Google
It's hard to find words that will distinguish this place from other Mexican restaurant because it really is in a class of its own and by that I mean high above everyone else. Hands down the best burrito I've ever had and it's not even close. The lengua quesadilla was also high caliber, the meat was perfectly seasoned tender amd juicy. The asada tacos were huge and the meat was also seasoned very well and cooked to a nice tenderness with the perfect charr

Google
The food was amazing! They gave us samples of their top meat choices (asada, chicken, and al pastor) and they were all fire! The ladies were super nice and sweet. Restaurant is clean and we received our food pretty quick. Definitely recommend!!

I’ve only been to La Taqueria once, but I am sure I’ll be back often. The service was great, as soon as I walked in with my kids they asked if it was our first time and started passing us samples from their meats. I always go for el pastor, and there’s was so good. I had supreme tacos and my kids had a quesadilla and a burrito. I had to order more to go as well. I also tried their aguas frescas, horchata and guava, both pretty good. My favorite was Guava. Definitely coming back again. They even have a drive thru, and now that I know about them I’ll be driving thru too often. I recommend 10/10.

Google
Though this place is in the middle of nowhere, literally farmland, you will not have a more delicious meal or Taco no matter what you choose from the root to the toot. This place is really really good

Google
This place is clean and has great food but the service was a little off and the price for a taco was out of this world super expensive so if u want to take stuff off your taco and put it to the side ur not able to do that either keep it on or don't I thought that was a little different I have surgery and I'm not able to eat certain foods so that kinda of bored me but the place had some amazing food super different there pico is not spicy which was awesome well if u have money to burn this is the place there food is amazing and the place is clean

We stopped by this place during our business visit. We absolutely loved the food. People were very friendly as well. They gave us some sample of meat to try before we order !! Absolutely must try place. Good tasting food with fast and friendly service

Google
Had two tacos. They were pretty good. One chicken. One asada. My first time having tacos that had beans on them but it kinda worked. It made them more filling. But for $6 a taco, I would prefer more meat to beefing it up with beans. Flavor was good. Hot sauces were good.

Best in Turlock! Delicious. You are missing out if you haven't tried!!

Yelp
This place is good. Nestled near the theater. This place can satisfy anyone's hunger cravings. My go to is their tacos. I love me some tacos. If I had one gripe though, this place can get expensive for a family of four. Really expensive.

Yelp
Drove all the way from Texas for the good stuff. I might have left California in my past but I couldn't help myself and I had to get my La Taqueria fix. If only I could figure out a way to open my own in Texas that way I don't have to drive 1,600 miles for some good Mexican food. Don't get me wrong TexMex has its place but it doesn't get better in California than some La Taqueria. Believe the hype, the taco Tuesday specials have nothing on this. Tell a friend.

Yelp
Quesdailla, 4 tacos and a mexican coke... $63... 6.75 a taco and 3.50 for cheese and sour cream... Won't ever come back here! And it was the small mexican coke for 5 bucks! Food is good, but $10 bucks is a but much for a taco...

Yelp
This place is OUTSTANDING , everyone needs to make a pit stop in Turlock, CA to try these delicious tacos! The family owned establishment has excellent service and quality you can see and taste. Your tongues tastebuds will be dancing and having you smiling. The atmosphere has the old western ranchero vibes with old Pancho Villa movie art tons of natural light.

Yelp
Not 10 days later I had more errands in Turlock so had to get these tacos. We were underwhelmed by the hype of best tacos in the area.....they still get a 4 but next time if in the area would get an Al pastor burrito. So we got a carne asada, Al pastor, and lengua tacos. How you treat the tortilla on a taco is a critical part and most places fail at that, this place was no different as they just have tortillas that are quickly put in the grill.. what saved a lower review was the Al pastor was very good. Carne asada was not very good for our taste and my lengua was actually pretty good. They put beans and the sauces where good in the tacos so they were ok but would. It get that again here. Service was excellent and the chips which you have to buy as a side where delicious, crispy, freshly made and not greasy.

Yelp
This place has really improved. I find myself craving a burrito a lot from here. They are huge and the meat quality is really good. I've been getting the burrito Supreme with carnitas and shrimp, grilled, add rice and a side of grilled onions. Totally hits the spot and I always have some left over for later. It's pricey, but I love that they include avocado and a decent amount of sour cream, where I find taco trucks lacking. The loaded chips are always food and I can get full off of 1 taco!

Yelp
They claim to have "The Best Tacos and Burritos in the Whole World" and they are! Their mother store is in the Mission District in SF. So if you know that place, come here. It's run by the same family. You order at the counter. The menu is simple: taco, burrito or over chips. Lots of meat choices including lengua and cabeza. You can order it "super" or "meat only" if you're following a low-carb lifestyle. They also have vegetable only options. I ordered 2 tacos: carnitas and al pastor. Their tacos are HUGE! Big chunks of meat and loaded with beans and salsa. I got them super so that included cheese on the bottom of the taco shell, sour cream and avocado on top. Omg!! They were delicious. I would have gotten a 3rd taco but I was so full. I like that they have many agua frescas to choose from: strawberry, pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, guava, mango, horchata... all made to order and fresh!

Yelp
Excellent food. Really friendly staff. Prompt service. Casual atmosphere with posters from Mexican movies on the walls. Try the lengua: it's the best!

Yelp
Flour Carnitas Quesadilla is my go to here! So good! Salsa is fire ! "Crispy Shrimp Tacos are even better!!
google avatar

Carol B.

Yelp
Best tacos in town! The food is excellent. Pulled up to the restaurant opened the door and floated into the smell of roasted meat. The tacos were crispy, stuffed full of asada, tasty beans, avocado and sour cream. Homemade heaven!
google avatar

RD H.

Yelp
Incredible flavor, generous sizes and very friendly accurate service!!! We love to come here whenever we are in town and Highly recommend this restaurant!!
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
More sauce. This is a household favorite and we try to go when we're in the area. Nothing is better than a dorado style super taco with a large horchata. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Debra H.

Yelp
I ordered the loaded chips with Chile verde, no onions, salsa, no added spice. first I received my loaded chips with a mound of green Chile. Then I got my. I've never seen red Chile verde?? I'm guessing ownership has change. The family that owned this place before, really knew how to cook and were so friendly and always made suggestions. I don't think I'll be coming back here again. The meat was over cooke, no flavor.
google avatar

Floyd L.

Yelp
The Super Quesadilla with Asada Also, the super taco with pastor are phenomenal. They are a lil pricey but definitely worth it!
google avatar

Lea M.

Yelp
Best Taqueria in the area hands down! Just like the sister restaurant in San Francisco ... the meat is perfection, the beans are whole beans but so creamy and delicious and the portions are beyond generous. I highly recommend the green salsa on everything because it is literally FIRE!
google avatar

Dionne B.

Yelp
First time going here. Mgr was so nice gave us samples of meat to try. The food was very good! My hubby had Al Pastor burrito I had the nachos with carne asada loaded. We will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Giddiani L.

Yelp
Really bad service and overpriced. I think that if they had friendlier staff then it might be worth going back again but I'll never be back because I was not pleased with their service or pricing.
google avatar

Evangelina G.

Yelp
Tacos were amazing !!!! I am not a fan of adobada but I have to say they were amazing by far the best . Customer service was great . Definitely returning
google avatar

Fae R.

Yelp
5 out of 5 for the food. The burritos are a good size and their meat has great flavor. I love their food but the price, ugh! A basic taco or burrito is already pricey and then they charge even more if you want cheese, sour cream or avocado. Chips and salsa is an extra charge too. It's taco truck food that you order at the counter and pick up yourself but at gourmet Mexican restaurant prices without the service. I would go here more often if the prices were reasonable but unfortunately they're not. Also, bring cash. They charge if you use a card.

Victoria G.

Yelp
A little expensive but definitely worth it. Super taco- Asada crispy are the way to go.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
I ordered a chili Verde burrito and it was delicious! The super burrito that I ordered had avocado on it in the avocados fresh. The only thing I didn't like about the burrito was I said yes to hot sauce it when they say hot sauce they mean hot sauce! Next time I'm gonna say no to the hot sauce my lips were burning I couldn't eat the whole burrito because of that only grape flavor of the sauce but too hot
google avatar

Andres K.

Yelp
Still charging higher prices, not any consistent servings of meat in the tacos. Miniscule amounts of cheese on what they are trying to call quesadillas whether with or without meat. Been coming here for 7 years. It has ALWAYS been a higher priced taco but it was worth it at one time. That time has passed.
google avatar

j s.

Yelp
We eat there often, the loaded nachos are always good! Thanks for your constant dedication!

Yelp
Let me start by saying that fast food is not my thing so I avoided this place. I Was Wrong. This is not fast food at all. I ordered a Carne asada soft shell taco and it came to almost $6. I did not order a beverage but was talking to the nice woman at the window and she handed me this delicious strawberry beverage that was so refreshing. I then found out she was the owner and is using the same recipe from her family's original taqueria in SF from over 30 years ago. Back to my taco, which was actually the size of two tacos. The Carne asada was thick cut and no fat at all and the corn tortilla was super soft. I definitely recommend this place for your lunch needs. I haven't explored the menu yet....but I'll be back.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Terrible customer service, I think these people hate their life and are forced to work here. The older lady along with everyone else have a stank face. If you're doing take out, Don't ask for extra salsa cause they will act like it's the last salsa in the entire world, if you're dining in the salsa is by the entrance but they won't tell you that. Good food, it's a knock off Super Taqueria from the Bay Area but 2 times overpriced. It's only worth going if you're ready to spend a little extra for a simple burrito or tacos on average sized tortillas. P.S : Don't put pico de gallo in your tacos that just ruins the taste
google avatar

Aj D.

Yelp
Bad drive thru customer service. Overpriced 15 dollar asada Super burrito . Both salsa's with no flavor. Save your money try a different Mexican food place.

D L.

Yelp
We've eaten here for years, but not sure if we will continue the last three times we went the meat and their burritos have not been very good. We have gotten chunks of fat and gristle in the burritos. And for $10 I would not expect that. There is a taco truck by rotten Robbie's in Santa Nella that puts out awesome burritos. I wish they would look at possibly the quality of meat and being a little more cautious of what they put into their burritos.

Mariana R.

Yelp
10/10 DO NOT recommend this place. I paid $16.09 for a "super" shrimp burrito that was really small, very little rice, beans, and topping. The shrimp in the burrito were a joke. The shrimp were the size of a quarter. They seemed to of literally just been boiled and plopped on the burrito. No seasoning and were very rubbery. Tortilla was really big and in my opinion it was more tortilla than the actually burrito filling. Customer service, not great. Definitely seemed like she didn't want to be there and definitely no customer service Eventhough there was maybe 3 people dining in, and when I walked in I saw maybe 2 cars in the drive-thru with not a single soul waiting in line to order to atleast ask how your day is going. Definitely will not be going back. Too expensive for neither QUALITY OR QUANTITY. This place is definitely a joke.

Federico R.

Yelp
Coming in from the Bay Area I knew La Taqueria's mother restaurant is a landmark. I'll start by saying the staff was supper friendly and proud of their family business. Ordered a couple of super burritos (grilled chicken for my wife and Lengua for myself). Service was very fast but I had enough time to chat with the woman at the register. She told me about their house made Al pastor and out from behind the counter I received a sample. The lengua was awesome, super tender and tasty but I'm goin' al pastor next time after that sample! The burrito was huge but I got through it LOL! You have to know that they do not fill their burritos with rice but instead focus on quality meats, beans, etc. So even with the size i was very satisfied but not weighed down. Five stars for the wonderful folks at this restaurant. Glad I found you!!!!
google avatar

Debbie T.

Yelp
Place was messy with clutter, still have Christmas tree up and bags of decorations scattered around. Tables and floors very dirty. Paid $29 for chicken super burrito (which didn't look big at all) and a super taco with 2 sodas. Expensive and not filling. They charge extra for sour cream, pico de gallo and guacamole which I think should be included on anything "super". I'll stick to Aldelbertos super burritos.
google avatar

Italy R.

Yelp
Sooo good !! Best lengua tacos I've ever had the meat is tender, melts in your mouth ! Ingredients are always fresh !! Only reason I didn't give them 5 starts is because of their HIGH PRICES !!!
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Outstanding, quick and friendly team! The shrimp may steal the show! The burrito was filled to the brim and was delicious. Also had the chicken burrito and which had a delicious green sauce. For fast fresh food stop here it is great!
google avatar

Jovan M.

Yelp
I was debating whether 2 or 3 stars. The food was OK if not kind of bland. The service, themes, and cleanliness are all good. So far I would say a solid three. Except when I paid $5 and change per said bland taco. This is madness! It's an OK sized portion. Packed full of meat. Not bad by any means but it had little to no flavor or character. Kind of basic which does have a simple homemade type of charm to it. But the price is way too high in my opinion. But is that worth $20 for three tacos and a drink. No. The answer is no.

Vicky N.

Yelp
The food is okay, it's overpriced. It's not authentic Mexican food, it's more "Americanized". The super burrito we got was 14 bucks and was super small. If you're craving authentic Mexican food this isn't the place to go.
google avatar

Eddie G.

Yelp
La Taqueria has the BEST TACOS IN TOWN!!!! Everything is made to order fresh off the grill!! Everyone there is so friendly, specially the MOM/Grandma

Camila C.

Yelp
Tasty and filling tacos! Stopped by for the first time. It was quite empty so I was a little skeptic but I gave it a try. Before ordering the lady did warn us they were big tacos and she was not lying. Two tacos filled me up. The agua frescas were also very good.
google avatar

Karla H.

Yelp
I didn't like the nasty food!! Cheap store bought tortillas for flavorless taco de pollo!!! Asada burrito very skinny this Restaurant it's a joke very Expensive!!!!! We paid $31.62 for this worthless food! BEWARE OF HIGH EXPENSIVE NOT GOOD FOOD!!! I Don't mind paying for good food but this food is totally NOT Worth THE CRAZY AMOUNT OF MONEY this People charge!!! $7.35 for that 1chicken taco in the photo $13.98 for that skinny asada burrito and $4.00 per each drink with No refills!!! JUST CRAZY DUMB EXPENSIVE FOR NASTIEST CHEAP FOOD IN TURLOCK!!!
google avatar

Jazmine A.

Yelp
Place is overpriced and meat was disgusting. Will not be going back. The price was not worth it.

Jorge E.

Yelp
Lower-Mid tear quality Mexican food. Got super burrito and a cup of water. Was $15. Dined in and it did not come with chips and salsa like most places. For the money, there are other Mexican restaurants that give you a better quality burrito. This is Super Taqueria quality food. Filled me up but it did not satisfy. Very quick tho. Got my burrito in less than 5 minutes. Very friendly staff. If you like authentic Mexican food, I would recommend going to a taco truck instead. Takes longer but taste better, you should know. If you like Taco Bell, you'll probably think this place is the bomb. Overall, not impressed.
google avatar

Juan D.

Yelp
The food here was bad. I have been to the original store in San Francisco and this is not what they make over there. The sour cream and avocado was just on the edge of the super tacos for looks. The quesadilla was basically a regular taco with little cheese and barley any chicken. The service was not that good either the lady was pretty mean about me adding a drink after paying. The pricing does not match the quality nor the amount of food I'm paying for. Definitely the last time coming here. I would rather drive the hour and a half to San Francisco to get them done right
google avatar

Chio O.

Yelp
I have been to several taquerias around the area looking for that one burrito de Carne Asada to hit the spot of deliciousness. I can know say, after 3 years I have found it! I drive by not with the intention of stopping, but since it was on my way out the town I stopped and ordered a carne Asada burrito with an horchata. I first had the water which of the bat was refreshing, not overly sweet. My thoughts were if the water is this good, I can't imagine what the burrito will taste like. 15 minutes later, I take the first bite and words out of my mouth were "OMG, this is good" With that said, definitely going back. This place has gained a new customer. Thanks for the great service!
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
I like the wood furniture and film prints on the wall. 2 carne asada tacos and a shrimp burrito for $22, no drinks. Yikes! Shrimp is not cooked until you order-makes a big difference! Tortilla is not good - too stretchy and artificial like Chipotle. My fav flour tortillas have dark spots and crackle a little. This one had no flavor. Shrimp and rice were great though. My son liked his carne asada tacos which had beans, cheese and pico. This place does an excellent job explaining what each item contains when you order it. English is the predominant language here but they can speak Spanish if you want. The menus on the walls are bilingual too. Some other customer picked up our order (because they never called our number), took it back to his table, figured out it wasn't his and brought it back. They told him he picked up the wrong number (he didn't; I saw everything) and called our number. They gave it to my son instead of remaking it. We were too hungry and I'm no germophobe so we ate it. No complaint - I didn't want them to have to remake it. Nice people here. It's a little pricey but we didn't have to tip and the quality is as good as a sit down restaurant.
google avatar

Kayla M.

Yelp
Incredible flavor and fresh ingredients. They have nearly every type of taco you could want and each of them is I'm sure delicious. Would strongly recommend the camarón (shrimp), chorizo, and pollo (shredded chicken). Guacamole is also fantastic. Hope this place continues to do well -- go support them!
google avatar

Leonard V.

Yelp
One of the best taco shops I've eaten at in a very long time. La Taqueria was very clean and the workers were very polite. They made us feel at home. The tacos were loaded with meat and the salsas were spicy and delicious, very authentic! I will definitely be stopping by when I'm in town.
google avatar

Kumar C.

Yelp
It was just ok, the food was more expensive than you'd expect and just alright. They give a lot of meat tho.

Rosie G.

Yelp
Woman taking orders this evening could benefit from listening when taking orders and less snarkiness. Asked for rice in all burritos and also let her know what else we wanted in specific burritos because younger children are picky eaters. Of course rice was missing. She asked if we wanted the tortillas with the burritos. Por favor señora! Do better management!
google avatar

Damian F.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Off highway 99 (west main exit), next door to sonic in front of the movie theater. It's original location is in San Francisco on Mission St. Anyone who knows good Mexican food knows Mission St in San Francisco has some of the best Mexican food in the country. It's nice to have another location brought to the Central Valley. They opened a few years ago and the food has been spectacular ever since. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to Mexican food. I've been all over California and I have to say the best Mexican food is in the 209 area. This place definitely ranks up there with some of the best. Good selection of meats, food, and drinks. Some of my favorites are the burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. The asada and shredded chicken are my favorite meats. They load their tacos and burritos. Very filling! Not your typical street taco size so be conscious when ordering multiple. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Devin V.

Yelp
Amazing place to go eat !!! Tacos are huge so don't order to many !!! Service was also great! Really loved the place. I definitely will go back sometime soon!

Nevaeh C.

Yelp
Okay tacos. The lady forgot to add our tacos then proceeded to act like it was our fault even though she repeated our order back to us. She also laughed the whole time we were ordering. If she waited to finish her conversation maybe we would've gotten everything we ordered. Also who doesn't chop up cilantro? 30 dollars for three tacos foh I could've made some homemade tortillas unlike the store bought ones they give you Their agua frescas aren't even homemade Don't get me started on the lack of seasoning
