Right from the moment I said hello, the waitress responded with “je ne parle pas anglais.” That’s fine, but a bit surprising considering we’re in Montreal, not a remote part of Quebec. I switched to French and asked for recommendations, but she didn’t seem interested in helping at all.
I ordered the 2-taco combo with a drink (about $19 with tip): one carnitas and one suadero. When I asked which she recommended between carnitas and asada, she said the carnitas were better.
The suadero (braised beef) was okay—bland and nothing memorable, but edible. The carnitas, however, were genuinely bad: it tasted like freezer burn and had large chunks of fat. I let the waitress know, and her response was simply, “that’s how our food tastes, but I’ll ask if you can change it.” I told her not to worry if it wasn’t possible, but she never followed up, which felt unprofessional.
To top it off, I ended up feeling extremely sick afterward.
Overall: 1/5. I do not recommend. Food was very low quality and not to mention the service was awful
