The 24 Best Restaurants in Salvador, Brazil | Eater

"Salvador’s average temperature hovers around 82 degrees; beat the heat with a jar of sangria at this little slice of Spain, located on a corner in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood, while nibbling on some pintxos and tapas. Spanish chef Jose Morchon works with local chef Juli Holler to serve snacks with a Mediterranean accent: beef with duck mousse and green grapes, quail egg with chorizo and jamón, and other creative combinations served on slices of bread. Various tortillas (chorizo and bell pepper, or shrimp and leeks) fill out the menu, which also includes seafood dishes and paellas." - Rafael Tonon

Tapas in Bahia? Had to try it. I was impressed! Service was friendly and attentive. Tapas were good-sized portions. Only needed two tapas for a meal for two people. The flavor of the food was excellent! The Sangria was fresh! I can't describe the many items decorating the restaurant. Eclectic. You have to see it!

Best prawns I've had in a long while. The flavours in the octopus/prawn stew were so rich and complex we had every last drop. Definitely recommend giving it a go. We don't speak much Portuguese so we just asked the waiter to feed us the best dishes and he certainly did. Also, the summer cocktails go down pretty easy😉

Delicious food and really nice pricing. I was happy because they had a menu in English, which I found is extremely rare in Salvador. The wine selection was nice and the overall aesthetic was really cool. Difficult parking.

Lovely place to dine with the locals! I’ve been in mine, took me here and, the music and vibes were excellent and the food was pretty good, too. Definitely recommend the tuna tartare, it comes in a heart shape!

It was Saturday night so the restaurant was really busy, we had to wait for thirty minutes to get the table. However the food was fantastic! Especially Octopus was my favorite! It was very soft and loved the combination with the bread and tomato salsa!!! They offered us a little shot of Pumpkin soup was really tasty too! We had one of the great meals there!

Many interesting dishes, but it's difficult to find or identify them on the menu. The place gets crazy busy and chaotic at times. The last seating options in the main hallway are unpleasant.

Delicious tapa bar en Salvador if you're craving for Spanish dishes this is the place. As a tapa bar plates are good for sharing between 2 or more. Highly recommend the Serrano ham and patatas bravas. If you like beer order the Colorado Appia.

La Taperia is a very nice place to spend some time with friends on a Friday night. The food & drinks menu is extensive and amazing, and the owner of the place will drop by your table often to make sure you're having a good time and offer you special drinks, like a shot of Tequila 1800!. You do need to book a table in advance if you want to see the Sunset from the upper floors, but I guess the tables by the Rio Vermelho seashore also offer a fantastic view. I totally recommend La Taperia!!!

Yelp
Very good place for tapas, we got papas bravas, fillet mignon tabla ibérica with cheeses, jamón, & Chorizo. Everything was very good. I got a Negroni and a tinto de verano for drinks and my friend got a mojito tropical. The bill was around R$190. The price is a bit expensive.
