse fluently in English. The entire meal took a good 3 hours, ended with desert and coffee at the courtyard to enjoy the views. Highly recommended.

Lunch at La Table de Pavie — An Exceptional Experience Our lunch at La Table de Pavie was truly unforgettable. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and invited to begin our experience on the terrace, where we enjoyed a drink and a selection of amuse-bouches while taking in a panoramic view of Saint-Émilion. With the clear blue sky, gentle sunlight, and a refreshing breeze, it was the perfect start. After this lovely moment, we were guided to our table inside to begin the Esprit de Pavie set menu: • Steamed omelette served with Prunier caviar and two sauces • Koji-Zoto cooked in Graves wine, with mature Mimolette and cockles • Duplantier duck with orange sugar turnip, black grapefruit, and Bordelaise liver toast • Gently roasted apple with Espelette pepper, apple sabayon, and caramelized rye bread Wine pairing: • White: Château Latour Martillac Blanc, Pessac-Léognan 2022 • Red: Château Fleur Cardinale 2016 Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing refined flavors, seasonal ingredients, and a high level of culinary precision. The service was equally impressive—highly professional, well-trained, and gracefully attentive throughout. After dessert and a delightful petit four, we were invited back to the terrace for a fresh herbal tea, beautifully concluding both our lunch and our visit to Saint-Émilion. It was the perfect finale to our wine journey in Bordeaux.

I literally don't have the words to properly describe this experience. The precision of their service delivering dishes and refilling wine feels like a dance. The dining room is a work of art. The food is inspired and magnificent. I think a lot about taking aspects of our life and turning them into a work of art. The cuisine as La Table de Pavie is nothing short of a masterpiece. What an experience

I visited here 5 years ago and had a perfect lunch. The staffs were all professional and the service was excellent. I think the chef changed a few years ago. However, I still can't forget the lobster dish and the St. Emilion wines. I plan to visit again to experience the new chef's cuisine with wine.

Bravo to the management and the whole team. Every detail is pure perfection. Elevated Haute-Cusine but sans pretensions and snobbery. I’d even call the atmosphere humble and very generous. A memorable meal and experience. ❤️
