La Tazza Cafe

I stopped in because it looked clean and affordable. My salad was great. The portions I saw on other tables were generous. The owner was super helpful and engaging. Recommend.

We stayed near Paddington Station and stumbled across La Tazza by accident - and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming. We ended up going there every morning for breakfast, and even tried dinner one evening (the fish and chips were excellent!). People who work there are wonderful, and it was always such a pleasure to chat with the owner. We’ll definitely be back! (Anna)

La Tazza is a great spot to get some breakfast food after leaving Paddington station. I came here on a weekday, where it was relatively busy but seats available, the staff were quick and efficient (the food was done in 5 mins!) and the food itself was great. Cooked perfectly. The prices here were pretty reasonable.

Hmm, not exactly enthralled with this place. Ordered chicken supreme and received a flat piece of chicken on a single lettuce leaf. Wasn’t the creamy masterpiece I was expecting. My son enjoyed his spaghetti & meatballs. Service was pretty basic. Was ok, but won’t be rushing back.

Visited 19/06/2024, arrived late so not many options from desserts menu to try, out of cheesecake, but understandable as near closing time. The older gentleman behind the counter was very accommodating and helpful along with the younger server, they allowed us to take our time. The apple pie was nice and portion was decent, very filling and tasty. Lovely venue with decent amount of seating, would recommend if near to Paddington/St Mary’s Hospital 👍🏽 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very wonderful and clean cafe, with excellent service. The service staff is very kind and tasteful. The food is delicious and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend trying it.

Saw some negative reviews about this place as I had my dinner there and to be honest, I don't understand them at all. In short, a good value for money. Excellent service thanks to the very friendly and attentive staff. Food was tasty too. Ordered pepperoni pizza, spaghetti bolognese and hot chocolate, all of which were super delicious. Was surprised that this restaurant was empty on a Wednesday night but there were a bit more people coming in after 9pm. It definitely deserves more customers in my opinion!

I wanted to take a moment to share my outstanding experience at your La Tazza Caffe. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with excellent service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable. One feature that truly make me confortable is to providing of free WiFi. (Which I cannot say about the competitors "next door") In this day and age, it's essential to stay connected, (it is absolutely necessary in 21st century) and your recognition of this need is commendable. I appreciate being able to get work and browse the internet seamlessly while enjoying your services. I must also acknowledge the incredible efforts of Kiki, the owner. Kiki's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, as they consistently went the extra mile to ensure that my visit was memorable. It's rare to encounter such dedication, and it made all the difference in my experience. Another aspect that stood out to me was your reasonable prices. It's refreshing to find an establishment that combines great quality with affordability. I felt that I was getting excellent value for my money, and I didn't have to compromise on the quality of service. The well-curated background music added to the overall ambiance of the place. It created a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to focus and enjoy my time spent there. One of the highlights of my visit was the convenience it offered. I had a few hours between my hospital appointments, and your establishment provided the perfect space for me to accomplish some work. It was super convenient to have everything I needed in one place, and I was able to be productive in a comfortable environment. Lastly, I must commend the kitchen staff. La Tazza is located conveniently on Praed Street right outside of the Paddington underground station. It is a convenient location to M&S and there are lots of food options/restaurant around. We chose La Tazza because it's full English breakfast (my favorite kind of breakfast is cheaper than most in the neighborhood). It is also close to the bus tours that we were going to go on for the day. For two people, we ordered a hot chocolate and an extra Full English breakfast(we are Americans, of course we want it big). Just kidding, we are pretty skinny people and we thought we don't need two plates of the same/similar food. So we ended up just sharing a bigger plate, which turned out to be perfect and at a lower rate for the two of us. The breakfast included a chicken sausage, two slices of seared pork, some dried, beans, mushrooms, two slices of toasted bread, two sunny side eggs, a black stuffed fatty muffin for 15.50 pounds? The breakfast tasted good, not amazing as I have had better full English breakfast in London. The experience was great overall. And the store also had a plethora of sauce packets. The whole experience felt very local and convenient. It reminded me of our bodegas in NYC. I would recommended as a go to spot in a hurry.

The place is clean and the food is great. Close to Paddington station and price is reasonable... Gentrit is friendly. Come and try it, highly recommended!!!

We had been two restaurants and finally found this one. The moved a couple to another table so our party of 8 could sit together. The young lady helping us was very sweet. That's why they get two stars. The food was not great. I had a chili cheese jacket potato. It came out and there was no cheese but the chili was ok and the potato was perfect. My husband had the chicken, avocado, jacket potato. The chicken was room temperature chicken salad with some avocado on it. Not very appetizing to say the least. The man behind the counter made our salads with his bare hands. That's just wrong. Our other companions had 2 pizzas that were so greasy the crust was soaked. Only the edges were edible. It was not an enjoyable meal.

First English breakfast that I had in London and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. The egg was slightly runny, just like how I like it. The beans, sausage, and toast worked together well. However I will say the bacon was super salty. The cafe is clean and bright with lots of natural light. It really close to the Paddington station. The employees were super kind and offered us coffee on the house! I would def come back.

Cute little hole in the wall place I found when looking for some good free wifi, since my hotel's wifi sucks. I walked in and the gal was so sweet and welcomed me and gave me the password. I had to checkin for my next day's flight out of LHR and I couldn't do it with the hotel's wifi. Ordered a Latte and stayed for dinner and ordered a Chicken Curry. Delicious! The spice is just right and the chicken is so tender. The great part of this experience for me is that they are open till 11:00p. I would definitely come back when I'm in town.

I got the strawberry shake and chicken sandwich. The strawberry shake is pretty mediocre, such that it was hard thick and was very bland to the taste. The texture was just weird. Makes the serving cup makes sense since it's in a coffee cup. The sand which was really underwhelming. Nothing was seasoned. The place itself is clean and the people working here seem friendly. Not a bad stop if you're like means waiting here on a layover.

Well the man at the counter was extremely unfriendly and disrespectful. He lamented that I am using a card and not paying cash when "accepts Visa and MasterCard" signs are plastered on the register. Then I was told I cannot seat at the big table as "it may get busy". So I was hustled to a smaller table. Dear tourists, find another place to plunk your money. It is my last night in London and I found this place. Bad luck! (On a side note, Edinburgh is so much better). On a positive note, the girl who was serving tables was nice. The tomato soup tasted like canned soup poured straight into a bowl. No basil taste at all. The spaghetti was bland. No parmesan cheese. The food and service was awful.

The place is only occupied by 3 customers where it can seat 30. They insist on us two to sit on a small table for two, claiming it's only big parties to sit on the big table. Interestingly, ONE man decides to sit at the big table and the waitress allows this to happen. Why did the same waitress tell us we had to move when she let this guy sit wherever he wanted? Discrimination! And guess what, it's London, and the waitress cannot even understand what we were ordering. Black pudding. Black pudding!!!

Overall, good experience. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Staff friendly, food served promptly - albeit could use a little more seasoning (disclaimer I'm prefer spicy food, so not a knock on the chef/cook). And ... the PRICE is RIGHT!!! Worth the time :-) Note: The Yelp location is off by roughly 20-30 feet so you'll need to pay attention.

Well below average food and overpriced for what you are getting. Ps this place also does not take credit cards.

I was very disappointed during my abbreviated time at this cafe. I was planning on going to Momento next door for a coffee, but it was closed, so I decided on this place. I ordered a latte and although it was quite nice, the ambiance really ruined what should have been a comfortable cup of coffee. The staff was busy trying to take out the mirrors with screw drivers and you would hear plaster and glass breaking every five seconds: not what I would call relaxing nor exactly appropriate. If you have to do work on your cafe, close it!! Don't allow customers to come in and then give them a less than satisfying experience. I was deeply disappointed, so much so that I asked for a take away cup, paid and quickly left. I wish Momento was open...

We had English breakfast for £4.5 . There was sunny side eggs, bacon, baked beans and sausage. We also had toast with smoked Salmon & scrambled eggs for £4.1 . The scrambled eggs were great. Light and hot without too much cream or butter. The service was decent.

I ordered the meat lasagna. It was very tasty. Probably the best lasagna I've had in London.

Great diner! Good prices and food was outstanding. My husband got the English breakfast. It was a lot of food. I got a very fresh veggie omelet with fries/chips. Chips weren't warm enough, but they were still good.

Great breakfast at a very decent price. I stayed at Paddington Tune for about nine days during my visit to London and went there four times for breakfast. Absolutely love it. Nice little cafe. The only small complain I have is perhaps that the food is a tad too salty for my taste.

The food was of good quality. However, very slow service. There was no price tags on drinks, and I was charged £1.5 for a can of coke. Nonetheless, I do recommend the place for the quality of its food. As a local, I can't help but to describe their business strategy as "a tourist trap". Probably will not return.
